Educational programs are available for those who live with dementia, or have a relationship that involves caring for someone with dementia. Discussion topics are focused on understanding the

disease, identifying support services, reducing caregiver stress, navigating the health system, planning for long term care, advance care planning, explaining dementia to youth and children,

understanding changes in behavior, assisting with daily behaviours and dementia research.

Crochet Basics Social - CCRC Wednesdays starting May 7 5:30 -7 Drop-In $5 per session Learn the basics of Crochet, it is more versatile than you think! You will get proficient in stitching, reading and following patterns all while enjoying the company of like-minded friends. Bring a project to work on or to get started with and Grace will assist you with any issues.

Knitting Circle - CCRC Wednesdays starting May 7 7:30 -9 Drop-In $5 per session This is for the beginner, nothing complicated here. Learn to cast on, combine simple knit and purl stitches and cast off. Learn about various yarns, needles, gadgets and following a pattern. Bring a new project or one you are struggling with, Grace will be sure you are knitting away in no time!!

Beading a Beautiful Bracelet - CCRC Monday May 26 5:30 – 7 $15 This flat netting pattern is simple to do and pretty to wear. Supplies are included or bring your favorite seed beads to work with. Grace will guide you to designing a gorgeous bracelet!!

Macramé a Beautiful Bracelet - CCRC Monday June 9 5:30 - 7 $15 Learn the stitches used to create a macramé bracelet with a bead pull for sizing. This simple stitch can be used for a variety of bracelets, let your imagination guide you!!

Conversational French - CCRC Thursdays May 1-June 5 6-8 $100 Parlez-vous Français? In this 6 week course you will learn words and phrases that will assist you in conversations appropriate for a variety of day-to-day settings. Get comfortable with your conversational ability while practicing in a supportive, coaching environment. All ages welcome!

Paper Reconstruction and Engineering - CCRC Tuesday May 6 & 13 6-9 $45 Design and create a beautiful birdhouse at the first class then a “popcorn style” box at the second class. Jewellery Making - CCRC April 28 & April 29 2-4 or 6-8 $30 During these two - 2 hour workshops you will learn to make a necklace, bracelet and earring set. The valuable skills can be used again and again!! $12.00 supply fee is payable at the first class

Through his own life experiences, Wade has become extremely aware of how paying attention to

proper nutrition can change your whole outlook and basic health and wellbeing. These are things

he would like to share. Learn how nutrients affect your body, reading labels, how to eat healthy

and still enjoy food and sooo much more.

Red Cross CPR & First Aid - Level C Full Course $115 / Recertification $80 (1st day only)

Join our 2 day course and learn the most up-to-date techniques to increase survival of injured or

ill friends, family co-workers or clients. We run this course almost monthly so call for more dates!

If you work or volunteer where alcohol is served in Ontario, you must have your Smart Serve

Certification, the Hospitality Industry of Ontario’s Accreditation for the responsible service of

alcohol. This 3 hour workshop covers your rights and responsibilities as a server.

During this 4 hour interactive workshop you will discover your personality type through colours!!

Learn how you work, play and relate to others, and why? Learn to flex to different colours, through

your strengths and weaknesses, in order to create a more harmonious environment.

Learn Modern Jazz and Pop moves while creating a dance routine in a fun, supportive and

interactive class for kids ages 8 to 12. The final class is a show stopper performance for parents

and visitors!! Classes run consecutively for 8 week intervals with new routines learned each

session.

This interactive course is designed to help your child learn the important basics of babysitting .

What to do in an emergency, basic child care and basic medical care are just a part of the

curriculum. Participants must bring a life size doll or stuffed animal so proper procedures can

be practiced. There will be a 1/2 hour lunch break.
