Pamela A. Carroll Memorial Pavilion
On Sunday, March 31, the Mayor, Commissioners, andWinter Springs residents gathered at Trotwood Park duringthe Tuscawilla Homeowners Association's Family Fun Day tointroduce and dedicate the newly-constructed familypavilion as the "Pamela A. Carroll Memorial Pavilion." Atthe dedication ceremony, the memorial plaque design wasunveiled, and Mayor Charles Lacey spoke of the lateCommissioner Pam Carroll's memory and the legacy thatshe left behind.

Camp Sunshine Summer Camp
Camp Sunshine is the City of Winter Springs'summer day camp program forelementary-aged children. This camp isdesigned to engage your child in activitiesthat not only encourage a great attitudeand teamwork, but also work tostrengthen athleticism, creativity, andleadership skills.

After 13 years, we say "thank you and good luck" to CityManager Kevin Smith
On Monday, April 8, we will say thank you andgood luck to our City Manager Kevin Smith.
Last month, the Mayor & Commission acceptedKevin's resignation. To honor him and hisinvaluable years of leadership, the City is hostinga Farewell Dinner on Tuesday, April 2. For thenewsletter Kevin provided this statement:
"It has been one of the most sincere pleasuresand honors of my life to have had the opportunityto lead this amazing city, and team, of ours asyour City Manager. I truly appreciate everyone'sfaith, trust, and support in allowing me to do so."
Shawn Boyle Appointed Interim City Manager
Shawn Boyle has worked as the City'sFinance & Administrative Services Directorfor over nine years. He has extensiveexperience in financial system management,budget planning, financial reporting, andstrategic analysis as well as comprehensiveinvolvement in utility implementation andconstruction management. After beingappointed, Shawn expressed his gratitude byproviding the following statement:
"I am honored to have been appointed asthe Interim City Manager. It is a greatprivilege to continue to serve the WinterSprings residents in this new role. I’m excitedabout the future and the many greatopportunities ahead for our community."

At the Monday, March 25 City CommissionRegular Meeting, Mayor Charles Laceyreceived a commemorative art poster fromthe Central Florida British Car Club inrecognition of the 35th year of their annualcar show that will be held at Central WindsPark on April 6, 2019.
