    he FAVI 1500 LCD Projector is one of the most cutting edge projectors onthe market today. The 1500 has reverse imaging capabilities for front and rearprojecting, displays up to a 200 inch picture, and incorporates FAVIs famousIllumiBright Lamp technology.

    Safety

    Please read below before operating:

    Do not look directly into the lens or open the case while the projector is

    running. This could cause severe injury to your eyes.

    Please keep the projector away from liquids. This could cause electricshock and damage your projector.

    Do not attempt to change the lamp while the projector is running or soonafter it has been turned off. If you need to change the lamp please consultthe Lamp Replacement section at the end of this user guide.

    After you turn off the projector please wait 15 minutes before turning itback on. Failing to wait 15 minutes will decrease the life of the lamp and

    the projector.

    Please only use the unit or remote power button to turn off the projector.Do not unplug the unit while its running or turn the unit off using themain power switch. This will cause severe damage to the lamp and theprojector.

    Do not cover any of the projector vents.

    There are protective circuits and alarming devices located inside theprojector. When the internal temperature rises caused by an improper

    environment or blocked vents, the projector will shut down automatically.We strongly recommend you keep the projector in a cool room. This willprolong the overall life of the projector.

    Please keep the projector where the temperature does not exceed 85 F(29.4 C). The LCD inside the projector will develop black spots if left inwarm environments. This heat damage will not be covered underwarranty.

    Please leave the projector in a ventilated environment. Do not encloseyour projector when mounting. This could cause heat damage.

    Avoid using the projector in a high temperature, dusty, and or dirtyenvironment.

    Do not touch the projector lens with your hands. If the projector is leftunused for long periods of time please cover the lens with the capprovided.

    When you are done using the projector and the fan has shut off, pleaseturn off the main power switch and remove the plug. This will avoiddamage from potential voltage waves.

    The projector is composed of many precise electronic and opticalcomponents. Other than changing the lamp there are no parts that shouldbe serviced by the owner. If you attempt to open the projector yourselfany warranty will be null and void. FAVI provides a 6 month warranty onall its projectors. Please contact your FAVI dealer for any warranty claim.

    Quick Start Guide

    Before turning on your projector please read the safety section. Failing to do so couldcause severe injury and damage to the projector.

    Step 1 Connecting

    DVD Player

    Composite Audio/Video Take your red, white, and yellow cable andconnect it to the corresponding output on your DVD player. Thenconnect the free ends to the corresponding colored Inputs on yourprojector.

    S-Video Connect the S-Video cable to the output S-Video on your DVDplayer then connect the free end of the cable to your projector S-VideoInput. Next connect a red and white composite audio cable to the outputof your DVD player and the free end to the red and white inputs on theprojector.

    Regular Cable Box

    Composite Audio/Video Take your red, white, and yellow cableand connect it to the corresponding colored outputs on your cablebox. Then connect the free ends to the corresponding coloredInputs on your projector.

    S-Video Connect your S-Video cable to the S-Video output onthe cable box and connect the free end of the S-Video cable toyour projector S-Video Input. Next connect a red and white

    composite audio cable to the output of the cable box and the freeend to the red and white inputs on your projector.

    Regular Satellite Box

    Composite Audio/Video Connect your red, white, and yellow

    composite cable to the corresponding outputs on your satellitebox. Then connect the free ends to the corresponding coloredinputs on your projector.

    S-Video Connect your S-Video cable to the S-Video output onthe satellite box. Then connect the free end of the cable to yourprojector S-Video input. Next connect a red and white compositeaudio cable to the output of the satellite box and the free ends tothe corresponding composite audio inputs on your projector.

    Laptop / PC

    Your VGA cable should first be connected to your PC/Laptop then to yourprojector. Please ensure the cable is screwed tightly in place on both ends.Now set your source button on the projector to PC or VGA. If at this timeyou do not see your computer screen projecting you may need to consult yourcomputer manual for the correct setting. In most cases the correct keycombination to read a VGA signal is function, f4.

    Step 2 - Turning on Your Projector

    Please first place the projector in the proper viewing position. Next, plug in thepower cord and turn on the main power switch in the rear of the unit. You willnow see the side indicator light blink red. Now, press the top power button.

    Please note once you have turned off the unit you should not attempt to turn theunit back on for 15 minutes. The main power switch should not be turned offduring this cooling period.

    Step 3 - FocusingThe image size can only be adjusted by moving the projector. Once you have thecorrect image size please gently twist the lens to focus. If the image is distortedplease use the keystone correction wheel located on the bottom of the unit.
