O’ Jerusalem, Jerusalem...

(11 March – 14 April 2002)

Part 6

36 Truly I declare to you, all these [evil, calamitous times] will come upon this generation. [II Chron. 36:15, 16.]

37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, murdering the prophets and stoning those who are sent to you! How often would I have gathered your children together as a mother fowl gathers her brood under

her wings, and you refused! 38 Behold, your house is forsaken and desolate (abandoned and left destitute of God's help).

Dream: The Concrete Cobra and Concrete Stag… During the night of the 20th of March I had a dream. In my dream we were standing on the veranda of some hotel room looking old and haggard. We had just woken up and it was the Sabbath day. We were in a country where the people were keeping the Sabbath. The people wore red robes, which covered their clothes. All of them were preparing to attend the morning Sabbath meeting. I knew that it was near the time of fulfilment of that which God had called us for, as Yeshua said to the Pilate, the governor of Judah: This is why I was born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the Truth. Everyone who is of the Truth [who is a friend of the Truth, who belongs to the Truth] hears and listens to My voice. (John 18:37) Ampl It was a beautiful clear blue day and we were also on our way to attend the morning’s Sabbath meeting. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a demonic attack came out of the clear blue sky. It seemed like a gigantic

concrete cobra snapped at the people down below, like a tornado touching the ground, destroying all in its way. When I saw this attack coming on the people, great boldness entered me. I stepped forward, between the people who were being attacked the cobra in the heavens. I started to ward off the attack coming from the heavens with my heart beating wildly in my chest. I rebuked the attack in the Name of Yeshua, pointing my hands in the air, at this powerful force trying to destroy the people. Relentlessly the attack continued against the people of that city. It seemed like the attack just got worst and it seemed endless before the attack subsided. We drove past something looking like a blue controlling tower of an airport. As I looked up into the sky I saw many tiger moths, flying in formation in the opposite direction, having German or Nazi badges

underneath their wings. The aeroplane’s tail lights flickered from orange to white, indicating danger and warning. We drove past some army trucks, loaded with soldiers, also having their back lights flickering from orange to white, indicating roaming danger was everywhere. We had to be on our guard always, for anything could transpire at any moment of the day. The sincere blue sky was no indication of peace. We could nearly feel the looming danger in the air. The next moment, out of the blue sky, came another very furious attack. The same concrete cobra came upon us like lightning. Fear wanted to overwhelm me, but I reminded myself that I have only one weapon – the Name of Yeshua – Jesus, my Messiah. I kept rebuking the cobra, warding off the attacks on our vehicle. Just when it seemed like the attack was warded off another attack started. The attacks seemed endless. Suddenly I felt like a large animal had kicked me in the back. I heard my back broke, but to my surprise I could still move. When I realized that the enemy was only trying to intimidate me by its attack, my faith grew. Suddenly I was given the ability to fly out of the vehicle and attack the concrete cobra in the air. I kept rebuking the cobra, warding of the attacks on our vehicle, with my hand like a type of sword. The cobra relented from its attack and withdrew. I gained confidence in my fighting skills against the works of the enemy. Suddenly, what seemed like 3 wild boars, flying in the sky, each having a single tooth, like that of a warthog. They came against me like bees, attacking its prey from all directions. The attack came from all three directions. Like before, I kept on rebuking them in the Name of Jesus Christ, but I realized that I doubted whether they were also going to be warded off in the same way as the cobra was.

In the second part of the dream, it was a clear blue sky and we were in my parent’s house’s backyard. Without warning, the head of a goat filled the entire sky. The goat looked like a concrete stag having 4 horns, having the same characteristics of the concrete cobra, which attacked me out of the heavens. The goat like the cobra, attacked viciously from the sky. There were some children with me whom I had to protect. Again, in great boldness, I rebuked the goat with 4 horns in the Name of Yeshua - Jesus, until the attack was temporarily warded off. The attacks in my dream were very real and gripped me with overwhelming fear. Every time the attacked came it felt like a life threading situation. The Interpretation of the Dream: Many times in my dreams the Lord would allow me to play the role of the person or of the nations or people of whom the Holy Spirit is trying to convey a message. I believe this two part dream to have a dual meaning and purpose: In the first part of the dream I was in a city or a nation whom were identified by their worship of God on the Sabbath. There is only one nation from whom this religious practise originated: The nation of Israel – The Jewish people. Thus the dream probably plays off in one of the cities of Israel and most probably the old city of Jerusalem. We were driving past an airport. An airport refers to international relations. The blue air traffic controlling tower refers to the spiritual traffic in the heavens above Israel.

of Israel and its largest city[2]

in both

population and area,[3]

with a population of 747,600

residents over an area of 125.1 square kilometres

(48.3 sq mi) if disputed East Jerusalem is

included.[1][4][iv]

Located in the

Judean Mountains, between the

Mediterranean Sea and the northern

tip of the Dead Sea, modern

Jerusalem has grown beyond the

boundaries of the Old City.

