Farewell speech

Amy is going to make a farewell speech at the graduation ceremony.

Dear Principal, teachers, parents and fellow schoolmates,

When we first came to Smart Primary School, we were very nervous. We thought we would rather stay at kindergarten with our old friends. Then, we started making new friends and learning new things. We’ve had a wonderful time here. We want to thank many people.

First, we would like to thank our class teacher, Miss Ma, for being kind and patient. Thank you for teaching us how to solve problems.

Second, we would like to thank Miss Hall for teaching us English. Our English and our self-confidence have improved a lot.

We’ll never forget our drama performance, ‘The Wizard of Lion Island’. Preparing our own costumes was the greatest thing I’ve ever done.

Now it’s time to leave this school. Many of us would ratherstay here. We’ll go to different schools soon but we’ll alwaysbe friends.

Finally, I wish you all good healthand a bright future.Again, thank you for everything.

Classmates, thank you for being caring, cheerful and considerate.

We’ve learned many things here. We’ve learned to respect others and to enjoy teamwork. We’ve learned to listen to others’ opinions and to tell right from wrong.
