For our ProWave range, it’s not about the glide – it’s about the ride. Pure surfing shapes designed for high-performance wave-riding, the ProWave collection is what Shortboard-

style SUP surfing is all about. The well-regarded shapes in 8´0˝, 8´5˝, 8´10˝ and 9´3˝ remain unchanged for 2014, while we added two new shapes – the 9´6˝, to accommodate larger

riders, and the 9´10˝ Semi Gun, offering the speed needed to catch truly giant surf.

The 9´6˝ retains the same shaping characteristics as the smaller boards in the line-up, but offering slightly more width and plenty more float at 153 liters of volume. The 9´10˝ Semi Gun is a slightly stretched version of the 9´9˝ Semi Gun, the first SUP to conquer the

monstrous surf of Shipstern’s Bluff in Tasmania.

Set up as a Quad or a Thruster (2+1) these SUPs feel more like real Shortboard Surfboards than anything else. But balanced volume distribution and flat decks help them paddle eas-ily and catch waves effortlessly. On the wave face, they make the most radical maneuvers

Simple surfing – that’s what the AllWave is built to do. The AllWave range comes in 5 sizes – 8´6˝ / 8´11˝ / 9´1˝ / 9´5˝ / 9´10˝. Easy, accessible and fun, the AllWave is called the »Big Boy’s« performance board, however will also take SUP boardsurfers on to their first waves and let them progress into larger surf. Plenty of V in the tail lets this ten-footer maneuver like a much smaller board. Set up the Fly for optimum performance in any water condition using the tri-fin cluster. Kids learn quick – and they need a board that keeps them entertained, interested and challenged at the same time.

The perfect base model for that was our proven AllWave shape – so we took it and tuned it up perfectly for your

groms. Sporty, special youth-friendly graphics and a High Resistance Skin to take all the abuse energetic kids throw

at it.

The size and width makes it stable enough for kids to learn on, but the rocker line is built for aggressive riding and hard turns. This stable but maneuverable board is

particularly suited for kids, whether they are paddling for pleasure on the lake or using the surf rocker line and nose

kick to shred mellow to large waves.

The Ripper is built in High Resistance Skin (HRS), and features our SoftTop deck with a foam-molded comfort-

adjusted scoop line, the Falcon Race is faster and more stable than ever before.

With a SUP race scene that’s experienced exponential world-wide growth over the last few years, Fanatic has concen-trated vast effort into tuning four new race shapes, as well as the two proven 30˝ shapes. Testing was conducted all over the world – from Australia, to Florida, to Maui, to ensure these boards work as well in choppy ocean swell as they do in

flat water. Special attention was made to ensure simple, easy foot steering in cross-wind and chop. The rails were designed with a unique goal in mind: to offer stability high on the rail, but reduce wetted surface at the bottom once paddling. The board truly lifts out of the water as you pick up speed, giving you that extra bit of glide to accelerate down the face, up

and over the front of the next wave.

The cutting bow has been eliminated, the nose outline was integrated into the new design and is quite a bit wider now. The new bow design ensures that the nose never catches or develops any self-steering. Added volume prevents the board

from pearling so it always stays above the water.

Fabled Aussie shaper Bruce McKee, now back home in Sydney after over 20 years in Europe, has teamed up with Fanatic to work on innovative Surfboard shapes and construction. McKee, also an active windsurfer, has shaped every-

thing from Catamarans to Waterskis, Longboards and Guns, not to mention every type of Shortboard. Bruce has supplied many shapers with his M4 Quattro Quad and M5 Multisystem concept systems. Bruce has crafted boards for many top pros of the WCT & WQS tours. He regularly shaped for Sunny Garcia and achieved success with riders such as Kaipo Jaquias, the iconic late Andy Irons, and a long list of past and present competitors. McKee has been a quad fin advocate since late 1981 and his performance board ›M5 Multisystem Formula‹ is even used by the world’s greatest-ever surfer. The name M5 was meant to represent the McKee five location positioning whereas the M4 was for a pure Quad or ›Quattro‹ – named after the famous high-traction Audi car model. With the McKee M5 Multisystem, this year’s McKee/Fanatic range offers a great expansion of the capabilities of your board and the potential of your surfing performance.

There has been a tendency for the latest competition shapes to go shorter and wider and with the refinement of bottom concaves, rockers and advanced rail shapes. These new designs are very stable without feeling wide. They make the average surfer feel like a pro. The Firefly contains a mid rocker with single to double concave bottom. For versatility, the new ›Firefly‹ uses the Quad / Thruster Multisystem.

This is a board that flies in the mush and small waves – a great board if that’s the only type of surf you have access to. The Diamond has volume and width to link dead sections with ease. The 9´1˝ Longboard has been fine tuned to give the board a lively response and added control when the surf gets more serious. This season’s 9´1˝ has the Longboard Fin Multisys-tem, developed long ago by McKee to solve Quad-fin cluster placement issues on Longboards. The Multisystem also allows the usual Tri-Fin and single fin combinations plus a variety of others.

Due to the success of the compact wave Diamond Tail model, we have included a couple of new sizes in the small wave section. These boards have a ›retro‹ type pinched rail that leaves a flatter, boxier deck shape. These boards are proportionally wider and thicker than the Compact Wave Dia-monds, giving even more lift and travel in the weakest waves. For versatility, the Diamond Tail uses the Quad /Thruster Multifin system.

Fine tuned on Queensland’s point-breaks such as Rain-bow Bay, Currumbin Alley and Burleigh Heads, this design will bring spark back to the surfer that finds their existing equipment was not in tune with what their current state of mind and body really need. This board flies onto waves early with its nose area; but also loves a fully buried rail turn after a late drop. For versatility, the ›Moonshine‹ uses the Quad / Thruster Multifin system.
