Feng Shui for the Southern Hemisphere; Roger was the first person to establish an effective protocol to apply feng shui to

the southern hemisphere, including form school applications, and ming gua astro l o g y, ba gua maps, ba zhai techniques, flying

Principles and Origins of Feng Shui – the Foundation Course

Module 1 consists of an exploration of the origins and histor y of Feng Shui, the diff e rent schools of Feng Shui, the

development of Feng Shui’s most powerful tools and an explanation of the underlying principles that allow Feng Shui to work;

with a strong emphasis on “Form School”(one of the 2 original schools of Feng Shui).

You will gain an understanding of the Taoist (daoist) Art of Design and its part in environmental awareness and Solar

A rc h i t e c t u re. You will unravel the complexities of the yin-yang principle and 5 elements theory and learn how to utilise them in

design to enrich life and create the best energetic qualities for health and pro s p e r i t y.

You will gain a practical knowledge of the most valuable Feng Shui applications for home, business, and personal growth.

• The history and origins of Feng Shui

• The dynamics of yin and yang, the Tao, oriental diagnosis, the five elements, and their application; to invigorate your

applying the principles of the ancient “Art/Science” of Feng Shui to our contemporary lives. The class is taught in Roger’s

Module 2

I n t roduction to the Lo pan Compass – The Trigrams and The Feng Shui Ba Gua.

In Module 2 we continue our journey with an introduction to Compass School Feng Shui (the second of the original 2 schools

of Feng Shui). Using the We s t e rn Lopan developed by Roger Green, as a re f e rence, you will be led to an exploration of what is

possible when you combine the 8 compass directions with the dynamics of yin/yang and the 5 elements theory.

With the introduction of the eight directions we follow the evolution of the “Later Heaven Trigrams” to construct the “Bagua”

(an octagonal mandala with infinite uses in Feng Shui). We examine the Lo Shu (the magic square of Feng Shui) as it leads to

the Ming Gua and Ba Zhai methods (the core of “Eight Houses” Feng Shui).

Using these methods you will learn how to draw an energy diagram that illustrates the 4 auspicious and 4 less auspicious

d i rections for the individual (Ming Gua) and for the stru c t u re (Ba Zhai).

• Once you have mastered these two powerful techniques you will be able to make informed and relevant choices for

optimal design, that relate equally to the stru c t u re and the people within. This includes

Module 3

Flying Star techniques – Advanced Lo pan Compass

In Module 3 we enter into the exploration of Flying Star Feng Shui and a more in-depth and advanced study of the Lo pan

C o m p a s s .

The Universe is ever changing and natural influences evolve with the passage of time. Flying Star Feng Shui incorporates the

elements of time and space. It will enable you to trace the pattern of change through the 20 year periods called “ages”. It

makes it possible to access the fortune of a dwelling. With practice, one can learn how to unblock energies that affect the

aspects of prosperity and health in a dwelling.

The Lopan Compass is the essential tool in Classical Feng Shui. Its many rings reveal vital information in assessing a

dwelling or building site and contain a large body of knowledge that encompasses classical Chinese philosophy, numero l o g y

and cosmology. The Chinese Lopan can take a very long time to master since it re q u i res prior learning of the Chinese

characters. The We s t e rn Lopan developed by Roger Green simplifies the process and makes it easier for the western student

to learn and use.

In this module you will learn to:

• Recognise the cycles of time and diff e rent ages.

• C o n s t ruct a flying star chart using a shortcut developed by Roger Green

• Tr a n s f o rm or ‘fly’ in a forw a rd or reverse manner depending on the age and

orientations involved

Flying Stars Feng Shui is the most widely used method used in Asia. Many of our students have also studied Flying Stars

Feng Shui and the Lopan with other teachers. Their re p o rting has been consistent: Roger Green has off e red them the

c l e a rest, and most understandable discourse on the subject, and his methods simplify the processes so that they are tru l y

Module 4

Practical site visits, Revision Exam, Student pro j e c t s

(Module 1,2 and 3 are pre re q u i s i t e s )

In Module 4, students will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and apply everything they have learned in the first

3 modules in a holistic way. They will also have the opportunity to challenge themselves, know what they have mastered and

become aware of the areas that re q u i re further re v i e w. The focus of this module is to build confidence in our student

practitioners and to assure that they are well trained before going out on their own.

The first 3 days of this module are dedicated to practical site visits to diff e rent locations. Students will have the opport u n i t y

to experience the components of actual consultations in a variety of settings; all under Roger Green’s expert superv i s i o n .

The final day is dedicated to the review of the year’s work to date. There is a take- home exam that will be reviewed on day 4.

Students will also have the opportunity to present their Consultation Project to the class. Completing the exam and the

p roject are a re q u i rement for certification.

Our goal is to achieve 100% success rate. Students who are not quite up to speed will be encouraged and given support in

their weaker areas so that they may meet the standard of the school.

Module 5

Feng Shui Horoscope – The ‘4 Pillars’ of Destiny

In this module we enter into the fascinating study of a very import a n t

system based on Taoist Metaphysics and Cosmology. Used extensively by

Feng Shui experts in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, Four Pillars is an

ancient system that reveals aspects of destiny, constitutional dynamics,

and beneficial elements. This sophisticated method is as useful for

deriving important and ver y personal Feng Shui information about Feng

Shui clients as well as clearly revealing aspects of their character. Arm e d

with superior knowledge of their clients and their needs, the practitioner

can optimise the relevance and results of the consultation.