The city has a history that goes back

to the 4th millennium BCE, making

it one of the oldest cities in the

world.[5]

Jerusalem has been the holiest city in Judaism

and the spiritual centre of the Jewish people since the

10th century BCE,[6]

contains a number of significant

ancient Christian sites, and is considered the third-

holiest city in Islam.[7]

Despite having an area of only

0.9 square kilometre (0.35 square mile),[8]

the Old City

is home to sites of key religious importance, among

them the Temple Mount, the Western Wall, the Church

of the Holy Sepulchre, the Dome of the Rock and al-

Aqsa Mosque. The old walled city, a World Heritage

site, has been traditionally divided into four quarters,

although the names used today — the Armenian,

Christian, Jewish, and Muslim Quarters — were

introduced in the early 19th century.[9]

The Old City

was nominated for inclusion on the List of World

Heritage Sites in danger by Jordan in 1982.[10]

In the

course of its history, Jerusalem has been destroyed

twice, besieged 23 times, attacked 52 times, and

captured and recaptured 44 times.[11]

Today, the status of Jerusalem remains one of the core

issues in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Israel's

annexation of East Jerusalem has been repeatedly

condemned by the United Nations and related

bodies,[12][13]

and Arab Palestinians foresee East

Jerusalem as the capital of their

future state.[14][15]

In the wake of

United Nations Security Council

Resolution 478 (passed in 1980),

most foreign embassies moved out

of Jerusalem, although some

countries, such as the United

States, still own land in the city

and pledge to return their

embassies once political agreements warrant the

move.[16]

The City of Jerusalem has been a city of much contention, because of its Jewish, Christian and Islamic histories. This piece of land has been fought

over, because it is considered the Most Holy place for the Jewish people and the third holiest site for Islam. Many prophesies, which were prophesied by all the prophets, which came up until Yeshua came, regarding Jerusalem, are still unfulfilled. These same prophesies, written in the Jewish Torah and the writings of the Apostles, the Old and New Testament foretell of a great war that will be fought over this piece of ground. Jerusalem will be the place of great victory for God and His chosen people, but a great slaughter for those who will oppose God’s covenant with Israel. This city will be surrounded in the days to come by all the nations of the world, because of hatred for the Jewish God and the Christian Messiah – Yeshua aMashiach - soon to be proven to be the same God and Saviour of both the Jews and the Christians, who accepts the price that was paid by Jesus Christ on the cross. In this dream the Holy Spirit prophetically pointed to the time when we personally must also go to Israel in fulfilment of all that Yeshua had promised, in fulfilment of Yeshua’s words: 34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who continue to kill the prophets and to stone those who are sent to you! How often I have desired and yearned to gather your children together [around Me], as a hen [gathers] her young under her wings, but you would not! 35 Behold, your house is forsaken (abandoned, left to you destitute of God's help)! And I tell you, you will not see Me again until the time comes when you shall say: “Blessed (to be celebrated with praises) is He Who comes in the

name of the Lord!” [Ps. 118:26; Jer. 22:5.] (Luke 13:34-35) Ampl A great stronghold lies in the spirit over the people of Israel and remains to be removed from the hearts of the people, as was written by the apostle Paul, saying: “I do not want you to miss this hidden truth and

mystery, brethren: a hardening (insensibility) has [temporarily] befallen a part of Israel [to last] until the full number of the ingathering of the Gentiles has come in…(Rom 11:25) Ampl The full number of the Gentiles to be saved are about to be completed, then the veil over the hearts of the Jewish people will be removed and the stronghold will be broken by the Spirit of God, as was prophesied: 1 IN THAT day there shall be a fountain opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem [to cleanse them from] sin and uncleanness. 2 And in that day, says the Lord of hosts, I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, and they shall no more be remembered; and also I will remove from the land the [false] prophets and the unclean spirit. (Zech 13:1 -2) Ampl God is about to break the idols and the false gods and false prophet that the Roman Catholic popes have created, thousand four hundred years ago. God has called us to go to Jerusalem to bring the good news to the nation of Israel and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for as the prophet Isaiah said: 5 But now what have I here, says the Lord, seeing that My people have been taken away for nothing? Those who rule over them howl [with joy], says the Lord, and My name continually is blasphemed all day long. [Rom. 2:24.] 6 Therefore My people shall know what My name is and what it means; therefore they shall know in that day that I am He who speaks; behold, I AM! [Exod. 3:13, 14.] 7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good tidings, who publishes peace, who brings good tidings of good, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, Your God reigns! [Acts 10:36; Rom. 10:15; Eph. 6:14-16.] 8

Hark, your watchmen lift up their voices; together they sing for joy; for they shall see eye to eye the return of the Lord to Zion. 9 Break forth joyously, sing together, you waste places of Jerusalem, for the Lord has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem! 10 The Lord has made bare His holy arm before the eyes of all the nations [revealing Himself as the One by Whose direction the redemption of Israel from captivity is accomplished], and all the ends of the earth shall witness the salvation of our God. [Luke 2:29-32; 3:6.] (Isa 52:7) Ampl God has always loved Israel and has not forgotten His covenants with Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and David. God has not forgotten the covenant, which He gave regards the Promised Land, the land flowing with milk and honey, which He promised to Abraham and His Seed. The City of Jerusalem was included in God’s promise to Israel. God is about to return to the same city, revealing His mighty arm and salvation to all the earth. Satan will try to deceive the world by setting himself in the Temple of God, saying that He is God. God will send watchmen to Jerusalem to prepare and warn the people of the world for what is about to happen in the world, as is written: 7 “Surely the Lord God will do nothing without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets.” [Rev. 10:7.] (Amos 3:7) Ampl Contention over Jerusalem: This city has been a bone of contention over many centuries. Roman rule over Jerusalem and the region

began to be challenged with the First Jewish–Roman

War, which resulted in the destruction of the Second

Temple in 70 CE. Jerusalem once again served as the

capital of Judea during the three-year rebellion known

as the Bar Kochba revolt, beginning in 132 CE. The

Romans succeeded in suppressing the revolt in 135 CE.

