In order to a safely and effectively use this of this player, please read the following before usage.

1.3.1 Usage Cautions

User should not modify this player. The environmental temperature should be within +5℃ ~ +35℃.

1.3.2 Power

The player’s power voltage: DC 5V. When using this player, please connect the supplied AC adapter or AC adapter cable to the player’s power jack. When placing the adapter cable, make sure it can not get damaged or be subject to pressure. To reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug the adapter first before cleaning it. Never connect the adapter to the player in a humid or dusty area. Do not replace the adapter or cable’s wire or connector.

1.3.3 Radio Interference

- If not properly shielded, almost all electronic devices will get radio interference. Under some conditions, your player might get interference. - The design of this player has followed the FCC/CE standard and has followed the following rules:

(1) This player may not cause harmful interference; (2) This player could accept some interference received including interference that may

cause undesired operation.

1.3.4 Repair

If the player has a problem, you should take it to an appointed repair center and let the specialists do the repair, never repair the player yourself, you might damage the player or endanger yourself or your data.

1.3.5 Disposing of the Player

When you dispose of the player, be sure to dispose it appropriately. Some countries may regulate disposal of electrical devices. Please consult with your local authority.

1.3.6 Others

When using this player, please do not let the player come into contact with water or other liquids. If water is accidentally spilled on the player, please use a dry cloth to absorb the spillage. Electronic products are vulnerable, when using please avoid shaking or hitting the player and do not press the buttons too hard.

Do not let the player come into contact with water or other liquid. Do not disassemble the player, repair the player or change the design of the player, any

damage done will not be included in the repair policy. Do not press the buttons of the player too hard. Avoid hitting the player with hard object, avoid shaking the player and stay away from

magnetic fields. During electrostatic discharge and the strong electromagnetic field, the product will

malfunction, then unplug the power cable and the product will return to normal performance next time it is powered on.

1.4 Connection

1.4.1 Connecting the Power Supply

(1) Follow the picture and connect the AC adaptor to the player’s DC IN jack; (2) Follow the picture and plug in the AC adaptor to the power outlet.

1.4.2 Connecting a USB Device

(1) Make sure the player is powered on; (2) Plug in the USB stick or USB HDD etc. to the USB HOST port of this player.

In this way, you can browse contents on the USB device.

1.4.3 Connecting a Memory Card

Memory cards can be used by inserting to the card slot. (1) Follow the picture to insert the memory card into the card slot properly. (2) Insert the card by following the arrow pointer in the picture.

In this way, you can browse content on the memory card.

1.4.4 Connecting to a TV

1.4.4.1 A/V OUT

(1) Follow the picture and plug in the 3 color connector to the player’s A/V OUT jack; (2) Follow the picture and plug in the 3 color connector to the TV’s A/V IN jack. In this way, you can enjoy the media files on TV or other display devices.

1.4.4.2 Y/Pb/Pr Component OUT

(1) Follow the picture and plug in the 3 color connector to the player’s Y/Pb/Pr jack. (2) Follow the picture and plug in the 3 color connector to the TV’s Y/Pb/Pr jack. Note: Audio Connection while using Y/Pb/Pr Video out: First method: Use the audio output from the A/V OUT jack. Second method: Use the audio output from the S/PDIF Optical jack.

In this way, you can also enjoy HD videos, music and photos on TV. 1.4.4.3 HDMI OUT

(1) Follow the picture and plug one connector on your HDMI cable to the player’s HDMI jack. (2) Follow the picture and plug the other connector on your HDMI cable to the TV’s HDMI jack.

In this way, you can have the highest quality video and audio via a single cable.

1.4.5 Connecting to a Digital Amplifier

(1) Follow the picture and plug in the RCA connector on your coaxial cable to the player’s S/PDIF Coaxial jack. Or if you use optical fiber, please plug in the Toslink connector on your optical fiber to the player’s S/PDIF Optical jack. (2) Follow the picture and plug in the other connector on your coaxial cable or optical fiber to the digital audio device (digital amplifier or decoder).

In this way, you can enjoy powerful Dolby Digital or MPEG sound. (Please refer to ‘3.1 Changing Audio Settings’ for configuration) 1.4.6 Connecting to LAN

To connect to a LAN (Local Area Network) you require a cat5, cat5e or cat6 network cable. (1) Connect one of the crystal plugs on the cable to the player’s RJ45 LAN socket. (2) Connect the other crystal plug on the cable to a RJ45 LAN port on your router, switch or hub devices.

1.4.7 Connecting to a WLAN

(1) Make sure the player is powered on. (2) Plug the Wireless LAN USB Adapter (i.e. Wi-Fi USB Dongle) to the USB HOST port of the player. Note: The Wi-Fi Dongle is an optional accessory sold separately. (Please refer to ‘3.3 Changing Network Settings’ for more details about wireless setup).

1.5 Power On / Off Power On

After connecting the DC IN jack and press the power button on the front panel, the player will soon enter the home screen and the power indicator will turn blue.

Power Off

Press the power button on the front panel, the player will soon enter standby mode and the power indicator will turn red. 1.6 Menu Language The system language of this player can be set to English or other languages. Change the language you wish in the setup menu, the selected language will take effect immediately.

3. Setup Menu The Setup menu allows you to personalize and configure the preferences for your player. To select a Setup option:

- Select the Setup icon on the home screen or press the SETUP button on the remote control.

- Use the LEFT/RIGHT navigational buttons to select an option and then press ENTER. There are five Setup options, including Audio, Video, Network, System and MISC. Use the UP/DOWN navigational buttons to select a menu. Press ENTER to confirm. Press RETURN to cancel and display the previous menu screen. 3.1 Changing Audio Settings Use this menu to configure audio settings.

Night Mode

- Choose between Off / On / Comfort. If the option is turned on, the audio output volume will be decreased to make you more comfortable.

Digital Output

- Choose between HDMI LPCM / HDMI RAW / SPDIF LPCM / SPDIF RAW. In raw mode, Dolby Digital or MPEG sound can be bypassed to the HDMI TV or Digital amplifier.

3.2 Changing Video Settings Use this menu to configure video settings.

Aspect Ratio

- Pan Scan 4:3: Display a wide picture on the entire screen and cuts off the redundant portions. Select when a standard 4:3 TV is connected.

- Letter Box 4:3: Display a wide picture with two black borders on the top and bottom of 4:3 screen. Select when a standard 4:3 TV is connected.

- 16:9: Compress the image to convert the whole image. Select when a 16:9 TV is connected.

Brightness

- Adjust the level of brightness.

Contrast

- Adjust the level of contrast.

TV SYSTEM

- Select to adjust video output resolution: NTSC / PAL / 480P / 576P / 720P 50HZ / 720P 60HZ / 1080I 50HZ / 1080I 60HZ / 1080P 50HZ / 1080P 60HZ.

3.3 Changing Network Settings Use this menu to configure Ethernet and WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) settings.

Wired LAN Setup

- DHCP IP (AUTO)

Select to obtain IP address automatically.

- FIX IP (MANUAL)

Select to manually input the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS Server IP Address.

Wireless Setup

- Selecting a connection profile

This player can store up to three wireless network connections. Press ENTER to go to next step, press RETURN to cancel and press PLAY to connect.

- Get Connection Mode

Choose between Infrastructure (AP) and Peer to Peer (Ad Hoc). Press ENTER to go to next step and press RETURN to cancel.

- Infrastructure (AP) Infrastructure mode is used to connect computers with wireless network adapters, also known as wireless clients to an existing wired network with the help from wireless router or access point.

Get SSID Name

Press ENTER to go to next step, press RETURN to cancel and press SELECT to refresh the SSID list.

Note: In the Security list, WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) and WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) means the network is encrypted, i.e. an encryption key is needed to access the network. NONE means it is an open system network.

Input WEP / WPA Key

Encryption keys can be inputted via the virtual keyboard. Press the navigational buttons to select, ENTER to input, CAPS to switch between uppercase and lowercase, <- to delete a character, -> to insert a space, shift to make more symbols available and OK to confirm.

Test connection

The testing process will take for a while, please be patient to wait. If the test is ok, the network information (Profile Name, IP address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, etc.) will be displayed on the screen.

- Peer to Peer (Ad Hoc) Peer to Peer mode, which is also called Ad Hoc mode or computer-to-computer mode, is used to connect wireless clients directly together, without the need for a wireless router or access point.

Press ENTER to go to next step, press RETURN to cancel and press PLAY to connect. 3.4 Changing System Settings Use this menu to configure system settings.

Menu Language

- Select to choose the OSD (On-Screen Display) language. You can choose between English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch and Russian.

