Hoboken Historical Museum1301 Hudson St., noon – 5pmFounded in 1986, this historical treasure presents rotating exhibitions and activities related to the history, diverse culture, archi-tecture and historic landmarks of Hoboken. Admission $5, children – Free. After the museum, take a map from the museum and go on a self-guided walking tour.

Fire Department Museum213 Bloomfield, noon – 5pmThe museum is a treasure trove of fire gear and memorabilia documenting the evolution of tools and techniques used by Hoboken’s bravest in battling fires. Kids will enjoy the shiny red Ahrens Fox fire engine, circa 1932. Admission $3, children – Free.
