XTREME is used by medium to large companies requiring redundancy for outbound internet access e.g., Thin Clients.WARP is used by companies hosting internal servers, requiring reliability & redundancy for inbound and outbound traffic.MPVPN binds multiple VPN Paths for up to three time the redundancy, and nine time the securityIPVPN binds multiple managed and CPE based VPNs in to one single seamless WAN. No BGP or NNI Programming is neededSymphony: enables corporations to deploy a single web access control device at a centralized location in a hub and spoke setup to manage corporate-wide web access policies, while avoiding link bottlenecking issues and prohibitive costs associated with increasing bandwidth using private lines to meet end-user demand.KOMPRESSOR is a packet based compression device that improves your wide area network performance by increasing speed an average of three times.Spam Police is a network appliance that eliminates junk email and helps protect your network from harmful viruses

What is High Availability ?The ability of define, achieve, and sustain "target availability objectives" across services and/or technologies supported in the network that align with the objectives of the business (i.e. 99.9%, 99.99%, 99.999%?)

Why Improve Network Availability ?The average cost of data center downtime across industries was approximately $7,900 per minute. (A 41 percent increase from the $5,600 in 2010.)For a total data center outage, which had an average recovery time of 119 minutes, average costs were approximately $901,500. (In 2010, it was 134 minutes at about $680,700.)Downtime : Costs Too Much !!!

Downtime Cost Per Minute

According to a study by the Ponemon Institute, the minimum, median, mean and maximum cost per minute of unplanned outages was computed based on input from 41 data centers. In the chart below, the most expensive cost of an unplanned outage is over $11,000 per minute. On average, the cost of an unplanned outage per minute is likely to exceed $5,000 per incident.

Unplanned Downtime Impact on RevenueOn average, businesses lose between $84,000 and $108,000 (US) for every hour of IT system downtime, according to estimates from studies and surveys performed by IT industry analyst firms. In addition, financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing and energy lead the list of industries with a high rate of revenue loss during IT downtime$ 26.5 Billion in revenue is lost to North American businesses each year through IT downtime and data recovery

Main Causes of WAN Downtime

Leading causes of WAN downtime include:Hardware FailuresInternet Service Provider FaultsRouter Operations FailurePhysical Links data connections failure due to cuts or line break in last mile

Leading causes of quality degradation of data lines:Hardware FailuresTraffic Congestion and Competition; a lack of Quality of Service (QoS) and bandwidth managementService provider faults such as programming errors, routing issues, etc.

Reliving the Biggest Online Outages of 2013Google shut down, and Internet traffic dropped by about 40%. Duration: Less than 5 minutes (Aug 16)Amazon.com Internal issues prompted a shutdown, as it displayed an error message. Analysts calculated that it may have resulted in $ 5 million in lost revenue.Duration: 49 Minutes (Jan 31)Healthcare.gov - A data center service outage led to significant downtime for HealthCare.gov, giving critics of the Affordable Care Act plenty to complain about.Duration: More than 16 hours (Oct 27 to 28)OTC Markets Group - A network failure prompted a complete shutdown in trading over-the-counter stocks in the U.S.Duration: More than 5 hours (Nov 7)

FatPipe provides resiliency and continuity for businesses through its wide range of solutions available for Wide Area Network. FatPipe offers solutions that conduct line failover automatically; it is dynamic and works with diverse combination of data lines

High Availability HardwareFatPipe can be setup in a unit-failover scenario, where the backup unit sits at the customer premise adjacent to the primary unit. The two units are in constant communication. The backup unit will automatically take over all traffic if the primary unit becomes unavailable for any reason.

FatPipe A and FatPipe B Keep constant communication between one another. They check each other's status and they share DNS information. FatPipe A is the primary, and by default all traffic to www.webserver.com will be directed to Site A using IP addresses at Site A. If Site A goes down then Site B will take over Authoritative DNS and all traffic to www.webserver.com will be directed to Site B.
