1912Harry Houdini: I just came up with my newest escape. I have escaped from handcuffs, straight jackets, water-filled tanks and nailed packing crates. My new escape is called the Chinese Water Torture cell. During it I escape a locked glass cabinet filled with water while suspended upside-down by my feet. 1899Harry Houdini: I just started my tour in Europe. It seems like just the other day Martin Beck an entertainment manager saw my show and booked me shows at some of the best vaudeville venues.

June 21, 1893 Harry Houdini: Tomorrow me and Wilhelmina Beatrice Rahner are getting married. She is my stage assistant for my escaping acts. Her stage name is Bess Houdini and I call her Bess.

1894Harry Houdini: Today I am renaming myself Harry Houdini. I chose that name after the great magician Jean Eugène Robert-Houdin. I have now decided to become a professional Magician.

March 24, 1874Cecelia Weisz: Today I am a proud mother. Samuel and I have another child. I gave birth to my second child. His name is Eric Weiss. Right now we are living in Budapest Hungary.

1887Eric Weiss: I arrived in New York with my father Samuel one week ago. This is my second time moving. I lived in Budapest, Appleton and now New York. My new hobby/interest is trapeze arts.

October 31, 1926Bess Houdini: Today my husband Harry Houdini died. He was killed when a university student punched him in the gut and his appendix ruptured. He is going to try to send me a secret message so I will know it’s him.