Text Encoding

- Select to set the text encoding option (subtitle display). You can choose between Unicode (UTF8), Western, Turkey, Central European, Greek, Cyrillic, Hebrw and SE European (Southern and Eastern European).

System Update

- Select to update the firmware via a USB stick. 1) Copy ‘install.img’ to the root directory of a USB stick and connect it to the USB HOST

port of the player. 2) Select ‘System Upgrade’ or ‘System Reinstall’ and press ENTER to confirm.

System Info

- Select to view system information (firmware version, boot loader version, Mac address, etc.)

Restore Default

- Select to restore factory defaults.

3.5 Miscellaneous Use this menu to adjust miscellaneous settings.

Resume Play

- Select to turn on / off resume playback (auto-bookmarking) feature for movies.

Slide Show Timing

- Select to set the interval time for photo slide show.

Transition Effect

- Select to set the transition effect for photo slide show.

Background Music

- Select to set the background music options while view pictures: Off / Folder / Playlist.

Screen Saver

- Select to turn on / off screen saver.

Movie Preview

- Select to turn on / off movie preview in the browser menu.

4. Browser Menu The browser menu allows you to browse and play media files stored on USB devices, Memory cards, Network shares, UPnP-server and Playlist. To enter the menu, select the Browser icon on the home screen, or press the BROWSER button on the remote control.

The following buttons can be used while navigating the browser menu.

Button Function UP / DOWN Move cursor up / down to select devices, folders, or files.

LEFT / RIGHT Select filter options: All, Music, Photos and Movies. PREV / NEXT Go to previous / next page.

ENTER Enter or confirm the selected item. SELECT Select files under Browser -> USB menu.

CONFIRM Add the selected files to the playlist. RETURN Return to the previous menu.

4.1 Browsing All In this mode, all folders and supported content (music, photos and movies) will be displayed.

Note: • Please refer to chapter ‘9.1 Specifications‘ for more about the supported content formats. • Muisc tracks might not be able to played continously under All filter, please switch to the

Music filter instead.

You can view photos in slide show mode with background music. When it is enabled, the slide show starts automatically once you press PLAY button. (Please refer to Slide Show Timing, Transition Effect and Background Music in chapter ‘3.5 Miscellaneous’ for more details)

4.4 Browsing Movies In this mode, all folders and supported video files in current directory will be displayed.

The following buttons can be used to control video playback.

GOTO Display playback search menu. A-B Set the beginning and end points of a section to repeat.

ANGLE Change the view angle during DVD (with multi-angle) playback. MENU Return to the root menu during DVD playback.

INS REPLAY Backward 10 seconds of the current playback CM SKIP Advance 30 seconds of the current playback. AUDIO Select an audio track while watching BivX video or DVD with

multiple audio tracks. SUBTITLE Set subtitle options.

STOP Stop playback.

4.5 Audio / Video Streaming via Network You can stream the media files shared on the home network (Ethernet or WLAN). Please refer to ’3.3 Changing Network Settings’ for details about network settings. There are two ways to locate media files shared on your local network in the Network menu. One is to browse through workgroup; the other way is to browse through ‘My_Shortcuts’.

4.5.1 Browsing through Workgroup

You can choose the workgroup which your PC belongs to from the workgroup list. Select your PC name and press the ENTER button to confirm. Then you can select and play the shared media files that you want to browse.

Note: • While browsing high definition video files (resolution up to 720p / 1080i / 1080p) via

Ethernet or WLAN, the video might be buffering. It is normal due to the limit of network speed or signal strength.

• Due to different network conditions, sometimes the workgroup might not be accessed or shown in the list. And then you need to use ‘My_Shortcuts’ to browse shared files.

4.5.2 Browsing through ‘My_Shortcuts You can also set ‘Specific File Server IP’ of destination PC and access it from ‘My_Shortcuts’ in the menu.

- Press the MENU button and a popup menu appears.

- Select Add to open a popup menu where you can input: Net User ID (User name), Net Password and Specific File Server IP. Under detailed setting you can add Label, Domain and Host Name. Select OK to confirm, Cancel to cancel and Simple / Detail to switch between simple and advanced options.

- Select the shortcut you added and press the ENTER button to confirm. Then you can select and play the shared media files on the destination computer.

4.6 Audio Video Streaming via UPnP-server A built-in UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) client has been integrated on the system, which enables the player to auto-detect UPnP Media Servers on the network to browse and stream media files from them.

4.6.1 Installing UPnP Media Server on your PC

There’re a lot of free and commercial UPnP Media Server software, such as Windows Media Connect, Windows Media Player 11, XBMC Media Center (Linux/Mac/Windows), MediaTomb (Linux), etc. Please install one of them on you computer. In the following chapters, we will take Windows Media Player 11 on Microsoft Windows XP SP2 for an example.

4.6.2 Sharing Media on your PC

The Media Sharing feature of Windows Media Player 11 lets you enjoy the contents of your Windows Media Player library from anywhere in your home.

- Open Windows Media Player 11, click Library -> Add Library -> Advanced Options to add or remove media files from the library.

- Click Library -> Media Sharing, then you can allow or deny devices to access the media library. Click Allow to authorize your player.

4.6.3 Streaming Media on your Player

- Connect your FANTEC TV-FHDS to the home network (LAN or WLAN).

- Visit Browser - > UPnP menu on the player, select the UPnP-server and press ENTER.

- Then you can browse the media library shared by Windows Media Player 11.

Note: • Make sure your player and your computer are on the same local area network and subnet. • Firewalls may prevent your player communicating with your computer. Please open the

ports manually and add your player to the ‘trusted’ list, or disable the firewall temporarily.

• 4.7 Renaming / Deleting Files When navigating in the browser menu, you can press the MENU button to activate a popup menu where you can rename and delete files or folders.

Press the UP / DOWN buttons to select from Return, Rename and Delete. And press ENTER to confirm. Note: This option is available for USB, Card, Network (delete only). 4.8 Managing the Playlist The FANTEC TV-FHDS supports the playlist function, which allows you to add your favorite content on USB devices to the playlists (All, Music, Photos and Movies) and enjoy them at any time.

4.8.1 Adding files to the playlist

Select the favorite file you wish to add, press the SELECT button and the file will be ticked. Press the CONFIRM button to confirm and then an on-screen message ‘Add selects to list’ will be shown. Multiple selections are allowed. See photo below.

4.8.2 Browsing the playlist

Press the UP / DOWN buttons to select Play List in the browser menu. Press the LEFT / RIGHT buttons to select between All, Music, Photos and Movies. And press the ENTER button to confirm. Then you will enter the playlist.

If you wish to delete a file from the playlist, press the SELECT button to select and then press the CONFIRM button to confirm.

5. File Copy Menu Select the File Copy icon from the home screen to enter the File Copy menu, which allows you to copy files between USB devices, Card and Network.

The following buttons can be used under the file copy menu.

Button Function UP / DOWN Move cursor up / down to select devices, folders

RIGHT Go to the next step. SELECT Select (or cancel) folders or files (The selected items will be

ticked). STOP Cancel all selections.

ENTER Confirm the selected options. RETURN Leave Copy function.

Please refer to the following operations to copy / move folders / files between devices.

- Step 1: Select the source device and destination device.

- Step 2: Select the source files you want to copy.

- Step 3: Select the destination folder to store the above files.

6. Internet Radio The FANTEC TV-FHDS integrates the SHOUTcast free Internet radio function. Select the Internet Radio icon on the main interface to enter this menu.

please refer to ‘3.3 Changing Network Settings’ for more details; • When you enter the Internet Radio menu at the first time, it will take several seconds to

- You can search for stations by genre (pop, rock, jazz, etc.) under this menu.

7. Upgrading the Firmware The firmware is the operating system (OS) installed on the device. Firmware upgrades can bring new features, improvements and bug fixes. Please refer to System Update in chapter ‘3.4 Changing System Settings’ for more details. You can also use the following method to upgrade the firmware:

- Copy ‘install.img’ to the root directory of a USB key.

- Plug the USB key to the USB HOST port on the player.

- Press and hold the POWER button on the front panel and connect the player with power supply

- Wait for more than 3 seconds and then loose your finger on the POWER button.

Then the upgrade process will start automatically. The LED indicator on the front panel will be enlightened and flashing during installation. If it is connected to a TV set, an install page will appear on the TV screen.

