Youth News by: Tyler Germain

Over the past couple of weeks the youth group has been working on creating a fund raiser to help the people in the Coleman community. The fund raiser is called Sports for Stacks. The youth is selling shirts as part of the fund raiser. They are also doing fund raising through by talking donations for the various sports seasons.

1. Football for funds 2. Bumps for bills 3. Shots for shekels 4. Dingers for dough 5. Distance for dollars 6. Buckets for bucks 7. Concerts for cash

The money will be distributed to any family that needs it. The youth will be doing the different sports throughout the year so when it’s that sport you can donate the money.

While shopping for our Christmas family, both Jr/Sr High youth members were encouraged to do a random act of kindness. Each were given a dollar. The kids quickly realized that alone they could do some, but together they could do more and pooled their resources. The senior high pooled their resources and paid the bill for someone at the food court. The junior high youth also pooled their resources and bought candy canes that they distributed to shoppers throughout the mall. Both groups agreed it was a fun, worthwhile experience.