Emperor Hadrian Romanized the city, renaming it

Aelia Capitolina.[44]

, and banned the Jews from

entering it. Hadrian renamed the entire Iudaea Province

Syria Palaestina after the biblical Philistines in an

attempt to de-Judaize the country.[45] [46]

Enforcement

of the ban on Jews entering Aelia Capitolina continued

until the 4th century CE.

In the five centuries following the Bar Kokhba revolt,

the city remained under Roman then Byzantine rule.

During the 4th century, the Roman Emperor

Constantine I constructed Christian sites in Jerusalem

such as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Jerusalem

reached a peak in size and population at the end of the

Second Temple Period: The city covered two square

kilometres (0.8 sq mi.) and had a population of

200,000[45][47]

From the days of Constantine until the

7th century, Jews were banned from Jerusalem.[48]

Within the span of a few decades, Jerusalem shifted

from Roman to Persian rule and returned to Roman

dominion once more. Following Sassanid Khosrau II's

early seventh century push into Byzantine, advancing

through Syria, Sassanid Generals Shahrbaraz and

Shahin attacked the Byzantine-controlled city of

Jerusalem (Persian: Dej Houdkh).[49]

In the Siege of Jerusalem (614), after 21 days of

relentless siege warfare, Jerusalem was captured and

the Persian victory resulted in the territorial annexation

of Jerusalem. After the Sassanid army entered

Jerusalem, the holy "True Cross" was stolen and sent

back to the Sassanian capital as a battle-captured holy

relic. Persians massacred up to 90,000 Christians.[50]

The conquered city and the Holy Cross would remain

in Sassanid hands for some fifteen years until the

Byzantine Emperor Heraclius recovered them in

629.[49]

Many wars have been fought, wanting control over the city of Jerusalem. The Romans wanted this city, because it showed their conquest over Israel and the Jewish people. The Roman Emperor wanted Jerusalem, because he wanted to incorporate Christianity into his state religion, trying to merge the great rift between Christianity and pagan sun-god worship, which came from the tower of Babel. Arab Rule Jerusalem is considered Islam's third holiest city after Mecca and Medina. Among Muslims of an earlier era, it was referred to as al-Bayt al-Muqaddas; later, it became known as al-Quds al-Sharif. In 638, the Islamic Caliphate extended its dominion to Jerusalem.[51] With the Arab conquest, Jews were allowed back into the city.[52] The Rashidun caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab signed a treaty with Monophysite Christian Patriarch Sophronius, assuring him that Jerusalem's Christian holy places and population would be protected under Muslim rule.[53] Umar was led to the Foundation Stone on the Temple Mount, which he cleared of refuse in preparation for building a mosque. According to the Gaullic bishop Arculf, who lived in Jerusalem from 679-688, the Mosque of Umar was a rectangular wooden structure built over ruins which could accommodate 3,000 worshipers.[54] The Umayyad caliph Abd al-Malik commissioned the construction of the Dome of the Rock in the late 7th century.[55] The 10th century historian al-Muqaddasi writes that Abd al-Malik built the shrine in order to compete in grandeur of Jerusalem's monumental churches.[54] Over the next four hundred years, Jerusalem's prominence

diminished as Arab powers in the region jockeyed for control.[56] The Muslims, under the indirect instigation of the Roman Catholic Church, through the prophet Muhammad, conquered Jerusalem to set up their holy place in Jerusalem, in defiance of both Jews and Christians. An Islamic Temple, call a Mosque, was build with the inscription, above the door, written in Arabic: “God has no son.”

The indirect role that the Roman Catholic Church played in conquering Jerusalem through the Muslims was not known until many years later. A Secret, well kept, by the Roman Catholic Church, until the last 30 years, was revealed by a Jesuit priest. The following description of what happened behind the scenes, in the Roman Catholic Church, was given by Alberto Rivera, former Jesuit priest after his conversion to Protestant Christianity. It is excerpted from "The Prophet," published by Chick Publications, PO Box 662, Chino CA 91708. Since its publication, after several unsuccessful attempts on his life, he died suddenly from food poisoning. His testimony should not be silenced. Dr. Rivera speaks to us still...

Alberto Rivera’s testimony: "What I'm going to tell you is what I learned in secret briefings in the Vatican when I was a Jesuit priest, under oath and induction. A Jesuit cardinal named Augustine Bea showed us how desperately the Roman Catholics wanted Jerusalem at the end of the third century. Because of its religious history and its strategic location, the Holy City was considered a priceless treasure. A scheme had to be developed to make Jerusalem a Roman Catholic city. "The great untapped source of manpower that could do this job was the children of Ishmael. The poor Arabs fell victim to one of the most clever plans ever devised by the powers of darkness. Early Christians went everywhere with the gospel setting up small churches, but they met heavy

opposition. Both the Jews and the Roman government persecuted the believers in Christ to stop their spread. But the Jews rebelled against Rome, and in 70 AD, Roman armies under General Titus smashed Jerusalem and destroyed the great Jewish temple, which was the heart of Jewish worship...in fulfilment of Christ's prophecy in Matthew 24:2. "On this holy placed today where the temple once stood, the Dome of the Rock Mosque stands as Islam's second most holy place. Sweeping changes were in the wind. Corruption, apathy, greed, cruelty, perversion and rebellion were eating at the Roman Empire, and it was ready to collapse. The persecution against Christians was useless as they continued to lay down their lives for the gospel of Christ. "The only way Satan could stop this thrust was to create a counterfeit "Christian" religion to destroy the work of God. The solution was in Rome. Their religion had come from ancient Babylon and all it needed was a face-lift. This didn't happen overnight, but began in the writings of the 'early church fathers'. "It was through their writings that a new religion would take shape. The statue of Jupiter in Rome was eventually called St. Peter, and the statue of Venus was changed to the Virgin Mary. The site chosen for its headquarters was on one of the seven hills called 'Vaticanus', the place of the diving serpent where the satanic temple of Janus stood. "The great counterfeit religion was Roman Catholicism, called 'Mystery, Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth'- (Rev 17:5). She was raised up to block the gospel, slaughter the believers in Christ, establish religions, create wars and make the nations drunk with the wine of her fornication as we will see. "Three major religions have one thing in common - each has a holy place where they look

