Family Literacy Night Kick-off
Activities Overview & Book Distribution
Summer Reading is Key!• If you don’t use it you lose it!
• If students do not read over the summer they actually lose their reading skills.
• The longer you go the worse it gets!• High school dropout rates increase
without summer reading opportunities.
• Together we can change this!• Children who received and read 12
books over the summer scored much higher in testing than those who did not
“ABC’s” of Summer Reading
Access: 12 books just for students and access to the renovated school library!
