Feature: Camp Bob Through our giving to our provincial conference of MB churches, JRCC supports 5 amazing camps which are scattered around BC. These camps host and serve more than 5600 campers each summer, and thousands more of all ages, from all walks of life throughout the year. This morning, we will be hearing an update from Camp Bob on Vancouver Island. Men’s Service Project Save the Date Guys, instead of a men’s retreat this year, we’ll be heading up to Camp Bob for the weekend of June 3-5 to help open up the camp for the summer season. Join us for a rustic weekend of hard work! More details to come but get the weekend of June 3-5 blocked off in your calendars! What's Going On Around Here? There are copies at the Welcome Centre and a full report will be published in mid- February. 2015 Tax Receipts Thank you to all who gave generously to Jericho Ridge Community Church in 2015. Tax receipts are now available at the Welcome Centre. Receipts not picked up from the Welcome Centre by next Sunday, Feb 14 will be mailed. K@TR Office Help Do you love organizing, have basic computer skills, and have some free time mid-week? K@TR could use some help printing, hole punching, and filing lesson and roster sheets. Contact Ruth Ellen ( [email protected]) for info. Bake Sale for Guatemala Feb 14 JRCC is sending a team of 11 people to Guatemala this March 14-21. They will be distributing wheelchairs to the physically challenged, building two small homes, and distributing food, clothing, and supplies to needy families. Next Sunday, Feb 14, the team will be hosting a good old-fashioned bake sale, silent auction style! If you would like to supply some baking for the sale, please contact Tammy Smethurst ( [email protected]). We’re in the West Gym - Feb 14 Next Sunday, Feb 14 we'll be meeting in the West Gymnasium. You'll want to park in the north lot and come in via Gate 1 (the sliding doors). Children's programming will continue as per usual on the fourth floor. Newcomers Luncheon Feb 21 If you are new at Jericho, your next step might be to come out for our newcomers luncheon. We'll be hosting it at the Sumner's home on Sunday, Feb 21 after the morning gathering. Please register by e-mail ( [email protected]) and we'll send you directions. Please RSVP by Feb 14 if you would like to attend. Jericho Serves: House of Hope Feb 28 On Feb 28, we will be hosting our Sunday a.m. gathering at the House of Hope in South Langley (460 216 Street). We’ll begin our morning at 10:30 a.m. with worship in song, participate in various service projects around the property and finish with a potluck lunch with the residents at noon. Last names A-H please bring a plate of sandwiches or buns, last names I-R bring soup or stew and last names S-Z bring dessert or fruit. Everyone bring work clothes.