8.2 Frequently Asked Questions Question. I find new file names and folder names that I never created before or they have strange gibberish names. Answer: Most likely, the hard disk’s file allocation table (FAT) has been corrupted. This might be due to the PC’s shutting down while reading or writing to your hard disk by the USB connection. Please open “chkdsk” to scan your hard disk. Windows and Macintosh often write extra files to the hard disk such as “finder.def” or “System volume info”. This is normal and will not do any harm to the player. Question. During power on, why does the TV will have a short flashing, blue screen or screensaver? Answer: This is normal, when the system initializes, it will setup the corresponding parameters so it can output the correct video signal to the TV, during the initializing time, the TV will receive incorrect signals or the signals will not be stable and will cause the TV screen to flash, some TV’s will treat this as no signal and will display a blue screen or screensaver. Question. Why is there no sound on movie or music playback when using Y/Pb/Pr component output? Answer: Y/Pb/Pr output is a video output only and does not include sound signals. When using Y/Pb/Pr output, please plug the A/V OUT or the S/PDIF jack to output sound. Question. I cannot get SSID name, the screen always displays: ‘Can’t get any SSID!!’ Answer: When the WLAN USB Adapter is connected to the player, it needs some time to get initialized. Please wait for about 1~2 minutes and try refreshing the SSID list again. Question. I cannot see files shared on my computer via Browser->Network menu. Answer:

Please check following items:

1) Connect the player to network and obtain an IP address first;

2) Please enable NetBIOS of TCP/IP on computer;

3) Please check your PC’s firewall settings;

4) Please enable your PC’s ‘Guest’ account;

5) Please share the folders which you wish to browse on your PC and make sure that ‘Everyone’ or ‘Guest’ has the right to access.

Question. I configured everything correctly, but still cannot get the wireless network or UPnP function to work. Answer:

Are you using a firewall such as Norton Internet Security, McAfee Personal Firewall, Zone Alarm, etc. or even the built-in firewall of Windows XP? (Don’t forget that Service Pack 2 for Windows XP automatically upgrades your firewall and turn it on by default) If you have a firewall, it may need to be configured or have exceptions created to allow you to see and communicate with the player on the network. To test if your firewall is preventing network communication (including PING and access shared folders), try disabling it to see if you can connect. If you can connect with the firewall disabled, you may need to add the player to the ‘Trusted’ list or configure the firewall for local intranet access. Worst-case, disable your firewall long enough to use the player, then enable it again when done. Question. I am using the 802.11n Wi-Fi dongle with an 802.11n wireless router, why the speed is still 802.11g 54Mbps rather than 300Mbps? Answer: The IEEE 802.11n Draft standard prohibits using high throughput with WEP or TKIP as the unicast cipher. If you use these encryption methods (e.g. WEP, WPA-TKIP), your data rate will drop to 54 Mbps. You may contact the Access Point or router manufacturer to download the latest firmware, or try other encryption methods (WPA2-AES or WPA2-TKIP), or choose to configure an unsecured profile, but this option is not recommended. 8.3 Copyrights and Trademarks Copyrights All rights reserved. 1.3.4 Reparatur Wenn es ein Problem mit dem Player geben sollte, sollten Sie es zu einer zertifizierten Reparaturwerkstatt bringen und Speziallisten die Reparatur durchführen lassen. Sie könnten den Player beschädigen und sich selbst und ihre Daten gefährden. 1.3.5 Entsorgung des Players Wenn Sie sich von ihrem Player trennen wollen, stellen Sie bitte sicher das Gerät ordnungsgemäß zu entsorgen. In einigen Ländern gelten Verordnungen für die Entsorgung elektrischer Geräte. Bitte beachten Sie die lokale Gesetzgebung. 1.3.6 Hinweise zur Festplatte Der Player setzt zur Datenspeicherung eine interne Festplatte ein. Normalerweise ist keine Formatierung oder Reparatur der Festplatte notwendig. (Außer bei erster Inbetriebnahme) Sie sollten das FAQ Kapitel aufmerksam lesen oder unsere Webseite besuchen, bevor Sie die Festplatte formatieren. - Ein physischer Aufprall kann Sektoren auf der Festplatte beschädigen. Sie können das Programm „CHKDSK“ benutzen, um dieses Problem zu beheben. - Alle Daten können durch einen physischen Aufprall, einen Stromschlag, einen Stromausfall oder durch ein Formatieren der Festplatte verloren gehen. Bitte sichern Sie deshalb ihre Daten. - Es wird empfohlen die Festplatte nach einer längeren Benutzung zu defragmentieren. - Führen Sie regelmäßig eine Datensicherung durch, so dass Sie ihre Daten nach einem Datenverlust zurücksichern können. Wir übernehmen keine Haftung für die Daten, die sich auf der Festplatte befinden. 1.3.7 Weiteres Wenn Sie den Player benutzen, lassen Sie ihn nicht mit Wasser oder anderen Flüssigkeiten in Berührung kommen. Wenn aus Versehen doch einmal Wasser an den Player spritzen sollte, benutzen Sie bitte ein trockenes Tuch um die Spritzer aufzunehmen. Elektronische Geräte sind empfindlich. Vermeiden Sie Erschütterungen und Stöße besonders wenn das Gerät in Betrieb ist und drücken Sie die Knöpfe nicht mit Gewalt.

Lassen Sie den Player nicht mit Wasser oder anderen Flüssigkeiten in Kontakt kommen. Bauen Sie die Festplatte nicht aus dem Player aus, versuchen Sie nicht ihn zu reparieren

oder verändern das Design des Players. Sollte der Player dabei beschädigt werden, verlieren Sie Ihren Garantieanspruch.

Drücken Sie die Tasten des Players nicht mit Gewalt. Vermeiden Sie Erschütterungen und Stöße, besonders wenn das Gerät in Betrieb ist und halten Sie das Gerät von magnetischen Feldern fern.

Während statischer Entladungen und in starken magnetischen Feldern, wird das Gerät nicht ordnungsgemäß funktionieren. Trennen Sie dann das Gerät für einige Zeit vom Stromnetz und versuchen Sie es danach erneut in Betrieb zunehmen.

1.4.5 Anschluss an einen digitalen Verstärker

(1) Schließen Sie den RCA-Stecker Ihres Koaxialkabels anhand der Abbildung an die koaxiale S/PDIF Buchse des Players an. Wenn Sie einen Glasfaserleiter verwenden, schließen Sie den Toslink-Stecker des Glasfaserleiters an die optische S/PDIF Buchse des Players an. (2) Schließen Sie den anderen Stecker des Koaxialkabels oder Glasfaserleiters wie in der Abbildung an das digitale Audiogerät (digitaler Verstärker oder Dekodierer) an. Hinweis: Der Glasfaserleiter und das Koaxialkabel sind nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten.

3. Setup-Menü

Über das Setup-Menü können Sie die Einstellungen Ihres Players personalisieren und konfigurieren. Auswahl einer Setup-Option:

- Wählen Sie in der Hauptseite das Icon Setup, oder drücken Sie auf der Fernbedienung die Taste SETUP.

- Wählen Sie mit den Pfeiltasten LINKS/RECHTS eine Option aus; bestätigen Sie mit

ENTER. Das Setup-Menü bietet fünf Optionen, einschließlich Audio, Video, Netzwerk, System, und VERSCHIEDENES. Wählen Sie mit den Pfeiltasten HOCH/RUNTER ein Menü aus. Bildseitenformat

- Pan Scan 4:3: Das Breitbildfernsehen wird über die gesamte Höhe des Bildschirms angezeigt. Da nicht das komplette Bild auf den Fernseher passt, werden die Seitenränder ausgeblendet. Wählen Sie dieses Format, wenn Sie einen 4:3 Fernseher angeschlossen haben.

- Letter Box 4:3: Das Breitbildfernsehen wird über die gesamte Breite des Bildschirms angezeigt. Da das Bild nicht den kompletten Bildschirm ausfüllt, wird am unteren und oberen Bildrand das Bild mit einem schwarzen Balken aufgefüllt. Wählen Sie dieses Format, wenn Sie einen 4:3 Fernseher angeschlossen haben.

- 16:9: Komprimiert das Bild, um das gesamte Bild zu konvertieren. Bei Anschluss eines 16:9 Fernsehgeräts auswählen.

Helligkeit

- Die Helligkeitseinstellungen ändern.

Kontrast

- Die Kontrasteinstellungen ändern.

TV-SYSTEM

Sie benötigen einen Netzwerkschlüssel, um auf das Netzwerk zugreifen zu können. KEINE bedeutet, dass es sich um ein offenes Netzwerk handelt.

Mit den Navigationstasten nehmen Sie eine Auswahl vor, mit der Taste ENTER nehmen Sie Eingaben vor, mit der Taste CAPS wechseln Sie zwischen Groß- und Kleinschreibung, mit <- können Sie Zeichen löschen, mit -> ein Leerzeichen einfügen, mit Shift weitere Symbole verfügbar machen, und mit OK Einstellungen bestätigen.

