It’s Zetor new Major Tractor and ittakes its name from a model that sold more than1m copies between 1960 and 2006.The new Major is an 80hp machine that issomewhat more compact than Czech firm’scurrent base Proxima models. That makes itmore suitable for tight farmyards and it willprobably supersede the base Proximas in time.More than 70% of the tractors are likely to go outwith front loaders, and a synchro shuttle isstandard.Engines are 4,156cc, four cylinder, eight-valveunits, with no electronics or need forAdBlue/EGR. Transmissions are prettyuncomplicated, with three ranges and four gears,but no splitters or powershifts.

It’s Zetor new Major Tractor and ittakes its name from a model that sold more than1m copies between 1960 and 2006.The new Major is an 80hp machine that issomewhat more compact than Czech firm’scurrent base Proxima models. That makes itmore suitable for tight farmyards and it willprobably supersede the base Proximas in time.More than 70% of the tractors are likely to go outwith front loaders, and a synchro shuttle isstandard.Engines are 4,156cc, four cylinder, eight-valveunits, with no electronics or need forAdBlue/EGR. Transmissions are prettyuncomplicated, with three ranges and four gears,but no splitters or powershifts.