for guidance. Roman Catholicism looks to the Vatican as the Holy City. The Jews look to the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem, and the Muslims look to Mecca as their Holy City. Each group believes that they receive certain types of blessings for the rest of their lives for visiting their holy places. In the beginning, Arab visitors would bring gifts to the 'House of God', and the keepers of the Kaaba were gracious to all who came. Some brought their idols and, not wanting to offend these people, their idols were placed inside the sanctuary. It is said that the Jews looked upon the Kaaba as an outlying tabernacle of the Lord with veneration until it became polluted with idols. "In a tribal contention over a well (Zamzam) the treasure of the Kaaba and the offerings that pilgrims had given were dumped down the well and it was filled with sand - it disappeared. Many years later Adb Al-Muttalib was given visions telling him where to find the well and its treasure. He became the hero of Mecca, and he was destined to become the grandfather of Muhammad. Before this time, Augustine became the bishop of North Africa and was effective in winning Arabs to Roman Catholicism, including whole tribes. It was among these Arab converts to Catholicism that the concept of looking for an Arab prophet developed.” Muhammad’s father died from illness and sons born to great Arab families in places like Mecca were sent into the desert to be suckled and weaned and spend some of their childhood with Bedouin tribes for training and to avoid the plagues in the cities. "After his mother and grandfather also died, Muhammad was with his uncle when a Roman Catholic monk learned of his identity and said, "Take your brother's son back to his country and guard him against the Jews, for by god, if they see him and know of him that which I know, they will construe evil against him. Great things are in store for this brother's son of yours."

"The Roman Catholic monk had fanned the flames for future Jewish persecutions at the hands of the followers of Muhammad. The Vatican desperately wanted Jerusalem because of its religious significance, but was blocked by the Jews. "Another problem was the true Christians in North Africa who preached the gospel. Roman Catholicism was growing in power, but would not tolerate opposition. Somehow the Vatican had to create a weapon to eliminate both the Jews and the true Christian believers who refused to accept Roman Catholicism. Looking to North Africa, they saw the multitudes of Arabs as a source of manpower to do their dirty work. Some Arabs had become Roman Catholic, and could be used in reporting information to leaders in Rome. Others were used in an underground spy network to carry out Rome's master plan to control the great multitudes of Arabs who rejected Catholicism. When 'St Augustine' appeared on the scene, he knew what was going on. His monasteries served as bases to seek out and destroy Bible manuscripts owned by the true Christians. "The Vatican wanted to create a messiah for the Arabs, someone they could raise up as a great leader, a man with charisma whom they could train, and eventually unite all the non-Catholic Arabs behind him, creating a mighty army that would ultimately capture Jerusalem for the pope. In the Vatican briefing, Cardinal Bea told us this story: 'A wealthy Arabian lady who was a faithful follower of the pope played a tremendous part in this drama. She was a widow named Khadijah. She gave her wealth to the church and retired to a

convent, but was given an assignment. She was to find a brilliant young man who could be used by the Vatican to create a new religion and become the messiah for the children of Ishmael. Khadijah had a cousin named Waraquah, who was also a very faithful Roman Catholic and the Vatican placed him in a critical role as Muhammad's advisor. He had tremendous influence on Muhammad. 'Teachers were sent to young Muhammad and he had intensive training. Muhammad studied the works of St. Augustine which prepared him for his "great calling." The Vatican had Catholic Arabs across North Africa spread the story of a great one who was about to rise up among the people and be the chosen one of their God. 'While Muhammad was being prepared, he was told that his enemies were the Jews and that the only true Christians were Roman Catholic. He was taught that

others calling themselves Christians were actually wicked impostors and should be destroyed. Many Muslims believed this. 'Muhammad began receiving "divine revelations" and his wife's Catholic cousin Waraquah helped interpret them. From this came the Koran. In the fifth year of Muhammad's mission, persecution

came against his followers because they refused to worship the idols in the Kaaba. 'Muhammad instructed some of them to flee to Abysinnia where Negus, the Roman Catholic king accepted them because Muhammad's views on the virgin Mary were so close to Roman Catholic doctrine.

