Culture
01What we do spaces, often after hours. Projects
may be a new fitout, modifications of an existing fitout or a strip out and make good project for outgoing tenants or building owners.
FDCnow offers client interface, design management, cost reporting, statutory approvals, construction management and all aspects of project coordination.
FDCnow is dedicated to servicing clients that require prompt and affordable turnkey project delivery. We leverage all the procurement power and multi-skilled benefits of the larger FDC Group for our clients with smaller requirements.
FDC is equally capable in responding to a pre-existing design or to take full design and construction responsibility. The cornerstone of FDC’s success is our focus on client loyalty. The majority of our clients have engaged us on numerous occasions, validating our mission statement that “the more we contribute to your success, the more we contribute to our own”.
Partnerships are an extension of this culture and as such are also important to us. We encourage collaborative, positive working relationships with all team members. Our professional competence and comprehensive ownership enables us to focus on finding solutions rather than problems.
We construct, fitout and refurbish across a broad spectrum of clients and market sectors.
Our construction team delivers new and redeveloped projects to clients ranging from institutional and private landlords to owner occupiers or tenants with specialised requirements. The team deliver commercial, industrial, technology infrastructure, health, leisure and retail projects.
Our interior fitout team delivers interior environments of many kinds, including corporate offices, data centres, education, hospitality, bio/medical, laboratories, childcare and healthcare.
Our refurbishment team regularly delivers both external and internal upgrade works. Scopes include major building services works, compliance upgrades, cosmetic and or environmental enhancements and tenancy ‘make goods’. Our technologies & mechanical team is a specialist group, adding valuable input to all projects and allowing a turnkey solution where feasible. The group have a large portfolio across data centres, base building plant & services, office environments and customised industrial and technology infrastructure. The team can provide design coordination, installation, ongoing service and maintenance support.
Our FDCnow team carry out a variety of minor works for clients (commercial fitout and refurbishment projects up to 1,000sqm) where project values are typically small and works are carried out in occupied

01Where we work
01Our team The FDC Group is a multi-disciplinary
team of construction, fitout and services specialists, who can operate individually or as a turnkey service team. Our national team, including over 600 staff, can be engaged as Construction Manager, Head Contractor, Design & Construct leader or a hybrid role with a commensurate contract.
Our role is largely determined by the client, or their representative and the project scope. We can do as little or as much as you require.
It is our preference and to our clients benefit for FDC to be engaged on a project as early as possible, as we can add value in a variety of ways. We can positively contribute to design development, engineering integration, sustainability planning, material selection, statutory applications, cost planning, value engineering, governance process, specialist consultancies, programming, problem solving and many other challenges that may be faced.
Additionally, we offer support to sustainability objectives, from our Green Star, WELL, LEED and NABERS experience. Our portfolio of sustainable projects, as well as formally rated projects. We are uniquely placed to offer multi-service design and build input.
FDC is privately held, with all shareholders being active managers in the business. There are no external shareholders.

04Corporate Data
04FDC & The Environment requirements are being met. FDC
choose to actively support suppliers and vendors that demonstrably participate in environmental initiatives. As contractors, we will offer cost-effective, environmentally preferable alternatives where these are available. On site, we reuse or resale redundant materials where feasible, particularly during demolition phases. We reduce and recycle our waste wherever possible and ensure that the remainder is disposed of responsibly. We minimise water wastage and use energy efficiently.
As a minimum, at all times we comply with relevant environmental legislation and regulations. This policy will be regularly reviewed and updated where appropriate.
Please see overleaf for a full list of FDC Projects that have obtained formal Green Star, NABERS, WELL or LEED rating.
FDC is certified to Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2015 and we have worked on multiple Green Star, NABERS, WELL and LEED projects.
As Project / Construction Managers, we offer our clients a service that will meet all their ESD requirements and encourage optimum solutions where feasible. Through training and work experience, we continue to develop in our staff the necessary skills to provide best practice in ESD, including, but not limited to, the GBCA’s Green Star Accredited Professional program, WELL Building Standards and LEED accreditation to bolster our certified EMS protocols.
If required, FDC can specifically engage or liaise with an independent Environmental Consultant if the client so desires.
Environmental performance is an important consideration when choosing our subcontractors and we maintain a high level of communication throughout the project to ensure that environmental

Authority, Parsons Brinckerhoff, Gadens Lawyers, Medtronic, 255 Elizabeth Street, Boehringer Ingelheim, Rondo, Viridian, CSC Docklands and Aegis Media. In addition, FDC have received prestigious MBA environmental awards for “Resource Efficiency” and “Best use of Timber” for the Twin Creeks Golf and Country Club development. In addition, we are proud of our record in achieving environmental ratings as built and not as a response to an audit or compliance assessment.
Our own offices in Sydney reflect our endeavour to promote sustainable workplaces. A historic warehouse space was transformed into contemporary offices, prudently but intelligently, with a host of environmental initiatives positively influencing services and energy consumption, plus sensitive selection of products and finishes. The company encourages sound environmental practices on site and in office operations, covering the use of office consumables, energy, water and fossil fuels. Single use products are discouraged and recycling is rewarded.
We print using Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified printers and use soy based inks and recycled stock in the majority of applications. We demonstrate preference for suppliers and providers that share our passion and promote sustainable products and practices, preferring GECA accredited firms and products where feasible.
Whether a construction, refurbishment or interiors project, FDC assemble a knowledgeable team to satisfy the sustainable agenda of the client. As part of our fully Integrated Management System, our Environmental Management System is certified to ISO 14001:2015 and we are members of the Green Building Council (GBCA), with a continuing commitment to training for all key project staff.
FDC are pragmatic in their approach to sustainability and understand environmental initiatives need to be balanced with commercial feasibility. We work with the project team, if so empowered, to develop the design intelligently, seek innovations, source the latest technologies and determine the best way to build, which helps to find that balance. We have been in positions of both positive leadership and passive participation in a range of projects with formal Green Star, NABERS, WELL and/or LEED rating, plus others which have achieved “best practice” for the respective client but without formal rating.
FDC’s experience in such projects include 3M, CSR, PMA, RTA Parramatta, RTA North Sydney, BRI, 50 Pitt Street, AMP, Sydney Ports

Corporate Social Responsibility We believe in the power of one, but also the power of many. We believe, much like our mission statement, that “what goes around, comes around”.
FDC respect our staff, our clients, our partners and the processes which keep our industry on a continual journey of self-improvement. We are grateful for our successes and share the rewards of our energies. We are mindful of our impact on the world and hope to make a positive contribution to its well being and sustainability.
FDC is very active in community and charity work. The FDC Charity Committee (FDC CC) develops an annual plan and administers our corporate efforts in terms of financial aid and project related support. The Committee revolves annually and comprises a wide mix of staff to ensure diverse input. We believe that community participation is not only part of our corporate social responsibility, but that it is hugely satisfying and has a positive impact for our employees. In a world that often seems intent on taking, it is essential to learn why and how to give.
Our contribution to the community includes fundraising, sponsorships, donations, corporate volunteering and pro bono services.