Four pillars is an ancient system of constructing a Horoscope based on

the “Heavenly Stems” and “Earthly Branches” at the hour, day, month and

year of birth. Interpretation is the result of examining the manner in which

the elements and animal archetypes contained in the charts interact with

aspects within the chart as well as conditions in the world.

Four Pillars’ greatest strength for Feng Shui is its ability to accurately

d e t e rmine the Element make-up of the subject. Once the self element is

d e t e rmined beneficial elements can be recognised and the most

a p p ropriate Feng Shui adjustments and design choices can be made.

In this module we combine 4 related areas of study that combined lead us to the creation of Magical Dwellings. Spaces filled

with invigorating energies and forces achieving balance of hard and soft lines, light and dark, bright and muted tones, active

and peaceful places. In essence we follow ebbs and flows of the natural order as it manifests in a dire c t o ry of the best

design practices being utilised and making the most of shapes, colours, formulas and energies existing in nature and leading

to the design of healthful and energised spaces. All segments are aimed at creating a hands-on experience that facilitates

the immediate practical usage of what you learn.

T h e re exists in nature patterns in shapes, colours and mathematics that are the description and content of creation. Wi t h i n

these patterns we encounter the underlying principles that make it possible for our universe to exist! They describe the

movement of energy as it proceeds in its never ending process of transformation.

We will explore the practical uses in spatial design - a fusion of Geomancy, Science and Feng Shui, Integrating Sacre d

G e o m e t ry and architectural harmonies into your work. Ever y culture and society, since the beginning of time has had their

version of a synergistic interrelationship with these pattern s .

We will view case histories and examples of the patterned language of nature, including

geometric shapes, music, art, the human body, landscaping, arc h i t e c t u re inspired by the Cosmic Ord e r, including Feng Shui,

S a c red Geometry and Vastu Shastra (vedic design) Mandalas. Historical as well as cultural perspectives will be entert a i n e d

so as to draw a relationship between primitive indigenous and modern design.

Bau Biologie and Healthy Homes

This segment addresses the biological and health aspects of our dwellings. We will examine strategies to detect and mitigate

unhealthy conditions such as indoor pollution, physical dangers and excessive electro magnetic fields in our living and work

s p a c e s .

The effects of electromagnetic pollution on our immune systems must be taken into account if we are to create homes and

workplaces which keep us healthy rather than making us sick. This course presents the latest information on power lines,

electrical sub-stations, fluorescent lights, mobile phones, televisions, computers, laptops, baby alarms, microwave ovens,

electric blankets, immersion heaters, hi-fi’s, night storage heaters, ionizers, dimmer switches for lights, anglepoise lamps,

clock radios, and a whole host of other electrical appliances used in homes and off i c e s .

We will also explore practices for creating healthy and vibrant indoor environments within our stru c t u res.

L e a rn to test, diagnose, and provide solutions for creating healthier indoor space using

o rganic design principles and materials.

Dowsing and Space Clearing – Using the L Rod and Pendulum

Detecting and understanding invisible energies and forces is an essential part of

achieving optimum design in relation to health and well being.

Dowsing has been utilised in one form or another in every culture and tradition since

the beginning of time and refers to tried and true techniques for tapping into

universal consciousness. These techniques permit the dowser to seek inform a t i o n

and guidance that may not be easily available in any other way and often allows the

gathering of information and answers that reach beyond our rational, intellectual

mind and our physical senses.

You will learn the seemingly magical use of the 2 primary Dowsing tools: the L ro d

and the Pendulum.

We will explore their many uses:

Advanced 4 Pillars and Chart interpretation. Practical field work with Feng Shui Design

(Module 1,2,3,4,5 is the pre re q u i s i t e )

This course will cover advanced methods and many case histories. Emphasis is on interpretation of Four Pillar charts. The

first 2 days has extended class times to cover all of the material at no extra charge. The course is held over 4 days, the first

2 days is devoted to class work with advanced 4 pillars. The second 2 days is practical feng shui consultations and field

work. Extensive information is given in this advanced workbook on advanced 4 pillars, I Ching Astrology and the Zi Wei Dou

Shu methodolgy.

T h e re will also be an exploration of the technique known as Zi Wei Dou Shu or the Stargate method. According to legend, the

i m m o rtal Chen Tuan devised Zi Wei Dou Shu Astrology about 950 AD. It was developed further through the Song dynasty

(960 A.D-1279 A.D). Over the centuries more re c o rds of the Stargate were discovered and kept. This method combines the

wisdom of the I Ching and the Ho Map. It also introduces the element of time based on the cycles of the moon, and the ever-

changing patterns of the five celestial elements. These are all the result of thousands of years of observation by Chinese

sages into the patterns shown in nature, which impact on all living things.

Zi Wei Astrology reveals many aspects of your life, and is extremely popular in the East. It reveals much information about

your luck in the coming years. It also gives insights into your relationships with colleagues, bosses, loved ones, and how your

c h i l d ren will relate to you. It can also indicate whether you can expect an inheritance, what career path is best, and health

issues or ailments to watch out for. Much is revealed when you have the key to this fascinating study.

In this course, you will learn how to apply Zi Wei Astrology for yourself and others as long as you have the necessary birt h

data. You will:
