Hello, For your Fairfield-Suisun USD, you have specified HDPE Solid Plastic Toilet Partitions to comply with ASTM-84 fire testing requirements. Per CBC 2010 (second attachment), solid plastic toilet partitions are now required to meet NFPA 286 fire testing requirements. (Page 3 of 4) All potential bidding sub-contractors will be providing you with a price for old testing standards, and therefore your client will not be receiving compliant material. The NFPA material is much more expensive, and most manufacturers of HDPE have not passed this test. Suggest switching toilet partition material to Phenolic or Sierra Series which still only has to comply with ASTM-84. Call or email me with any questions. Mike 925-366-1966 Mike Edwards R.E.
