History: Knowledge & Retail of textiles has been in the ARDY DNA for generations. The ARDY legacy began by 3 generations ago starting with fabric retail in rural areas of Assam, India. The next generation expanded trading of silk and cotton fabrics into the metropolitan city of Mumbai. The third generation, Yogendra Agarwal, current CEO of ARDY International, pioneered the firm into supplying fabrics to design houses & exporting fabrics & garments to Italy, Yugoslavia, USA, France.

He belongs to the ARDY family which was founded in the early 1900’s as a trading company in textiles.

Progressing his carrier from sourcing from the best mills in India and selling to the leading domestic designers. With global opportunities arising, he started to supply textiles to the western market.

In the initial years the focus was on silk fabrics. He expanded his collections by developing innovative fabrics in different weaves & blends from textile waving centers across India.

He started exporting in the late 80’s after building a network by exhibiting at textile trade shows in India & abroad. He moved into garment production and now is producing garments & embroideries for some of the best brands in the world.

Fashion designers at ARDY create their own garment & embroidery collections for every season, to pitch an array of ideas to our customers. The collaboration of Foreign & Indian designers engenders new ideas & designs for creating new collections. Communication synergy between the designers & merchandisers results in efficiency in translating buyer’s designs to the suppliers and craftsman.
