FUN YOU CAN’T FORGET!

ACTIVITIES

• Archery The arrow makes the most wonderful sound when it hits its target! Channel your inner Robin Hood, or Katniss Everdeen!

• Riflery Come on our to our shooting range and test your skill with a 22!

• Canoeing Canoe do it?! This is a great way to take a full tour and see the whole lake!

• Barge Ride to Devil’s Island Journey to the Island via the barge and explore a bird’s eye view of PK Lake!

• Low Ropes/Team Building Work on your team building and problem solving abilities...and great creative with it!

• Hiking to Johnson’s Peak This 1.2 mile hike is considered one of the “Crown Jewels” in the world of CGS hiking!

• Horseback Riding Teach the young ones to ride, or take on the trails around camp’s 865 achres, either way, have a blast!

All activities will be led and supervised by our trained,certified,andtalentedstaff.Arrangeyourschedulewithourdirectorstobesureyoucanfitin all of the outdoor fun you can handle. OR don’t schedule any activity time! We will customize your timetofitYOURspecificgroupperfectly.

WHAT CAMP ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE:


RAY BEAN CAMP• Cabins

Each of the Ray Bean duplex-style cabins are equipped with central air and heat. There are 7 duplex cabins, making up 14 units, each cabin sleeping 12 (10 beds and 2 roll-a-ways). Cabins have a large bathroom facility including a shower.

• Retreat Center: Accomodates 32 (16 beds on each side with separate restroom facilities), has a full kitchen, separatemeetingroomwithfireplace,abeatufiul deck and a covered porch with ceiling fans.

• Lyne Activity Center (LAC)/Meeting Spaces: In addition to the dining hall, the LAC provides 2 meeting rooms. One room could easily seat 100 people auditorium style, or 80 people around tables. TheRayBeanChapel&campfiresiteareadditional outdoor meeting spaces.

MAIN CAMP• PathfinderCabins:

Our newest housing units, sleep 16, 7 bunk beds and 2 single beds (one side of a duplex). Each have a handicapped accessible bathroom and a large community bathroom with private toilets & showers.

• Indian Cabins: Our original Camp Grady Spruce cabins that have been recently renovated. Each has 8 bunk beds, sleeping 16 people (one side of a duplex). Outside eachcabinisafirecirclewithagrillandpicnictable.

• Main Activity Center (MAC)/Meeting Spaces: In addition to the dining hall, the MAC provides 2 meeting rooms, each able to seat 30 people auditorium style. The Oliver Chapel, Blackburn Chapel,BarryChapel,andcampfireareaposeas outdoor meeting venues.

DINING HALLS• Meal options are available to groups of 25 or

more and are served family style in our climate controlled dining halls at designated times.

• Breakfast - 8:00am, Lunch - 12:30pm Dinner - 6:00pm

• Food/Meal requests can be arranged between the group leader and our Camp Director.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Our Group and Family Camping Staff will help walk through each step with you to coordinate and plan your trip. Scheduling, activities, questions, cabin selection, just give us a call! Our Family & Group Camping Staff team is beyond great, and their goal is to make this as smooth of a planning process as possible! Contact them today:

• For groups of 25 or more, meals can be provided if you choose, or opted out of as long as you notify camp, in writing, either way no later than 7 days prior to arrival.

• All of our rates INCLUDE room, the use of most activites, and the assistance of Camp staff.

• Your time at camp can look like whatever you’dlike.Ifyouwanttofilleveryminutewithactivities and games, we’re happy to help! If you’re looking to spend some quiet time on the lake and not be bothered, we can make that happen too!

• Camp Grady Spruce is located 2 hours from the DFW Metroplex. We host churches, scout troops, educational and community groups, companies, school districts, families, and essentially any organization without regard to YMCA membership orreligiousaffiliation.

• Upon arrival at camp, the leader of your group should register with the Program Director on duty atthedesignatedcampoffice.FamiliescheckinattheRayBeanCampOfficeunlessotherwisestated. Check in is generally on Fridays at 5pm or later.

• Use of the waterfront should only happen under supervision of the YMCA Camp Grady Spruce Staff. No boating or swimming is allowed without the strict adherence to the Camp Waterfront Rules.These rules are posted by the swimming areas.

• There is no swimming, canoeing, or paddle boating without a YMCA Camp Grady Spruce Lifeguard on duty.

• Lifejackets MUST BE WORN by everyone in wa-ter activities outside of the swimming area. This includes the use of lifejackets while boating, canoeing, paddle boating or on the barge ride. We will provide you with lifejackets.

• Firesaretobebuiltintheprovidedfirerings.Afirebuiltoutsideofafireringisdangerousandpermanenetlyscarstheland.Nofiresareaallowedduringafireban.Wewillnotifyyouofafireban.

• Drive only on designated roads. DO NOT DRIVE PAST POSTS OR DRIVE IN FRONT OF CABINS OR TENTS. Off-road vehicles such as motorcycles or ATVs are not allowed at Camp.

• Please keep furnishings in the buildings and leave items the way you found them.

• Use of alcoholic beverages and illegal drugs is strictly prohibited on any YMCA property. The YMCA has a Zero Tolerance Policy. Use of tobacco products by anyone under the age of 18 is strictly prohibited.

• Smoking is NOT allowed IN any Camp building.

• Buildings and facilities not contracted by your group are “off limits.”

• Pleaseleaveyourpetsathome.Nofirearmsorfireworks(explosives)ofanykindareallowed.

• YMCA Camp Grady Spruce is not responsible for any items you leave behind.