Testverbindung

Der Testvorgang wird einige Zeit in Anspruch nehmen. Bei erfolgreichem Test werden die Netzwerkinformationen (Profilname, IP-Adress, Subnet-Maske, Gateway, etc.) auf dem Bildschirm angezeigt.

- Peer-to-Peer (Ad Hoc) m Peer-to-Peer Modus, oder auch Ad-hoc oder Computer-to-Computer Modus genannt, werden WLAN-Clients ohne Router oder Access-Point direkt miteinander verbunden.

4.4 Filme durchsuchen In diesem Modus werden alle Ordner und unterstützten Videodateien im aktuellen Verzeichnis angezeigt.

Mit den folgenden Tasten können Sie die Videowiedergabe steuern.

4.5 Audio / Video Netzwerk-Streaming Sie können Media-Dateien, die auf dem Heimnetzwerk (LAN oder WLAN) gemeinsam genutzt werden, streamen. Nähere Informationen zu den Netzwerkeinstellungen finden Sie unter ’3.3 Netzwerkeinstellungen ändern’. Im Netzwerk-Menü können Sie anhand von zwei Methoden Media-Dateien, die auf dem lokalen Netzwerk gemeinsam genutzt werden, zugreifen. Entweder durchsuchen Sie die Arbeitsgruppe oder ‘My_Shortcuts’.

4.5.1 Arbeitsgruppe durchsuchen

Sie können die Arbeitsgruppe, zu der Ihr PC gehört, in der Arbeitsgruppenliste suchen. Wenn Sie Ihren PC gefunden haben, bestätigen Sie mit der Taste ENTER. Danach können Sie die gemeinsam genutzten Dateien, die Sie durchsuchen möchten, auswählen und abspielen.

Hinweis: • Bei der Suche nach hochauflösenden Videodateien (Auflösung bis zu 720p / 1080i / 1080p)

per Ethernet oder WLAN werden die Videos aufgrund der eingeschränkten Netzwerkgeschwindigkeit möglicherweise zwischengespeichert.

• Aufgrund unterschiedlicher Netzwerkbedingungen wird die Arbeitsgruppe manchmal nicht zugänglich sein oder in der Liste angezeigt. In solch einem Fall müssen Sie über das Menü ‘My_Shortcuts’ nach gemeinsamen Dateien suchen.

4.5.2 ‘My_Shortcuts durchsuchen Sie können auch die ‘Spezifische Dateiserver-IP’ festlegen und über das Menü ‘My_Shortcuts’ zugreifen.

- Drücken Sie die Taste MENÜ; ein Pop-up Fenster wird geöffnet.

- Wählen Sie Hinzufügen, um ein Pop-up Menü öffnen, in dem Sie Benutzername, Passwort, Domain, Host-Name und Spezifische Dateiserver-IP des Zielcomputers eingeben können. Bestätigen Sie mit OK oder beenden Sie mit Cancel; wählen Sie Einfach/Detail, um zwischen einfachen und erweiterten Einstellungen zu wechseln.

- Wählen Sie den hinzugefügten Shortcut und bestätigen Sie mit der Taste ENTER. Anschließend können Sie die gemeinsam genutzten Media-Dateien auf dem Zielcomputer anhören.

4.6 A/V Streaming per UPnP-Server In dieses System wurde ein UPnP (Universal Plug & Play) Client integriert, welcher es dem Player ermöglicht, UPnP Mediaserver automatisch im Netzwerk zu finden, um von ihnen Media-Dateien zu suchen und abzuspielen.

4.6.1 UPnP Mediaserver auf Ihrem PC installieren

Es gibt eine Vielzahl kostenloser und gewerblicher Mediaserver-Software, z.B. Windows Media Connect, Windows Media Player 11, XBMC Media Center (Linux/Mac/Windows), MediaTomb (Linux). Bitte installieren Sie einen dieser Server auf Ihrem PC. Nachfolgenden wird die Einrichtung Windows Media Player 11 auf Microsoft Windows XP beschrieben.

4.6.2 Gemeinsamer Zugriff auf Media-Dateien Ihres PCs

Mit der Funktion des gemeinsamen Datenzugriffs von Windows Media Player 11 können Sie überall in Ihrem Haus auf die Dateien der Windows Media Player Bibliothek zugreifen.

- Klicken Sie auf Bibliothek -> Bibliothek hinzufügen -> Erweiterte Einstellungen, um Media-Dateien in die Bibliothek hinzuzufügen oder zu löschen.

- Klicken Sie Bibliothek -> Media-Sharing; Sie können dann Geräten den Zugang zur

Mediabibliothek erlauben oder verweigern. Klicken Sie Zulassen, um Ihren Player zu autorisieren.

4.6.3 Media auf Ihrem Player streamen

- Schließen Sie Ihren FANTEC TV-FHDS an das Heimnetzwerk (LAN oder WLAN) an.

- Öffnen Sie in Ihrem Player das Menü Browser - > UpnP, um den UpnP-Server auszuwählen; bestätigen Sie mit ENTER.

- Sie können nun die von Windows Media Player 11 gemeinsam genutzte Mediabibliothek durchsuchen.

Hinweis: • Vergewissern Sie sich, dass Ihr Player und Ihr Computer mit dem gleichen lokalen

Netzwerk und Subnetz verbunden sind. • Firewalls können Ihren Player eventuell daran hindern, mit Ihrem PC zu kommunizieren.

Öffnen Sie die Anschlüsse manuell und fügen Sie Ihren Player zur ‘zuverlässigen’ Liste hinzu, oder deaktivieren Sie vorübergehend Firewall.

4.7 Dateien umbenennen/löschen Wenn Sie im Browser-Menü navigieren, können Sie durch Drücken von MENÜ ein Pop-up Menü öffnen, in dem Sie Dateien oder Ordner umbenennen oder löschen können.

Wählen Sie mit den Pfeiltasten HOCH/RUNTER die Einstellungen Zurück, Umbenennen oder Löschen. Bestätigen Sie mit ENTER. Hinweis: Diese Option ist verfügbar für USB, Karte und Netzwerk (nur ´Löschen´). 4.8 Wiedergabeliste verwalten Der FANTEC TV-FHDS unterstützt eine Wiedergabeliste; Sie können Ihre Lieblingsdateien (Alle, Musik, Bilder und Filme) auf USB-Geräten zur Wiedergabeliste hinzufügen und jederzeit abspielen.

4.8.1 Dateien zur Wiedergabeliste hinzufügen

Wählen Sie die Datei, die Sie hinzufügen möchten, aus, drücken Sie SELECT; die Datei wird markiert. Bestätigen Sie mit CONFIRM; auf dem Bildschirm erscheint die Nachricht ‘Auswahl zur Liste hinzugefügt’. Die Auswahl mehrerer Dateien ist möglich. Siehe nachfolgende Abbildung.

4.8.2 Wiedergabeliste durchsuchen

Wählen Sie im Browser-Menü mit den Tasten HOCH/RUNTER die Wiedergabeliste. Wählen Sie mit den Tasten LINKS/RECHTS zwischen den Einstellungen Alle, Musik, Bilder und Filme. Bestätigen Sie mit ENTER. Die Wiedergabeliste wird geöffnet.

Wenn Sie eine Datei in der Wiedergabeliste löschen möchten, drücken Sie SELECT und bestätigen Sie mit CONFIRM.

5. Kopier-Menü Wählen Sie in der Hauptseite das Icon Kopieren oder die Taste COPY auf der Fernbedienung, um das Menü Kopieren zu öffnen, über welches Sie Dateien zwischen USB-Geräten, SD-Karte und dem Netzwerk kopieren können.

Mit den folgenden Tasten können Sie durch das Kopieren-Menü navigieren.

Taste Funktion HOCH/RUNTER Cursor bewegen, um Geräte oder Ordner auszuwählen.

RECHTS Zum nächsten Schritt gehen. SELECT Ordner oder Dateien auswählen (oder beenden) (Ausgewählte

Optionen werden mit Häkchen markiert). STOP Gesamte Auswahl abbrechen.

ENTER Ausgewählte Einstellungen bestätigen. HOCH/RUNTER Kopieren-Menü verlassen.

Befolgen Sie bitte diese Vorgehensweise, um Ordner/Dateien zwischen Geräten zu kopieren/verschieben.

- Schritt 1: Wählen Sie das Ausgangsgerät und das Zielgerät.

- Schritt 2: Wählen Sie die Ursprungsdateien, die Sie kopieren möchten.

- Schritt 3: Wählen Sie den Zielordner, in dem die obigen Dateien gespeichert werden sollen.

- Schritt 4: Wählen Sie Kopieren oder Verschieben.

