Buttecup, Lac Elan andHearth Properties
Magmatic Fe, Ti, V Deposits
• These deposits are associated with
anorthosite rocks where gravity
controlled magnetite-ilmenite dense
material accumulates in the form of
lenses and pods of irregular shape
and size.
• Mineralization and deposit type
depends on the percentage of Ti,
Fe and V (e.g. ferro-ilmenite, titano-
magnetite).
• Lac Elan and Buttercup massive
mineralization is typically around
20% TiO2 , 0.5% V 2 O5 , and 60%
Fe2 O3.

• Lac Elan Potential – Prospecting and Sampling
Two rounds of surface
sampling, trenching and
prospecting in 2009
produced consistent iron
and titanium analysis
with average 69.82%
Fe2 O3, 20.11% TiO2 and
0.55% V 2 O5 .