These Muslims received protection from Catholic kings because of Muhammad's revelations. 'Muhammad later conquered Mecca and the Kaaba was cleared of idols. History proves that before Islam came into existence, the Sabeans in Arabia worshiped the moon-god who was married to the sun-god. They gave birth to three goddesses who were worshipped throughout the Arab world as "Daughters of Allah" An idol excavated at Hazor in Palestine in 1950's shows Allah sitting on a throne with the crescent moon on his chest. 'Muhammad claimed he had a vision from Allah and was told, "You are the messenger of Allah." This began his career as a prophet and he received many messages. By the time Muhammad died, the religion of Islam was exploding. The nomadic Arab tribes were joining forces in the name of Allah and his prophet, Muhammad. 'Some of Muhammad's writings were placed in the Koran, others were never published. They are now in the hands of high ranking holy men (Ayatollahs) in the Islamic faith.' "When Cardinal Bea shared with us in the Vatican, he said, these writings are guarded because they contain information that links the Vatican to the creation of Islam. Both sides have so much information on each other, that if exposed, it could create such a scandal that it would be a disaster for both religions. The religion of Islam was created for the soul purpose to over through Jerusalem and to give it to the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church. The Pope wanted to be seen as the one who had all authority on earth. But this plan did not work out as the Catholic Popes

had hoped. The man, whom they had created, Muhammad, the revered and feared prophet, had no need of Rome anymore. He wanted Jerusalem for himself. He wanted to erect his new symbol and emblem of power and holiness – The Moslem Mosque, in the city of Jerusalem. Crusader Period The war for Jerusalem was not only between the Jewish people and the Moslems, but also the Crusaders. Who was the Crusaders and why did the crusaders want to take charge of Jerusalem and for what purpose? In 1063, Pope Alexander II had given his blessing to Iberian Christians in their wars against the Muslims, granting both a papal standard (the vexillum sancti Petri) and an indulgence to those who were killed in battle. Pleas from the Byzantine Emperors, now threatened by the Seljuks, thus fell on ready ears. These occurred in 1074, from Emperor Michael VII to Pope Gregory VII and in 1095, from Emperor Alexios I Komnenos to Pope Urban II. One source identifies Michael VII in Chinese records as a ruler of Byzantium (Fulin) who sent an envoy to Song Dynasty China in 1081.[10] [11] A Chinese scholar suggests that this and further Byzantine envoys in 1091 were pleas for China to aid in the fight against the Turks.[12]

The Crusades were, in part, an outlet for an intense religious piety which rose up in the late 11th century among the lay public. A crusader would, after pronouncing a solemn vow, receive a cross from the hands of the pope or his legates, and was thenceforth considered a "soldier of the Church.” This was partly because of the Investiture

Controversy, which had started around 1075 and was still on-going during the First Crusade. As both sides of the Investiture Controversy tried to marshal public opinion in their favour, people became personally engaged in a dramatic religious controversy. The result was an awakening of intense Christian piety and public interest in religious affairs, and was further strengthened by religious propaganda, which advocated Just War in order to retake the Holy Land from the Muslims. The Holy Land included Jerusalem (where the death, resurrection and ascension into heaven of Jesus took place according to Christian theology) and Antioch (the first Christian city). Further, the remission of sin was a driving factor and provided any God-fearing man who had committed sins with an irresistible way out of eternal damnation in Hell. It was a hotly debated issue throughout the Crusades as what exactly "remission of sin" meant. Most believed that by retaking Jerusalem they would go straight to heaven after death. However, much controversy surrounds exactly what was promised by the popes of the time. One theory was that one had to die fighting for Jerusalem for the remission to apply, which would hew more closely to what Pope Urban II said in his speeches. This meant that if the crusaders were successful, and retook Jerusalem, the survivors would not be given remission. Another theory was that if one reached Jerusalem, one would be relieved of the sins one had committed before the Crusade. Therefore one could still be sentenced to Hell for sins committed afterwards.[citation needed] See Wikipedia. The Roman Catholic system created a war machine, driven by lies and false hopes, manipulating the people to believe that they were fighting in the name of God and the Holy Church of God on earth.

In 1099, Jerusalem was conquered by the Crusaders, who massacred most of its Muslim inhabitants and the remnants of the Jewish inhabitants; the Crusaders later expelled the native Christian population and created the Kingdom of Jerusalem. By early June 1099 Jerusalem’s population had declined from 70,000 to less than 30,000.[57]

Ayyubid, and Mamluk Period

In 1187, the city was wrested from the Crusaders by Saladin who permitted Jews and Muslims to return and settle in the city.[58] Under the Ayyubid dynasty of Saladin, a period of huge investment began in the construction of houses, markets, public bathes, and pilgrim hostels as well as the establishment of religious endowments. However, for most of the 13th century, Jerusalem declined to the status of a village due to city's fall of strategic value and Ayyubid internecine struggles.[59]

In 1244, Jerusalem was sacked by the Kharezmian Tartars, who decimated the city's Christian population and drove out the Jews.[60] The Khwarezmian Tatars were driven out by the Ayyubids in 1247. From 1250-1517, Jerusalem was ruled by the Mamluks. During this period of time many clashes occurred between the Mamluks on one side and the crusaders and the Mongols on the other side. The area also suffered from many earthquakes and the black plague. The Ottoman Era In 1517, Jerusalem and environs fell to the Ottoman Turks, who generally remained in control until 1917.[58] Jerusalem enjoyed a period of renewal and peace under Suleiman the Magnificent - including the rebuilding of magnificent walls around the Old City. Throughout much of Ottoman rule, Jerusalem remained a provincial, if religiously important centre, and did not straddle the main trade route between

