    Its been a busy week atLMES. Our week kickedoff with a wonderful JumpRope for Heart event.Thank you to CarmenPlemmons and MarcusNellems for coordinatingthis fun activity. We alsoappreciate all of our parentvolunteers.

    GOTR SpringRegistration Girls On The Run is an afterschool program for 3rd-5thgrade girls. This will be thelast time our current 4th and5th grade girls will be ableto participate with GOTR atLMES. It is a 12 week pro-gram that meets twice aweek. The program is de-signed to develop self-esteem while enjoying run-ning with friends. GOTRmeets Monday and Wednes-

    days (except early releasedays) from Feb. 9-April 29.They end the season by

    on Tuesdays and Thursdaysduring the spring season(except early release days).They meet directly after

    school until 3:45 p.m.

    Run Hard registrationopened Feb.1st. TheRun Hard season willstart Tuesday March10th and end April30th. The end of seasonRun Hard 5K willbe May 2nd. For more spe-cific information and to signup go to www.runhard.org

    Tuesday was the party of theyear! Every student at LMEScelebrated having a healthyheart by participating in ourannual JRFH. The studentsentered the gym carryingposters, wearing red andready to jump rope in supportof the American Heart Asso-ciation.

    The day was a success be-cause of the our supportiveLMES family. Thank you forthe parents that volunteeredduring the day.
