Fasting,therefore, isnotonlytheperiodtoabstainfromfood,sexand

pleasuresoflifealonebutitistheperiodforseparatingourselvesfrom

theworldsystemandconsecrate ourselvestoGod.

HerearesomelessonsweneedtolearnaboutTrueFasting:

ItistheperiodtobeinGodspresencetolearnHiswords,listentoHis commandmentsor instructions through theHoly Spirit

(Act13:23;1Samuel3:10).

ItistheperiodofreturningtoGod(revivalperiod)forcleansing,blessingandteachingusHisways.Hosea6:1saysComeletus

returntoGod,itHewhohasturnsus,Hewillheal(revive)us.

Itishealingperiodfromsickness,cursesandforGodtoresetustogloriousdefaultforms.Fastingoverhaulusandmakesusto

beperfectimageofGod.

ItistheperiodtodemonstrateGodslovetootherpeople:Givefood,

cloths

and

forgive

their

debts.

and Prayer for World Peace and Global Economic

revival

Theyear2008markedmost remarkableglobaleconomicdownturn in

human history .Many global economic giant companies folded up

coupledwithmassiveretrenchmentofworkersworldwide.Thereisthe

fearthatyear2009maywitnessthemostawfuleconomicrecession in

humanhistoryanditcallsfordivineintervention.

We know as childrenofGod that thepanacea to the global financial

crisesiswithGod.WeneedtoreturntoGodinfastingandprayer.We

needtorepentofoursinsofkillingofinnocentlivesinformofwarsand

lackofnot showing love topeopledyingofhungeranddiseases .We

need to ask for forgivenessof ournations sin for promulgating laws

thatareinvariancewiththeBible,anexampleisthesamesexmarriage.

Weliveinworldwherepeoplearerulewithlawsthattheanimalsinthe

animalkingdomwouldnotuseonthefellowanimals.Weliveinaworld

wherenationsaredrunkwith intoxicantoftechnologicalachievements

rathershowingGods lovetomankind.There isthefearthatworldhas

most go to stateof annihilationbecause severalbillionof dollars are

spenttodevelopweaponsofmassdestructioninsteadofsupportingthe

gospelandfeedingthepoor.

The occurrences of Tsunamis, earthquake, fire outbreaks, dreaded

diseases and economic downturn in the world are clear cases that

requireus to return toGod .Iama scientistwithdoctoratedegree in

Mathematicsandwithresearch interest inmathematicalmodelingand

simulation; Iknowthatsciencemayoffersomesolutionstotheglobal

problemsbutcannotcomprehensivelyprovidemostenduringsolutions.

TheactivecomponentforfindingsolutionstoproblemsisKnowledge.It

isGodwhocangivethetrueknowledgeandwisdomthatwouldsolve

worlds challenging problems. Therefore, the antidotes for global