Damascus and Cairo.[61] However, the Muslim Turks brought many innovations: modern postal systems run by the various consulates; the use of the wheel for modes of transportation; stagecoach and carriage, the wheelbarrow and the cart; and the oil-lantern, among the first signs of modernization in the city.[62] In the mid 19th century, the Ottomans constructed the first paved road from Jaffa to Jerusalem, and by 1892 the railroad had reached the city.[62] With the annexation of Jerusalem by Muhammad Ali of Egypt in 1831, foreign missions and consulates began to establish a foothold in the city. In 1836, Ibrahim Pasha allowed Jerusalem's Jewish residents to restore four major synagogues, among them the Hurva.[63] In the 1834 Arab revolt in Palestine, Qasim al-Ahmad led his forces from Nablus and attacked Jerusalem, aided by the Abu Ghosh clan, entered the city on May 31, 1834. The Christians and Jews of Jerusalem were subjected to attacks. Ibrahim's Egyptian army routed Qasim's forces in Jerusalem the following month.[64] Ottoman rule was reinstated in 1840, but many Egyptian Muslims remained in Jerusalem and Jews from Algiers and North Africa began to settle in the city in growing numbers.[63] In the 1840s and 1850s, the international powers began a tug-of-war in Palestine as they sought to extend their protection over the country's religious minorities, a struggle carried out mainly through consular representatives in Jerusalem.[65] According to the Prussian consul, the population in 1845 was 16,410, with 7,120 Jews, 5,000 Muslims, 3,390 Christians, 800 Turkish soldiers and 100 Europeans.[63] The volume of Christian pilgrims increased under the Ottomans, doubling the city's population around Easter time.[66]

In the 1860s, new neighborhoods began to develop outside the Old City walls to house pilgrims and relieve the intense overcrowding and poor sanitation inside the city. The Russian Compound and Mishkenot Sha'ananim were founded in 1860.[67] In 1867 an American Missionary reports an estimated population of Jerusalem of 'above' 15,000. With 4,000 to 5,000 Jews and 6,000 Muslims. Every year there were 5,000 to 6,000 Russian Christian Pilgrims.[68] British Mandate In 1917 after the Battle of Jerusalem, the British Army, led by General Edmund Allenby, captured the city,[69] and in 1922, the League of Nations at the Conference of Lausanne entrusted the United Kingdom to administer the Mandate for Palestine. From 1922 to 1948 the total population of the city rose from 52,000 to 165,000 with two thirds of Jews and one-third of Arabs (Muslims and Christians).[70] The situation between Arabs and Jews in Palestine was not quiet. At Jerusalem, in particular riots occurred in 1920 and in 1929. Under the British, new garden suburbs were built in the western and northern parts of the city[71][72] and institutions of higher learning such as the Hebrew University were founded.[73] As the British Mandate for Palestine was expiring, the 1947 UN Partition Plan recommended "the creation of a special international regime in the City of Jerusalem, constituting it as a corpus separatum under the administration of the United Nations."[74] The international regime (which also included the city of Bethlehem) was to remain in force for a period of ten years, whereupon a referendum was to be held in which the residents were to decide the future regime of their city.

Israel’s Independence However, this plan was not implemented, as the 1948 war erupted, while the British withdrew from Palestine and Israel declared its independence.[75] The war led to displacement of Arab and Jewish populations in the city. The 1,500 residents of the Jewish Quarter of the Old City were expelled and a few hundred taken prisoner when the Arab Legion captured the quarter on 28 May.[76][77] Residents of many Arab villages and neighborhoods west of the Old City left with the approach of the war, but thousands remained and were driven out or killed, as at Lifta or Deir Yassin.[78][79][80]

The no-man's land between East and West Jerusalem came into being in November 1948: Moshe Dayan, commander of the Israeli forces in Jerusalem, met with his Jordanian counterpart Abdullah el Tell in a deserted house in Jerusalem’s Musrara neighbourhood and marked out their respective positions: Israel’s position in red and Jordan's in green. This rough map, which was not meant as a an official one, became the final ceasefire line in the 1949 Armistice Agreements, which divided the city and left Mount Scopus as an Israeli exclave.[81] Barbed wire and concrete barriers ran down the centre of the city and military skirmishes frequently threatened the ceasefire. After the establishment of the State of Israel, Jerusalem was declared its capital. Jordan formally annexed East Jerusalem in 1950, subjecting it to Jordanian law.[75][82] Only the United Kingdom and Pakistan formally recognized such annexation, which, in regard to Jerusalem, was on a de facto basis.[83] Also, it is dubious if Pakistan recognized Jordan's annexation.[84][85]

Jordan assumed control of the holy places in the Old City. Contrary to the terms of the agreement, Israelis were denied access to Jewish holy sites, many of which were desecrated. Jordan allowed only very limited access to Christian holy sites.[86][87] During this period, the Dome of the Rock and al-Aqsa Mosque underwent major renovations.[88] The Six-Day War… During the 1967 Six-Day War, Israel captured East Jerusalem and asserted sovereignty over the entire city. Jewish and Christian access to holy sites was restored, while the Temple Mount remained under the jurisdiction of an Islamic waqf. The Moroccan Quarter, which was located adjacent to the Western Wall, was vacated and razed[89] to make way for a plaza for those visiting the wall.[90] Since the war, Israel has expanded the city's boundaries and established a ring of Jewish neighbourhoods on vacant land east of the Green Line. However, the takeover of East Jerusalem was met with international criticism. Following the passing of Israel's Jerusalem Law, which declared Jerusalem, "complete and united", the capital of Israel,[91] the United Nations Security Council passed a resolution that declared the law "a violation of international law" and requested all member states to withdraw all remaining embassies from the city.[92] The status of the city, and especially its holy places, remains a core issue in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Jewish settlers have taken over historic sites and built on land confiscated from Arabs[93] in order to expand the Jewish presence in East Jerusalem,[94] while prominent Islamic leaders have made claims that Jews have no historical connection to Jerusalem, alleging that the 2500-year

old Western Wall was constructed as part of a mosque.[95] Palestinian Arabs envision East Jerusalem as the capital of a future Palestinian state,[96][97] and the city's borders have been the subject of bilateral talks. RAFAH, Gaza (CNN) -- Israeli helicopters fired missiles at a Palestinian security compound in Gaza early Saturday, Israel Defense Forces said.

