IntroductionProviding efficient services that meet our clients’ budgetary needs as well as their outcome targets.
Family Resource Centre UK is a respected, trusted and established charity working for local authorities in the provision of outsourced services for over twenty years. We are leaders in the delivery of the Family Information Service and this prospectus showcases the quality and value for money services that we can provide for you.
Since 1990, we have worked with Local Authorities, businesses and other voluntary sector organisations to provide a variety of services. We have developed a very strong skill set and have proved ourselves to be both efficient and flexible. We are “user led” and as such we develop services to meet the needs of our clients and the children, young people and the families they serve.Using case studies, direct feedback, monthly reviewing and detailed data amongst other tools, we have developed
strong monitoring and evaluation processes to ensure our service provision is outcomes focused, impact driven and well evidenced.
The services we can provide include Family Information Service, Special Needs/LDD services, data collection, research, training, information sharing, multimedia development as well as the production of bespoke publications and tailored projects. Family Resource Centre UK is proud to have been awarded the specialist National Association of Family Information Service (NAFIS) Quality Award as well as the universally recognised Investors in People (IIP) Award. Market Research Family Resource Centre UK specialises in market research, surveying and consultation (consumer & business to business). We have extensive experience of implementing and managing quantitative and qualitative market research projects and consultation and needs analysis work within the children and young people’s sector, providing value for money. We have worked with a variety of clients including Local Authorities, Businesses, Children’s Centres and charities.

ResearchOur team are experienced across a range of research areas and techniques, including quantitative data analysis and qualitative group moderation.
We work with a team of trained business to business and consumer telephone interviewers as well as an experienced team of face to face interviewers based throughout the UK.
Survey Development and DeliveryOur experienced team will work with you on developing the right survey to ensure you get the results that you need. We can then provide teams for face to face and telephone survey delivery as well as manage postal and e-driven survey projects.
Consultation If you want to use consultation as a tool then our team can also manage your consultation project for you. We can provide consultation with families, businesses and all areas of the community.
We pride ourselves on our partnership working track record and any consultation work undertaken can be coordinated with other community groups. We can work with you from inception to completion and ensure your needs are fully met.
Focus GroupsFamily Resource Centre UK can plan and facilitate Focus Groups for you, helping you to plan the sessions. We can also analyse the feedback, providing you with tailored reports.

Family Resource Centre UK develops bespoke training programmes to meet your particular needs.
Recent training programmes include volunteer training, working with children with special needs, school governor training sessions and an Outreach training programme.
These bespoke training programmes are delivered by our experienced facilitators and are supported with well researched training workbooks, reinforcing the work and providing valuable post-training learning and information.

Are you looking for new ways to engage with families with children and young people with Special Needs
Family Resource Centre UK has been working with children and young people with special needs for over ten years.
We can develop bespoke services to meet your particular needs. These could include befriending projects, after school clubs, activity clubs, mentoring or information schemes.
Examples of recent work include:
DISCWe have developed DISC, the Disability Information Scheme, providing families with children who have special needs with vital information about services available to them locally, regionally and nationally. Our specialist information officers are also working in the community meeting families face-to-face and providing them with one-to-one support.

We work closely with other professionals and agencies to ensure we have the most accurate and up-to-date information. DISC is an effective way for schools and other organisations to keep families up to date with services available to them.
Go! Great OpportunitiesGo! is an inclusive service for all children and young people including those with special needs, providing one-off events focusing on leisure activities and learning for the child/young person, their family and friends. The service encourages growth and inclusion, helping to build the self confidence of the children and the young people involved. We are expanding this service into new areas. We take great pride in furthering the development of all of our staff and in affiliating ourselves where appropriate.