7. Aktualisierung der Firmware Die Firmware ist das auf dem Gerät installierte Betriebssystem (OS). Aktualisierungen der Firmware können neue Funktionen und Verbesserungen bringen und Programmfehler beheben. Nähere Informationen finden Sie unter System aktualisieren im Kapitel ‘3.4 Systemeinstellungen ändern’. Sie können Ihre Firmware wie folgt aktualisieren:

- Kopieren Sie die Datei ‘install.img’ in das Hauptverzeichnis eines USB-Sticks;

- Stecken Sie den USB-Stick an den USB HOST Anschluss des Players an;

- Halten Sie die BETRIEBSTASTE an der Frontplatte gedrückt und schließen Sie den Player mit Stromversorgung an;

- Warten Sie länger als 3 Sekunden, und nehmen Sie dann Ihren Finger von der BETRIEBSTASTE.

Der Aktualisierungsprozess beginnt automatisch. Die LED-Anzeige an der Frontplatte leuchtet und blinkt während der Installation. Wenn das Gerät an einen Fernseher angeschlossen ist, wird auf dem Fernsehbildschirm ein Installationsfenster geöffnet.

8.2 Häufig gestellte Fragen Frage: Ich finde neue Dateien auf meiner USB Festplatte, die ich nicht dort hinkopiert habe oder Dateien mit seltsam kyrptischen Dateinamen. Antwort: In diesem Fall wurde meistens die Dateizuordnungstabelle (FAT) beschädigt. Dies kann passieren, wenn Sie die USB-Verbindung trennen oder ihren PC ausschalten, während noch Daten auf ihrer Festplatte geschrieben werden. Bitte überprüfen Sie in diesem Fall die Festplatte, in dem Sie „chkdsk“ ausführen. Auch können durch Windows- und Macintosh-Betriebssysteme Dateien, wie z.B. “finder.def” oder „system volume info“ auf die Festplatte geschrieben werden. Dies ist normal und wird ihren Player nicht beeinflussen. Frage: Während der Player hochgefahren wird, erscheint auf dem Fernseher ein kurzes Flackern, ein Blue Screen oder der Bildschirmschoner. Antwort: Dies ist normal, während sich das System initialisiert. Es stellt sich in dieser Zeit auf die Parameter ihres Fernsehers ein, um ein korrektes Signal auszugeben. Dies kann dazu führen, dass ihr Fernseher falsche oder unstabile Signale empfängt, was zu einem Aufflackern führen kann. Einige Fernseher werden dies als nicht anliegendes Signal behandeln und einen Blue Screen oder Bildschirmschoner anzeigen. Frage: Warum wird kein Ton ausgegeben, wenn ich das Gerät über Y/Pb/Pr angeschlossen habe? Antwort: Der Y/Pb/Pr-Ausgang kann nur Video-Signale übertragen. Wenn Sie den Y/Pb/Pr-Ausgang verwenden, benutzen Sie bitte den A/V- (Rot / Weis) oder den S/PDIF-Audioausgang, um Tonsignale zu übertragen. Frage: Es wird mir keine SSID angezeigt. Ich erhalte immer nur die Meldung: „Can´t get any SSID!!”’ Antwort: Wenn der USB-WLan-Adapter an den Player angeschlossen wird, dauert es einige Zeit, bis dieser vollständig initialisiert wurde. Bitte warten Sie 1-2 min und versuchen Sie dann noch einmal die Liste zu aktualisieren. Frage: Ich kann über das Netzwerk-Menü im Browser meine freigegebenen Dateien nicht finden. Antwort:

Bitte überprüfen Sie folgendes:

1) Schließen Sie den Player an das Netzwerk an und vergeben Sie eine IP-Adresse im selben Subnetz, wie ihr PC (z.B. IP-Adresse des PC´S = 192.168.0.1, dann können Sie dem Player eine IP-Adressen im Bereich von 192.168.10.2-254 geben

2) Aktivieren Sie das NetBios im TCP/IP-Protkol ihrer Netzwerkkarte.

3) Überprüfen Sie die Einstellungen ihrer Firewall auf ihrem PC.

4) Aktivieren Sie das Gast-Benutzerkonto auf ihrem PC

5) Bitte geben Sie die Ordner frei, in denen sich die Dateien befinden, die Sie auf dem Player abspielen wollen. Stellen Sie sicher, dass „jeder“ oder „gast“ Zugriff auf diese Freigaben haben.

Frage: Ich habe alles richtig eingestellt, ich kann aber immer noch nicht auf meine Daten zugreifen.. Antwort: Benutzen Sie eine Firewall wie Norton Internet Security, McAfee Personal Firewall, Zone Alarm, etc. oder die integrierte Windows Firewall? (Achtung: Ab Windows XP SP2 ist die integrierte Firewall automatisch eingeschaltet) Wenn Sie eine Firewall haben, müssen Sie diese konfigurieren und Ausnahmen einfügen, um vom Netzwerk aus auf den PC zugreifen zu können. Um zu testen, ob ihre Firewall den Netzwerkverkehr wirklich einschränkt, schalten Sie die Firewall vorübergehend ab. Wenn Sie nun auf den Player zugreifen können, müssen Sie die Firewall durch Aufnehmen des Players in die Liste der vertrauenswürdigen Geräten hinzufügen oder die Ports freigeben. Im schlimmsten Fall müssen Sie die Firewall so lange deaktivieren, wie Sie mit dem Player auf ihren PC zugreifen wollen. Frage: Ich benutze einen IEEE 802.11n WLAN-Stick und einen IEEE 802.11n WLAN-Router, aber ich erreichen trotzdem nur eine Bandbreite von 54Mbit/s anstelle von 300 Mbit/s. Antwort: Der 802.11n Funknetzwerk-Standard arbeit nicht mit der WEP- oder TKIP Unicast-Verschlüsselung zusammen. Wenn Sie diese Verschlüsselungen verwenden (z.B.. WEP, WPA-TKIP), wird ihre Bandbreite auf maximal 54 Mbit/s beschränkt. Laden Sie wenn nötig neue Firmware für ihren Access-Point oder Router herunter und verwenden Sie eine andere Verschlüsselungsmethode, wie z.B. Pour assurer une utilisation sûre et efficace nous vous invitons à lire les pages suivantes avant toute utilisation.

1.3.1 Précautions d’Usage

L’utilisateur ne doit pas modifier l’appareil. La température environnementale en fonctionnement doit osciller entre +5℃ ~ +35℃.

1.3.2 Alimentation

Le voltage de l’appareil est de: 5V DC. Quand le lecteur est en fonctionnement veuillez connecter le câble ou l’adaptateur électrique fournit à la prise DC IN du lecteur. Lors du branchement, assurez-vous qu’il ne puisse être abimé ou sujet à des pressions. Afin de réduire le risque de chocs électriques, débrancher l’adaptateur électrique avent de le nettoyer. Ne branchez jamais l’adaptateur électrique au lecteur dans un environnement humide ou poussiéreux. Ne jamais remplacer l’adaptateur, ni le câble ou connecteur.

1.3.3 Interférence Radio

- Sans une protection appropriée, Presque tous les appareils électroniques subissent des interférences radio. Dans certaines conditions, votre lecteur peut subir des interférences. - La conception de cet appareil s’est conformé à la règlementation standard FCC/CE, et aux règles suivantes :

(1) Ce lecteur ne causera pas d’interférences dommageables; (2) Ce lecteur peut supporter de recevoir certaines interférences y compris celles qui

peuvent déclencher une opération non désirées.

1.3.4 Réparation

Si le lecteur a un problème, vous devez l’amener a un centre de réparation ou les spécialistes régleront le problème, n’essayez jamais de réparer le lecteur vous-même, vous pourriez alors endommager celui-ci, ou vos données ou vous mettre vous même en danger.

1.3.5 Utilisation du Lecteur

Quand vous utilisez le lecteur, assurez-vous de le faire de façon appropriée. Certains pays ont des règlementations pour les appareils électriques, pensez à vous y conformer ou à consulter l’autorité locale.

1.3.6 Autres

Lors de l’utilisation du lecteur éviter tout contact de l’appareil avec de l’eau ou tout autre liquide, Si de l’eau se déverse accidentellement sur le lecteur, utiliser un chiffon sec pour absorber le liquide. Les appareils électroniques sont vulnérables, lors de l’utilisation évitez de secouer ou de frapper le lecteur, et presser les boutons avec précaution.

