Diamond Intersecting Cylinders Boolean Dierence Center Point
Narrative
The project started out by taking a simple diamond
shape and then subtracting 3 orthogonally placedcylinders rom its center. The subtraction o the cyl-
inders breaks the diamond into our identical com-
ponents, these components are then rearranged to
orm the unit o my aggregation. The negative space
ormed rom the aggregation o the unit creates a
new diamond within the aggregation. The diamond
and cylinder shapes create sharp and rounded edges
coming together at points leaving traces o a Medi-
eval or Gothic aesthetic. I one were to multiply this
unto a building sized scale the best implementation
or it would be to act as a screen wall or shading and
shadow patterns.

Material Study
At the beginning o the semester my goal was to create an aggregated system that had inter change
able parts, using a rigid material to become exible. By creating a double skin the aggregation could
use one skin to act as a structural grid and the other overlaying skin to produce the orm or a change
spacial conditions by acting o a series o connection points along the single units spline.

Site Analysis
While looking at Peretz Square one cant help but notice the diversity o people walking through and around the site.
A variation o all sorts brought together momentarily by all sorts o dierent agendas, but or that moment connected
by events that are taking place around the site, weather it be by a daily commute shopping at American Apparel, or
attending dance lessons. The diagram I drew is a triangulated system to show the pedestrian density and movement
interrelated by connecting vectors. This then helps fnd critical points o access or the project.

Body Rhythm
Flamenco Movement Diagram
Flamenco Dancing is a sensual and passionate dance that consist o a series o elements working together to play a roll in the
dance as a whole. For example, while the guitar plays the dancer will provide the beat by tapping her eat in heated spurts o emo
tion, her body then moves and twirls while pulling at her dress. The dress then takes shape by the bodys movement.
The diagram drawn shows the body connecting with the rhythm o the music. These two elements are based o o a set o rigid
and precise decisions which is why they are drawn as straight lines. The dress on the other hand acts as a uid and takes its orm
rom how the body interact.
