Food Pantry Needs for Christmas Baskets We are asking for donations of items that would help make a special Christmas dinner for each of our fami- lies. We are especially in need of hams and tur- keys. Chickens, canned green beans & corn are NOT needed as the Pantry has a surplus. If you are donating any of the fresh items, please call the Parish Office, 508-885-3111 ext. 102, so they can keep a list of what will be coming in. Canned and dry goods may be deposited in the baskets at the church doors. Fresh produce as well as additional canned or dry goods may be brought to the Pantry during the week of December 9th. All turkeys and other frozen foods should be brought to the Panty on Saturday, December 14th before 9:30 am. Monthly Meal– December 11th 5:30pm-6:30pm The menu includes a variety of homemade soups, bread, dessert & beverage. A free will donaon helps to support this ministry. Jesse Tree: The Jesse Tree is named aſter Jesse, King David’s father. Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah would spring from the root, or family, of Jesse. God himself promised David that the Re- deemer would come from his family. That is why the Jesse Tree is somemes called the “family tree” of Jesus. With its ornaments, the Jesse Tree tells the story of God’s promise and its fulfillment. Each ornament is a symbol represenng a person, place, or event in the history of the Old Testament leading to the coming of the Messiah. Each day a new symbol is introduced on the MQR Facebook page and the ornaments will be on the Jesse Tree in our church.
