Design Philosophy

Design should complement the fluidity of our daily lives. We need spaces to stimulate well-being, provoke liveliness and provide comfort for varying lifestyles. As designers, we can accomplish these goals by understanding client needs and striving to deliver above and beyond their expectations.

Process sketches

An independent study course that facilitated a team response to a design competition. The competiton focused on the transfomation of a computer room into a state-of-the-art technology center. There was a focus on programming, design exploration, innovation, creative compliance with existing conditions, and visual deliverables.

Design a technology center that maximizes function by implementing elements such as materials, finishes, and furnishings. Striving to create an aesthetically pleasing space that represents Farmhouse Fraternity while using a sleek and modern approach to impliment needed technical equipment.

process sketches

Making space as multifunctional and purposeful as possible in a tight 15’ by 20’ space was key to the design outcome. Manipulation of the floor plan was an extensive phase in the design process.

These renderings were generated for the Midterm presentation for the clients. We felt inclined to provide some rendered perspectives to depict a better sense of the space.

The handrail was not part of the initial design. As the space was being used, we noticed the walls becoming damaged and then solved the problem by exchanging the original chair and added the protective strip

The HON Nucleus chair was a great selection for the clients. It provides ergonomic comfort and is also manufactured with a green practice which helps reflect the overall concept of the space.
