Understand requirements for remotely accessing the library’s resources. Gain a basic understanding of managing and searching the research literature via PubMed using keyword and advanced strategies (MeSH). Establish a NCBI account (PubMed) to save and send updated search alerts. Learn about tools to help you identify experts and collaborators (Scopus and SciVal Experts), elements of citation analysis and productivity metrics (Scopus and Web of Knowledge), and explore the resources available at the library’s research portal. You will need to use 1 research article, and 1 review article from a peer reviewed journal. Building on what you have learned in PubMed, RefWorks, and refining your Research Question, your mini review will: Note the major achievements in the field. The main area of debate. And the outstanding research question. At the end of the session you will turn in your literature review. Which will be graded on a rubric on a pass/fail basis.
