LOCAL RULES 1. Out of Bounds – Rule 27 a. Beyond any boundary fences, walls, hedges or white marker posts outlining the course. b. On or over the access road, when playing any hole. c. The Practice Ground/Driving Range as defined by netting and/or white posts. d. The car park areas and flower beds around the Clubhouse. e. The white posts between the 6th & 7th fairways are only applicable when playing the 6th hole on the Yellow Course. 2. Stones in Bunkers are movable obstructions, Rule 24-1 applies. 3. Newly planted trees If individual trees, wired, staked or otherwise marked, interfere with stance or intended swing, relief must be taken in accordance with Rule 24-2. 4. Pop-up Sprinkler Heads All fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions and relief may be obtained under Rule 24-2. If the ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and is within two club-lengths of the intervening obstruction, it may be lifted, cleaned and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay which (a) is not nearer the holes, (b) avoids such intervention and (c) is not in a hazard or on a putting green. Penalty for breach of local rule: Match Play – Loss of hole; Stroke Play – Two Strokes. 5. Water Hazards – Rule 26 All ponds and ditches are water hazards whether they contain water or not. Water hazards are indicated by Yellow stakes or lines. Lateral water hazards are indicated by Red stakes or lines. 6. Notes Re Obstructions etc. Rules of Golf apply to all roads, steps, protective netting etc. Tracks made by machinery are considered to be GUR. All signs, course furniture, ball cleaners etc are immovable obstructions. 7. When Crossing Bridleways Golfers must give way to horses using such bridleways. 8.
