Note from the Editor
With the holidays approaching, food and family go hand in hand. It’s the time of year where everyone gets together and it is usually around the dinner table. There are some great memories surround-ing these moments. And no matter how much you love or loathe taking family portraits, you should try to capture as many moments as possible.
This issue shows a few of the family portraits I have been honored to take and food moments I’ve experienced this year. My love of trying new foods is no secret to those who know me. I mean really, we all have to eat!

The absolute best aspect about living in the Midwest is Fall. Changing of the leaves. The sheer beauty of mother nature. Many of our friends that have grown up in the Midwest have moved away to either Eastcoast, Westcoast or down South. In most cases the weather is better in the winter, but they still crave Fall. Nothing beats it!
Pictured is one of the first families of FBP. First friends, but now we’re connected eternally (sorry Woltings, you’re stuck with me! ;-)

It can be challenging for a family with active children to get together at one time for a portrait session. When finished you will have memories to last a lifetime and can reflect on the experience. Love it when I get to spend time with families I already know. It’s more fun than work!

Food Trucks! The new greatest thing to hit Indianapolis. My husband and I attended the Food Truck Festival on November 4th. This was the first time either of us have eaten off any truck. Among the 19 trucks in attendance, we sampled the every popular West Coast Tacos, Mable on the Move, Scout’s Treat Truck, Rollin Wit Da Roux, Chef Dan’s Southern Comfort and Edward’s Drive-in. We look forward fulfilling our goal of testing every truck in the city.

While attending Snappening’s Launch party, I was introduced to Thomas Caterers of Distinction Cracker Jack Pops among other tasty treats. I have a love for food, especially creative food. When this treat was dipped in liquid nitrogen and you took a bite, smoke was exuding out of places. There are some great images floating around!
