The Faculty of Education emerged with the establishment of the university. The Faculty offers teacher-training programs at various levels of professional development, from Associate Degree in Education (ADE) to PhD level. These programs are structured to provide teachers with a deep understanding of educational theories, practices and policies together with opportunities to focus on their personal and professional development through critical thinking. The emphasis of the teacher training programs is on intellectual academic and professional skills to train practitioners who can effectively address demands and challenges of the 21st century. The programs of study are designed at par with national & international standards recognized as professional education of teacher by both private and public sectors in the country and abroad. All the programs of faculty are embedded with the beauty of dual mode of instructions comprising distance learning and face-to-face component. The programs of PhD, MPhil / MS are designed to: provide an opportunity of higher education and research in the discipline of education. develop research potential and promote research activities among the professionals. develop a cadre of specialists and professionals who can undertake and lead quality research work in education The admission to PhD, MS/MPhil Education will be granted on merit according to policy of AI- Khair University and criteria given by HEC.
PhD, MPhil / MS Programs
MS/MPhil Education Programs consist of 24 credit hours course work and 12 credit hours research Project/Thesis. The program is spread over three semesters. The duration of each semester is 18 weeks. The specialization courses are offered in second semester, however, the student has to select their option for specialization or courses in the first semester.
Eligibility: Applicants for MS/ MPhil Education must possess MA/M.Ed Education or equivalent at least in Second Division. Students enrolled in MS/ MPhil has to pass the make-up courses prescribed by the department if they are not MA/M.Ed in Education.

PhD Education (MS, MPhil Based)
Requirements of PhD Education Program:
Eligibility to apply:
a) Graduate holding MS/MPhil or equivalent with GPA 3.00/1st Division.b) Subject (GAT) (Education) by NTS with at least 60% score c) The candidates fulfilling (a) and (b) above may apply for admission on prescribed form to the Dean, Faculty of Education. If the candidate
wishes to apply in more than one specialization, he/she has to apply separately for each specialization. However he/she will be given admission in one specialization (as per decision of Admission Committee) in the light of performance during interview for admission.
d) The admission of candidates will be decided by the Admission Committee observing merit, as per university policy and HEC criteria.e) Merit will be determined on the basis of educational qualification, related professional experience, score of GRE (Subject) and interview. f) The Dean office will intimate selected candidates.g) The applicants selected for admission will be facilitated for credit transfer.

M.A Education Program
Aims and objectives of M.A Education Program:
· To develop attitude and behavior appropriate for educational personnel. · To enable student/teachers to address individual and groups needs of learners. · To enable student/ teachers to address academic, psychological and social needs of children in the classroom. · To prepare teachers to critically analyze emerging trends and address future challenges in teaching and learning
process. · To acquaint teachers with latest curricula, teaching methods and techniques. · To meet country’s increasing demand of trained manpower in education at all levels.
Structure of the Program: The MA education program consists of 66 credit hours in either of the areas of specialization. This program is spread over four semesters (Two Years). The duration of each semester will be 18 weeks. Examinations are held by the university at the end of each semester. The program is comprised of Part I Theory and Workshop PartII Developing pedagogical skills. Necessary requirements are as follows:
i. Ten observations each in elective subjects chosen by the students. ii. Teaching practice for six weeks comprising at least 40 lessons in the two elective subjects under supervision of the
Faculty. iii. Evaluation of practical skill, (demonstration of two lessons in the two elective subjects in presence of the Board of
Examiners) Pass marks (in each component for theory and for practical skills in Teaching) will be 40%. Eligibility: A candidate having BA/BSC or equivalent

B.Ed. Program (one year)
Eligibility: A candidate having passed Bachelor Degree from a recognized university will be eligible for admission to B.Ed. Program.
The admission will be on merit basis determined on the basis of academic performance test and interv iew.
The Admission Committee will determine the merit and recommend candidates for admission.
Structure of the Program: B.Ed. Program consists of two semesters (36 Credit Hours)
Examinations are held by the University at the end of each semester. The program comprises of:
Part I Theory
Part II Developing pedagogical skills. Necessary requirements are as follows:
i. Ten observations in each elective subject chosen by the student. ii. Teaching practice for six weeks comprising at least 40 lessons of elective subject under supervis ion of the Faculty.