Two helicopters targeted the Palestinian military intelligence headquarters, a police station, and a building housing Force 17 the elite guard of Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat, who is facing increasing Israeli and international pressure to crack down on militant groups blamed for terror attacks.

The helicopter attacks, which took place around 1:15 a.m. (6:15 p.m. EST Friday), came after Israeli demands went unheeded that Palestinians halt the mortar fire on the settlement of Gush Katif in southern Gaza, the IDF said. The organizations that were attacked were directly and indirectly responsible for the mortar shells, the IDF said.

Human rights group Amnesty International has harshly condemned Israel for "assassinating" Palestinian militants and for using "excessive" force in dealing with the four-month-old Palestinian uprising.

An Amnesty fact-finding team, which visited Israel and the Palestinian territories recently, found that Israel had killed some people who could have been arrested, a report issued on Wednesday said.

"The use of state assassinations by Israel against Palestinian suspects is undermining the rule of law and fuelling the cycle of violence in the region," the report said.

Israel has admitted to targeting specific individuals, who, it says have engaged in or are planning "terrorist acts.”

'Violent threats'

The press spokesman for the Israeli Embassy in London, DJ Schneeweiss, told the BBC Israel characterises the attacks as "pinpoint killings of those engaged in violence against Israel.”

"Unfortunately we're in a situation of armed conflict... We had a political process, we had a dialogue where we were trying to resolve our differences. The Palestinians have clearly abandoned that dialogue and have decided to resort to force."

He said Israel had to respond to the "armed and violent threats" with violence.

'State assassination'

But Amnesty sees the policy differently. The organisation's Elizabeth Hodgkin told the BBC that Amnesty considered the killings "extra-judicial executions.”

"That's to say executions without any trial and outside the judicial process... we've called them state assassinations." She said that they believed some of those who had been "liquidated" could just as easily been arrested and brought to trial.

Last week, Massoud Ayyan, one of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's bodyguards, was killed in an Israeli rocket attack in the Gaza Strip. Israel maintained that he was also an agent for the Lebanese militant group Hizbollah. Nasr Mohammed al-

Hasanat, who worked for the Palestinian security services, was killed two days later by Israeli security forces.

The Amnesty report also criticised the Palestinians, saying paramilitary groups had targeted Israeli civilians. "Israeli security forces and Palestinian armed groups are showing an appalling disregard for the supreme human right: the right to life," the report said.

Analysis: 'I don't see how this ends well' in Gaza

JERUSALEM — As Israel clamps down on the Gaza Strip and prepares for the possibility of sending thousands of soldiers into the Palestinian area controlled by the militant Islamic group Hamas, its leaders are facing a diplomatic conundrum: They have clear military goals but no political vision for how to end the confrontation.

"I don't see how this ends well, even if, in two weeks time, it looks like it ends well," said Daniel Levy, a political analyst who once served as an adviser to Ehud Barak, the former Israeli prime minister who's now leading the military campaign against Hamas as Israel's defense minister.

Israel's expanding air strikes already have delivered a costly blow to the Hamas rulers in Gaza by killing hundreds of the group's soldiers and decimating its network of government security compounds.

Beyond that, though, Israeli leaders haven't explained what could bring the violence to a halt. Once the smoke clears, the rubble is removed and the dead are buried, Hamas is still almost certain to remain in control of the Gaza Strip and its hard-line leaders are already vowing to strike back.

"To the extent to which there's a scenario where Israel wins a tactical round, it will again lose a strategic round," said Levy, a senior fellow at The New America Foundation, a liberal policy institute in Washington, D.C. that's providing ideas and personnel to the incoming administration of President-elect Barack Obama.

On Sunday, Obama chief lieutenant David Axelrod offered tacit backing for Israel, blaming Hamas for sparking the conflict as the Bush administration also has done. If Obama continues to offer similar unqualified support for Israeli military action, it could make it harder for him to demonstrate to the Arab world that he's a more even-handed middleman than Bush has been.

Israeli officials Sunday said their top priority is to destabilize Hamas and cripple its ability to keep firing the crude rockets into southern Israel that have killed seven Israelis in the last two years.

Here the Israeli government appears to have learned a lesson from its bungled 2006 war in Lebanon against fighters from Hezbollah, another militant Islamic group. There, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert failed to achieve his main goals: Forcing Hezbollah to return the two Israeli soldiers whose capture sparked the 34-day war and silencing rocket fire from Shiite Muslim militants in southern Lebanon.

"What we want to do is significantly reduce the rocket fire," said Miri Eisin, a reserve colonel in the Israeli Army and spokeswoman for the Israeli government. "If Hamas says no more rocket fire, then we'll see where that goes."

Olmert and his government, however, refuse to negotiate directly with Hamas until the group, which is

supported by Iran and Syria, renounces its goal of destroying Israel.

The standoff worsened last year when, after winning 2006 democratic elections that were backed by the Bush administration, Hamas seized military control of Gaza in a humiliating rout of forces loyal to pragmatic Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

Since then, Israel and the U.S. have been trying to provide political support to Abbas by trying to revive stagnant peace talks and helping to rebuild his security forces in the West Bank, between Israel and Jordan.

The goal is to show the Palestinian voters who propelled Hamas to political power in 2006 that Abbas and his pro-Western government are a better alternative.