Ne pas mettre le lecteur en contact avec de l’eau ou tout autre liquide. Ne pas démonter le lecteur, le réparer ou en modifier la conception, tout dommage alors

causé ne serait pas inclus dans la garantie. Utiliser les boutons avec précaution. Eviter de frapper le lecteur avec un objet dur, éviter de secouer le lecteur, et garder

l’appareil éloigné des champs magnétiques. En cas de décharge électrostatique et de champ électromagnétique l’appareil peut mal

fonctionner débrancher le câble d’alimentation. Lors de son prochain allumage l’appareil retournera à son fonctionnement normal.

1.4 Branchements

1.4.1 Branchement électrique

(1) Procédez comme sur l'illustration et branchez l'adaptateur secteur sur la prise DC-IN du lecteur ; (2) Procédez comme sur l'illustration et branchez l'adaptateur secteur sur la prise secteur.

1.4.2 Connexion d'un périphérique USB

(1) Vérifiez que le lecteur est sous tension. (2) Branchez la clé USB, le disque dur USB etc. sur le port HÔTE USB de ce lecteur.

Vous pouvez ainsi parcourir le contenu du périphérique USB.

1.4.3 Connexion d'une carte mémoire

Vous pouvez utiliser une carte mémoire en l'insérant dans la fente de lecture pour carte. (1) Procédez comme sur l'illustration pour insérer correctement la carte mémoire dans la fente pour cartes. (2) Insérez la carte dans le sens de la flèche sur l'illustration.

Vous pouvez ainsi parcourir le contenu de la carte mémoire.

1.4.2 Connexion sur un téléviseur

1.4.4.1 SORTIE A/V

(1) Procédez comme sur l'illustration et branchez la prise tricolore sur la prise A/V OUT du lecteur. (2) Procédez comme sur l'illustration et branchez la prise tricolore sur la prise A/V IN du téléviseur. Vous pouvez ainsi profiter des fichiers média sur votre téléviseur ou sur tout autre écran.

1.4.4.2 Sortie composant Y/Pb/Pr

(1) Procédez comme sur l'illustration et branchez la prise tricolore sur la prise Y/Pb/Pr du lecteur. (2) Procédez comme sur l'illustration et branchez la prise tricolore sur la prise Y/Pb/Pr du téléviseur. Remarque : Connexion audio en utilisant une sortie vidéo Y/Pb/Pr : Première méthode : utilisez la sortie audio de la prise A/V OUT. Deuxième méthode : utilisez la sortie audio de la prise optique S/PDIF.

Vous pouvez ainsi profiter de vidéos HD, musique et photos sur votre téléviseur. 1.4.4.3 SORTIE HDMI

(1) Procédez comme sur l'illustration et branchez l'un des connecteurs de votre câble HDMI sur la prise HDMI du lecteur. (2) Procédez comme sur l'illustration et branchez l'autre connecteur de votre câble HDMI sur la prise HDMI du téléviseur.

Vous pouvez ainsi profiter d'une qualité vidéo et audio optimale grâce à un câble unique.

1.4.5 Connexion d'un amplificateur numérique

(1) Procédez comme sur l'illustration et branchez la prise RCA de votre câble coaxial sur la prise coaxiale S/PDIF de votre lecteur. Si vous utilisez une fibre optique, branchez le connecteur Toslink de votre fibre optique sur la prise optique S/PDIF du lecteur. (2) Procédez comme sur l'illustration et branchez l'autre connecteur de votre câble coaxial ou fibre optique sur le périphérique audio numérique (amplificateur ou décodeur numérique).

Vous pouvez ainsi profiter de la puissance du son Dolby Digital ou MPEG. (Pour la configuration, veuillez consulter la section ‘3.1 Modification des réglages audio’) 1.4.6 Connexion à un réseau local (LAN)

Pour pouvoir effectuer un branchement sur un LAN (réseau local), il vous faut un câble réseau cat5, cat5e ou cat6. (1) Branchez l'une des prises cristal du câble sur la prise LAN RJ45 du lecteur. (2) Branchez l'autre prise cristal du câble sur le port LAN RJ45 de votre routeur, commutateur ou hub.

1.4.7 Connexion sur un réseau local sans fil (WLAN)

(1) Vérifiez que le lecteur est sous tension. (2) Branchez l'adaptateur LAN USB sans fil (c'est-à-dire le dongle USB Wi-Fi) sur le port HÔTE USB du lecteur. Remarque : Le dongle Wi-Fi est un accessoire facultatif vendu séparément. (Pour plus de renseignements sur la

configuration sans fil, veuillez consulter la section ‘3.3 Modification des réglages réseau’).

1.5 Marche / Arrêt Mise en marche :

Après avoir branché la prise DC IN et appuyé sur la touche de mise en marche de la façade, le lecteur ne tardera pas à afficher l'écran d'accueil et le voyant marche/arrêt deviendra bleu.

Arrêt

Appuyez sur la touche marche/arrêt de la façade, le lecteur ne tardera pas à se mettre en mode veille, et le voyant marche/arrêt deviendra rouge. 1.6 Langue du menu Vous pouvez choisir la langue du menu de ce lecteur : anglais ou autres. En sélectionnant la langue de votre choix dans le menu de configuration, la langue du menu changera immédiatement.

3. Menu de configuration Le menu de configuration vous permet de personnaliser votre lecteur et de configurer vos préférences. Pour sélectionner une option de configuration :

- Sélectionnez l'icone Configuration sur l'écran d'accueil, ou appuyez sur la touche SETUP de la télécommande.

- Utilisez les touches de navigation LEFT/RIGHT pour sélectionner une option, et appuyez

sur ENTER. Il y a cinq options de configuration, y compris Audio, Vidéo, Réseau, Système et Divers. Utilisez les touches de navigation UP/DOWN pour sélectionner un menu. Appuyez sur ENTER pour confirmer. Appuyez sur RETURN pour annuler et revenir au menu précédent. 3.1 Modification des réglages audio Ce menu permet de configurer les réglages audio.

Mode nocturne - Vous avez le choix entre Désactivé / Activé / Confort. Si cette option est activée, le

volume de sortie audio sera baissé pour une écoute plus confortable.

Sortie numérique

- Vous avez le choix entre HDMI LPCM / HDMI RAW / SPDIF LPCM / SPDIF RAW. En mode raw, le son Dolby Digital ou MPEG pour être redirigé vers le téléviseur HDMI ou l'amplificateur numérique.

3.2 Modification des réglages vidéo Ce menu permet de configurer les réglages vidéo.

Rapport d'aspect

- Pan Scan 4:3 : Affiche une image large sur la totalité de l'écran et coupe les portions redondantes. Sélectionnez cette option lorsqu'un téléviseur standard 4:3 est branché.

- Letter Box 4:3 : Affiche une image large avec deux bordures noires dans le haut et dans le bas d'un écran 4:3. Sélectionnez cette option lorsqu'un téléviseur standard 4:3 est branché.

- 16:9: Compresse l'image pour convertir la totalité de l'image. Sélectionnez cette option lorsqu'un téléviseur 16:9 est branché.

Luminosité

- Pour ajuster le niveau de luminosité.

Contraste

- Pour ajuster le niveau de contraste.

SYSTEME TELE

- Sélectionnez cette option pour régler la résolution de sortie vidéo : NTSC / PAL / 480P / 576P / 720P 50HZ / 720P 60HZ / 1080I 50HZ / 1080I 60HZ / 1080P 50HZ / 1080P 60HZ.

3.3 Modification des réglages réseau Ce menu permet de configurer les réglages Ethernet et WLAN (réseau local sans fil).

Configuration LAN avec câble

- IP DHCP (AUTO)

Sélectionnez cette option pour obtenir automatiquement l'adresse IP. - FIX ¨IP (MANUEL)

Sélectionnez cette option pour saisir manuellement l'adresse IP, le masque sous-réseau, la passerelle par défaut, et l'adresse IP du serveur DNS.

Configuration sans fil

- Sélection d'un profil de connexion

Ce lecteur peut enregistrer jusqu'à trois connexions réseau sans fil. Appuyez sur ENTER pour passer à l'étape suivante, sur RETURN pour annuler, et sur PLAY pour connecter.

- Mode de connexion

Vous avez le choix entre Infrastructure (AP) et Point à Point (Ad Hoc). Appuyez sur ENTER pour passer à l'étape suivante, ou sur RETURN pour annuler.

- Infrastructure (AP) Le mode Infrastructure permet de relier des ordinateurs disposant d'adaptateurs réseau sans fil, ou clients sans fil, à un réseau câblé existant à l'aide d'un routeur sans fil ou d'un point d'accès. Obtention de l'identifiant réseau (SSID)

Appuyez sur ENTER pour passer à l'étape suivante, appuyez sur RETURN pour annuler, et sur SELECT pour rafraichir la liste SSID.

