When children learn about different parts of speech, they become exposed to a wide variety of words, learn how to make new words, and experiment with language. Therefore it is very important for them to learn to identify and use

nouns & pronouns correctly .

Instructional Objectives

Pre-Test

What are Nouns?Noun is the name of a person, place, thing, or idea. Whatever exists, we assume, can be named, and that name is a noun. Ex. John, Ponce, This are called proper noun. Common nouns are things like dogs , table , garden, cars.

Examples of common nouns:

Identify the correct noun word on the following sentences. 1. The coach planned a game. 2. The game will be played behind the school. 3. The little girl tossed a shiny coin.
