One of the main topics of discussion at our annual
meeting in December was the future of the Fairfield
Reformed Church and how our property relates to that
important discussion.
The consistory has decided that we need to make
our property more attractive. We also need to make it
look alive. You will find a list of projects that the consis-
tory will be addressing this year relating to the property.
One of the biggest property concerns remains the
sanctuary. The consistory is establishing a small com-
mittee to obtain bids for the repair of the building, both
outside and in. This committee will report its findings
to the Building and Grounds committee by April 1st. It
is important for us to know the exact costs of repairing
our historic building.
If you would like to work on this short-term pro-
ject, please speak with Pastor Conover or any consistory
member.
God has entrusted us with this wonderful place
where we worship and fellowship and serve. He expects
us to be good stewards of the property and care for it
just as we care about the spiritual things. Please help
us to do that this year.
May this new year be a blessed one for each of us
and for our church.
Allan

Pray without ceasing
The more we pray, the more we shall want to pray. The more we pray, the more
we can pray. The more we pray, the more we shall pray. He who prays little will
pray less, but he who prays much will pray more. And he who prays more will
desire to pray more abundantly.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS
CHILD
Our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes were delivered to children in Zambia , see re-port at http://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child-countries/zambia/. Read how an 11 yr. old girl had been wanting a specific toy that her parents couldn’t afford and see how God an-swered her wish. AND Zimbabwe, see report at http://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child-countries/zimbabwe Read how an 11 yr. old boy needed specific school supplies and how a girl shared what her shoebox contained and brought two neighboring families together after years of hatred. Now we need to pray for the 50 children who received our shoeboxes and all the other children who will be blessed this year with shoeboxes from others as well as the Bible lessons the children will hear. You can read more stories about how God uses people and shoeboxes to bring children and families to Himself by go-ing to the Samaritan’s Purse website at http://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/occ-stories/.