Remarque : Dans la liste Sécurité, WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) et WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) signifie que le réseau est crypté : une clé de chiffrement est nécessaire pour pouvoir accéder au réseau. NONE (aucun) signifie que c'est un réseau en système ouvert.

Saisie de la clé WEP / WPA

Vous pouvez saisir des clés de chiffrement sur le clavier virtuel. Appuyez sur les touches de navigation pour sélectionner, sur ENTER pour la saisie, sur CAPS pour permuter entre majuscules et minuscules, sur <- pour effacer un caractère, sur -> pour insérer un espace, sur shift pour obtenir des symboles supplémentaires et sur OK pour confirmer.

Test de connexion

Le processus de test prend du temps, soyez patient. Si le test est positif, les informations concernant le réseau (nom de profil, adresse IP, masque sous-réseau, passerelle, etc.) seront affichées sur l'écran.

- Point à Point (Ad Hoc) Le mode Point à Point, également nommé mode Ad Hoc ou mode poste à poste, permet de relier directement entre eux plusieurs clients sans fil, sans avoir à passer par un routeur sans fil ou un point d'accès.

3.4 Modification des réglages du système Ce menu permet de configurer les réglages du système.

Langue du menu :

- Permet de sélectionner la langue de l'OSD (affichage à l'écran). Vous avez le choix entre anglais, espagnol, français, allemand, italien, néerlandais et russe.

Cryptage texte

- Permet de configurer l'option de cryptage texte (affichage des sous-titres). Vous avez le choix entre Unicode (UTF8), Occident, Turquie, Europe Centrale, Grec, Cyrillique, Hébreu et Europe du sud-est.

Mise à jour du système

- Sélectionnez cette option pour mettre à jour le progiciel à l'aide d'une clé USB. 1) Copiez install.img? sur le répertoire racine d'une clé USB, et branchez-la sur le port

HÔTE USB du lecteur. 2) Sélectionnez ‘Mise à jour du système’ ou ‘Réinstallation du système’ et appuyez sur

ENTER pour confirmer.

- Sélectionnez cette option pour visionner les informations sur le système (version du logiciel, du chargeur de démarrage, adresse Mac, etc.)

- Sélectionnez cette option pour activer /désactiver l'écran de veille.

Aperçu du film

- Sélectionnez cette option pour activer / désactiver l'aperçu du film à partir du menu de navigation.

4. Menu de navigation Le menu de navigation vous permet de naviguer et de lire des fichiers média enregistrés sur des périphériques USB, des cartes mémoires, un réseau, un serveur UPnP, et une liste d'écoute. Pour accéder au menu, sélectionnez l'icône Navigateur sur l'écran d'accueil, ou appuyez sur la touche Navigateur de la télécommande.

Dans le menu de navigation, les touches suivantes peuvent être utilisées

Touche Fonction UP / DOWN Pour déplacer le curseur vers le haut / vers le bas afin de

sélectionner des périphériques, répertoires ou fichiers. LEFT / RIGHT Pour sélectionner les options de filtre : Tous, Musique, Photos, et

4.5 Flux Audio / Vidéo sur réseau Vous pouvez faire passer les fichiers média mis en partage sur le réseau domestique (Ethernet ou WLAN). (Pour plus de renseignements sur la configuration réseau, veuillez consulter la section ‘3.3 Modification des réglages réseau’) A partir du menu Réseau, vous pouvez rechercher les fichiers média partagés sur votre réseau de deux manières. La première consiste à parcourir le Groupe de travail ; la deuxième consiste à parcourir ‘Mes_raccourcis’.

4.5.1 Parcourir le Groupe de travail

Vous pouvez choisir le groupe de travail auquel votre ordinateur appartient à partir de la liste des groupes de travail. Sélectionnez le nom de votre ordinateur et appuyez sur la touche ENTER pour confirmer. Vous pouvez ensuite sélectionner et faire passer les fichiers médias partagés que vous souhaitez voir.

Remarque : • Si vous visionnez des fichiers vidéo haute définition (résolution jusqu'à 720p / 1080i /

1080p) par Ethernet ou WLAN, il est possible que la vidéo bufférise. Ceci est normal en raison des limitations de la vitesse du réseau ou de la force du signal.

• Selon les conditions du réseau, il est possible qu'un groupe de travail ne soit pas accessible ou ne soit pas affiché sur la liste. Vous devrez alors utiliser ‘Mes_raccourcis’ pour visionner les fichiers partagés.

4.5.2 Parcourir par ‘Mes_raccourcis’ Vous pouvez également définir un ’IP serveur fichiers précis’ du PC de destination et y accéder à partir de ‘Mes_raccourcis’ dans le menu. - Appuyez sur la touche MENU pour qu'un menu contextuel apparaisse.

- Sélectionnez Ajouter pour ouvrir un menu contextuel dans lequel vous pourrez saisir les informations suivantes : Identifiant utilisateur net (Identifiant), Mot de passe internet et IP serveur fichier précis. Sous la configuration détaillée, vous pouvez ajoutez Nom, Domaine et Nom d'hôte. Sélectionnez OK pour confirmer, Annuler pour annuler, et Simple / Détaillé pour permuter entre options simples et avancées.

- Sélectionnez le raccourci que vous avez ajouté et appuyez sur la touche ENTER pour confirmer. Vous pouvez ensuite sélectionner et faire passer les fichiers média partagés sur l'ordinateur de destination.

4.6 Flux audio vidéo via Serveur UPnP Un client UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) est intégré au système, ce qui permet au lecteur de détecter automatiquement les serveurs média UPnP du réseau pour pouvoir rechercher et retransmettre les fichiers média à partir de ces serveurs.

4.6.1 Installation d'un serveur média UPnP sur votre PC

Il existe de nombreux logiciels, gratuits ou non, de serveur média UPnP, tels que Windows Media Connect, Windows Media Player 11, XBMC Media Center (Linux/Mac/Windows), MediaTomb (Linux), etc. Veuillez installer l'un de ces logiciels sur votre ordinateur. Dans les chapitres suivants, nous prendrons Windows Media Player 11 sur Microsoft Windows XP SP2 comme exemple.

4.6.2¨ Partage de média sur votre PC

L'option de partage de média de Windows Media Player 11 vous permet de profiter du contenu de votre bibliothèque Windows Media Player partout dans la maison.

- Ouvrez Windows Media Player 11, cliquez sur Bibliothèque -> Ajout Bibliothèque -> Options Avancées pour ajouter ou enlever des fichiers de la bibliothèque.

- Cliquez sur Bibliothèque -> Partage Média, vous pouvez alors autoriser ou interdire l'accès par d'autres périphériques à la bibliothèque media. Cliquez sur Autoriser pour autoriser votre lecteur.

4.6.3 Transmission média sur votre lecteur

- Reliez le FANTEC TV-FHDS à votre réseau domestique (LAN ou WLAN).

- Aller sur le menu Navigateur - > UPnP du lecteur, sélectionnez le serveur UPnP, et appuyez sur ENTER.

- Vous pouvez alors parcourir la bibliothèque média partagée par Windows Media Player 11.

Remarque : • Vérifiez que votre lecteur et votre ordinateur sont sur le même réseau local et sur le même

sous-réseau. • Les pare-feux peuvent empêcher la communication entre le lecteur et votre ordinateur.

Veuillez ouvrir les ports manuellement et ajouter votre lecteur ? la liste des clients autorisés, ou désactivez le pare-feu de manière temporaire.

• 4.7 Renommer / Effacer des fichiers Lorsque vous êtes dans le menu de navigation, vous pouvez appuyer sur la touche MENU pour activer un menu contextuel à partir duquel vous pouvez renommer et effacer des fichiers ou des répertoires.

Appuyez sur les touches UP / DOWN pour sélectionner Retour, Renommer, ou Effacer. Appuyez sur ENTER pour confirmer. Remarque : Cette option fonctionne sur USB, carte et réseau (effacer uniquement). 4.8 Gestion de la liste d'écoute Le FANTEC TV-FHDS prend en charge la fonction de liste d'écoute, ce qui vous permet d'ajouter aux listes d'écoute (Tous, Musique, Photos et Films) vos éléments préférés sur les périphériques USB, pour que vous puissiez en profiter à tout moment.

4.8.1 Ajout de fichiers sur la liste d'écoute

Sélectionnez parmi vos préférences le fichier que vous souhaitez ajouter, et appuyez sur la touche SELECT pour que le fichier soit annoté. Appuyez ensuite sur la touche CONFIRM pour confirmer. Le message ‘Add selects to list’ (ajout de la sélection à la liste) s'affichera alors à l'écran. Les sélections multiples sont permises. Voir photo ci-dessous.