"We have a dialogue with the Palestinian Authority," said Eisin. "You don't have an alternative to that at the end of the day."

If anything, however, the U.S.-Israeli effort has pushed Abbas and Hamas farther apart and made re-uniting the rival Palestinian factions more difficult.

That leaves Israel, the United States and Abbas with few diplomatic options: Hamas refuses to abandon its pledge to destroy Israel while Israel and the U.S. refuse to talk to Hamas until the group does. Abbas, meanwhile, refuses to reconcile with Hamas until the group surrenders control of Gaza.

Israeli security sources reported on Friday evening that a military helicopter was hit by Palestinian gunfire when resistance fighters opened fire at it as it flew over Gaza. The sources added that the aircraft managed to fly back to Israel with no casualties.

The Al Qassam brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, issued a press release claiming responsibility for the attack and stating that its fighters open fire at the chopper and

managed to score direct hits.

Abu Obaida, media spokesperson of the Al Qassam brigades, said that the chopper was flying over north Gaza when the fighters opened fire at it.

He added that the fighters will continue to target any Israeli war jets that fly over the Gaza Strip “with the continuously improving ammunitions and the more accurate weapons the fighters obtain.”

Although the Israeli army refused to officially comment on the incident, security sources in Israel admitted that the aircraft was hit by Palestinian gunfire and added that the helicopter suffered light damage and managed to land in Israel.

The sources added that the crew onboard the aircraft was unharmed.

Also on Friday, resistance fighters fired several homemade shells from the Gaza Strip into the Israeli Negev town of Sderot as the Israeli deputy defense minister was visiting the town. Army sources reported that the shells landed in open areas causing no damage or injuries.

The most amazing point of this whole discussion is this. God does nothing without reason in the details of a dream. The most commonly used helicopter, used by the Israeli goverment and armed air forces to remove Israeli threads, attacking out of the sky, is the AH-1 Cobra Helicopter. Later this helicopter was replaced by the more powerful and advanced attack helicopter: AH-64A Apache. A coincidence in my dream regards the concrete cobra attacking us out of the air? No God is in control and knows all things.

Since 1990 the Israel Air Force has operated AH-64 Apaches. The Israeli Air Force (IAF) uses the Apache to strike various targets with guided missiles. The AH-64A attacked and destroyed some of Hezbollah outposts in Lebanon during the 1990s, attacking in many weather conditions — day and night. During the morning of 24 May 2001, a private owned Lebanese registered Cessna 152 flew into Israeli airspace and was intercepted by two Israeli AH-64. One of the helicopters shot down the Cessna with an AGM-114 Hellfire missile off the coast of Netanya killing the pilot.[23][24]

The AH-1 Cobra was the world's first dedicated (that is, specifically designed) armed attack helicopter. The need for an armed gunship to protect unarmed helicopters had quickly become apparent during the early months of the Vietnam conflict, when many helicopters were lost to ground fire. The AH-1, being fast, heavily armed, and highly

maneuverable, proved itself a powerful combatant throughout the rest of the war. Its precedent-setting design has led to many other variations (including some with two engines) and a number of other armed helicopters have been developed by different manufacturers.

The Broken back 2 Years later, June 2004, I had a serious motor bike accident. One week after I had interceded for Pretoria and South Africa for revival and the spiritual revolution, which the Lord had told me. I fell with the motor bike and my lower spine was snapped and broken in two. But praise be to God who had protected me and saved my live and extented my time here on earth. During that same week, as I was praying, in a vision, I saw a man laying in one of the academic hospitals of Pretoria. During that same week the Lord by the Holy Spirit also gave me a Rhema word, as was given to king Hezekaih, saying: 1 In those days Hezekiah became deadly ill. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz came and said to him: “Thus says the Lord: “Set your house in order, for you shall die; you shall not recover.”” [II Chron. 32:24-26; Isa. 38:1-8.] (2Ki 20:1) Ampl I did not know what it meant, but God had grace upon me and saved my life so that I might complete the task which He has called me to complete, even as Paul the Apostle said: 19 Serving the Lord with all humility in tears and in the midst of adversity (affliction and trials) which befell me, due to the plots of the Jews [against me]; 20 How I did not shrink from telling you anything that was for your benefit and teaching you in public meetings and from house to house, 21 But constantly and earnestly I bore testimony both to Jews and Greeks, urging them to turn in

repentance [that is due] to God and to have faith in our Lord Jesus Christ [that is due Him]. 22 And now, you see, I am going to Jerusalem, bound by the [Holy] Spirit and obligated and compelled by the [convictions of my own] spirit, not knowing what will befall me there 23 Except that the Holy Spirit clearly and emphatically affirms to me in city after city that imprisonment and suffering await me. 24 But none of these things move me; neither do I esteem my life dear to myself, if only I may finish my course with joy and the ministry which I have obtained from [which was entrusted to me by] the Lord Jesus, faithfully to attest to the good news (Gospel) of God's grace (His unmerited favor, spiritual blessing, and mercy). (Act 20:19) Ampl Therefore in conclusion, I say as the apostle Paul said: “I am also bound by the Holy Spirit to complete the task that Jesus Christ had entrusted to me. Bound and led by the Holy Spirit’s timing, we too will go to Jerusalem to complete the task that God had determined for us before the world begun. Please pray for this ministry that God may accomplish through us all that He had predestined, before time begun, must be fulfilled in this generation. If God lead you to sow into this ministry, know that it will only be used for the completion of the work of the ministry to which He had called us on the 9th of May 2001.
