    Commodities: A commodity is a good for which thereis demand, but which is supplied without qualitativedifferentiation across a market. Commodities are

    substances that come out of the earth and maintain

    roughly a universal price.

    Examples are petroleum, notebook paper, milk or

    copper.

    Inventory of commodities plays a role in the pricing,

    with low inventories typically leading to more volatilefuture prices and increasing the risk of a "stock-out"