4.8.2 Parcourir la liste d'écoute

Appuyez sur les touches UP / DOWN pour sélectionner Liste d'écoute dans le menu de

navigation. Appuyez sur les touches LEFT / RIGHT pour sélectionner Tout, Musique, Photos ou Films. Appuyez sur ENTER pour confirmer. Vous pourrez alors accéder à la liste d'écoute.

Si vous souhaitez effacer un fichier d'une liste d'écoute, appuyez sur la touche SELECT pour sélectionner, puis appuyez sur la touche CONFIRM pour confirmer.

5. Menu de copie de fichiers Sélectionnez l’icône Copie de fichiers sur l’écran d’accueil pour accéder au menu Copie de fichiers pour pouvoir copier des fichiers entre périphériques USB, carte et réseau.

Sous le menu de copie de fichiers, vous pouvez utiliser les touches suivantes.

Touche Fonction UP / DOWN Déplacez le curseur vers le haut / vers le bas pour sélectionner

des périphériques, répertoires. RIGHT Pour passer à l'étape suivante.

SELECT Pour sélectionner des répertoires ou fichiers (ou annuler la sélection). Les éléments sélectionnés seront cochés.

STOP Pour annuler toutes les sélections. ENTER Pour confirmer les options sélectionnées.

RETURN Pour quitter la fonction Copie. Veuillez suivre les opérations suivantes pour copier /déplacer des répertoires / fichiers d'un périphérique à un autre.

- Etape 1 : Sélectionnez le périphérique source et le périphérique de destination.

- Etape 2 : Sélectionnez les fichiers source que vous souhaitez copier.

- Etape 3 : Sélectionnez le répertoire de destination dans lequel vous souhaitez enregistrer les fichiers sélectionnés.

- Etape 4 : Sélectionnez Copier ou Déplacer pour exécuter.

6. Radio internet Le FANTEC TV-FHDS dispose de la fonction radio internet gratuite SHOUTcast. Sélectionnez l'icone Radio Internet sur l'interface principale pour accéder à ce menu.

Remarque : • Vérifiez que le lecteur est correctement relié à un réseau local ou réseau local sans fil

avec accès internet. Pour plus de renseignements, veuillez consulter la section ‘3.3 Modification des réglages réseau’.

• Lorsque vous accédez au menu de radio numérique pour la première fois, le téléchargement des données à partir d'internet prendra quelques secondes : soyez patient.

• Pour en savoir plus sur SHOUTcast, vous pouvez consulter le site internet : www.shoutcast.com

Sous ce menu, vous pouvez utiliser les touches suivantes.

7. Mise à jour du logiciel Le progiciel est le système d'exploitation installé sur l'appareil. Les mises à jour de logiciel permettent l'ajout de nouvelles fonctionnalités, des améliorations et des résolutions de bogues. Pour plus de renseignements, veuillez consulter la section Mise à jour du système du chapitre ‘3.4 Modification des réglages du système’. Vous pouvez également utiliser la méthode ci-dessous pour mettre le logiciel à jour :

- Copiez install.img’ sur le répertoire racine d'une clé USB.

- Branchez la clé USB sur le port HÔTE USB du lecteur.

- Maintenez l'interrupteur du tableau de commande enfoncée et mettez le lecteur sous tension.

- Patientez au moins 3 secondes avant de relâcher l'interrupteur.

Le processus de mise à jour démarrera alors automatiquement. Le voyant DEL sur la façade sera allumé et clignotera durant l'installation. Si le lecteur est relié à un téléviseur, une page d'installation sera affichée sur l'écran du téléviseur.

8.2 Questions fréquentes Question : Je trouve des nouveaux noms de fichier ou de répertoire que je n'ai jamais créé auparavant, ou alors leurs noms sont étranges. Réponse : Il est probable que la table d'allocation fichier (FAT) du lecteur soit corrompue. Cela peut être du à l'arrêt de l'ordinateur durant un processus de lecture ou d'écriture sur votre disque dur par connexion USB. Windows et Macintosh écrivent souvent des fichiers supplémentaires sur le disque dur tel que finder.def ou info volume système. Ceci est normal et n'endommagera pas votre lecteur. Question : Lorsque l'appareil est allumé, pourquoi le téléviseur affiche-t-il un écran scintillant, un écran bleu, ou un écran de veille ? Réponse : Ceci est normal. Lorsque le système est en mode d'initialisation, il configure les paramètres correspondants pour qu'il puisse émettre le bon signal vidéo vers le téléviseur. Durant la période d'initialisation, le téléviseur reçoit des mauvais signaux ou des signaux instables, ce qui amène l'écran du téléviseur à scintiller. Certains téléviseurs traitent ce signal comme une absence de signal et affichent un écran bleu ou un écran de veille. Question : Pourquoi n'y a-t-il pas de son sur la lecture d'un film ou d'un morceau musical lorsque la sortie composant Y/Pb/Pr est utilisée ? Réponse : La sortie Y/Pb/Pr est une sortie vidéo uniquement et ne comprend de signal audio. Si vous utilisez la sortie Y/Pb/Pr, veuillez également brancher la SORTIE A/V ou la prise S/PDIF pour obtenir du son. Question : Je n'arrive pas à obtenir mon identifiant réseau, l'écran affiche en permanence : "Aucun identifiant réseau détecté !!" Réponse : Lorsque l'adaptateur WLAN USB est relié au lecteur, il lui faut un certain temps d'initialisation. Patientez une ou deux minutes avant de rafraichir à nouveau la liste SSID. Question : Je ne vois pas les fichiers partagés sur mon ordinateur en utilisant le menu Navigateur->Réseau Réponse :

Veuillez vérifier les éléments suivants :

1) Reliez le lecteur au réseau et commencez par obtenir une adresse IP.

2) Activez le NetBIOS de TCP/IP sur l'ordinateur.

3) Vérifiez les réglages du pare-feu de votre ordinateur.

4) Activez le compte Invité sur votre PC.

5) Veuillez partager les répertoires que vous souhaitez rechercher sur votre PC, et assurez-vous que le droit d'accès est autorisé pour Tous’ ou ‘Invité’.

Question : Après avoir tout configuré correctement, je n'arrive toujours pas à établir la connexion réseau sans fil ou la fonction UPnP. Réponse : Utilisez-vous un pare-feu tel que Norton Internet Security, McAfee Personal Firewall, Zone Alarm, etc. voire même le pare-feu intégré de Windows XP ? (N'oubliez pas que le Service Pack 2 pour Windows XP effectue une mise à jour automatique de votre pare-feu et le met en marche par défaut) Si vous utilisez un pare-feu, vous aurez peut-être à le configurer ou à créer des exceptions pour que vous puissiez voir le lecteur et communiquer avec lui sur le réseau. Pour vérifier si votre pare-feu empêche la communication réseau (y compris PING et l'accès aux fichiers partagés), essayez de le désactiver pour voir si vous pouvez vous connecter. Si la connexion marche lorsque le pare-feu est désactivé, vous devrez peut-être ajouter le lecteur à la liste d'éléments acceptés ou de configurer le pare-feu pour autoriser un accès intranet local. Dans le pire des cas, désactivez votre pare-feu durant le temps d'utilisation du lecteur, puis remettez-le en marche lorsque vous avez terminé. Question : J'utilise un dongle Wi-Fi 802.11n avec un routeur sans fil 802.11n. Pourquoi la vitesse reste-t-elle à 802.11g 54Mbps au lieu de 300Mbps ? Réponse : La norme IEEE 802.11n n'autorise pas de haut débit avec un cryptage unicast WEP ou TKIP. Si vous utilisez ces méthodes de cryptage (par ex. WEP, WPQ-TKIP), le débit retombera à 54 Mbps. Vous pouvez contacter le fabricant du routeur ou Access Point pour pouvoir télécharger la dernière version du logiciel, ou essayer d'autres méthodes de cryptage (WPA2-AES ou WPA2-TKIP), ou bien choisir de configurer un profil non-sécurisé, mais cette option n'est pas conseillée. Question : Mes fichiers ont disparus du lecteur. Réponse: Vérifiez que vous recherchez vos fichiers en utilisant un mode de navigation adapté, c’est-à-dire que le filtre approprié tel que Photos Musique ou Flims correspond à votre recherche. Question : Lorsque je permute sur Y/Pb/Pr 480p, 576p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p, pourquoi l’écran du téléviseur affiche-t-il une image non regardable ? Réponse: Vérifiez que votre téléviseur prend bien en charge les sorties Y/Pb/Pr 480p, 576p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p. Si ce n’est pas le cas, veuillez sélectionner l’affichage du signal A/V. Appuyez sur la touche TV SYSYEM de la télécommande, puis modifiez l’entrée vidéo du téléviseur en sélectionnant NTSC or PAL.
