The first high resolution UV flatbed with roll-to-roll option

The Acuity HD 2504 offers you the latest breakthrough in wide format UV digital imaging technology. Specifically designed for print applications requiring the finest detail, eg. high resolution images, the Acuity HD 2504 delivers both rigid and flexible point-of-purchase signage that holds up visually, even at extremely close viewing.

At the heart of the Acuity HD 2504 is a new imaging technology that enables each printhead to produce variable size dots as opposed to traditional fixed-size droplets. The printer’s ability to jet droplets as fine as 6 picolitres produces sharp, precise images with smoother transitions and quarter tones: while jetting larger droplets up to 42 picolitres delivers denser, more uniform solid image areas.

The result is image quality usually only seen at resolutions of 1200 dpi or higher, with crisper, more legible type (as low as 6 pt), smoother skin tones, finer line detail, and the best solid colour coverage of any printer in its class.

In addition, variable drop technology uses up to 35 % less ink than fixed droplet, six colour printers. The Acuity HD 2504 offers incredible value and continues to do so throughout its production life.

Variable droplet imaging technologyThis results in excellent print quality and a superior ink economy over six-colour printing systems. The Acuity HD 2504 can produce droplets of different volumes ranging from 6 to 42 picolitres. This four-colour CMYK system uses 35 % less ink than a six-colour system and with better or equivalent print results.

Precise printing - Rigid mediaThe vacuum table holds the rigid media stationary while printing, enabling you to print regular and precut substrates or even unusual items like pre-stretched canvas, doors, ceiling tiles, etc. The micron accuracy of the system allows for perfect double-sided registration or overprinting to increase ink density. This means backlit graphics have the vividness and saturation previously only possible with photographic imaging.

Precise printing - Flexible mediaThe roll option is designed to maximise the application range by providing the same near photo realistic print quality onto flexible media up to 2.2 m wide. Simple and easy to use, the roll system can be fitted as standard or retro fitted as an upgrade.

Enhanced productivity at every stage of productionThe Acuity HD 2504 flatbed and roll-to-roll UV inkjet printer provides near photo realistic quality onto a wide variety of rigid and flexible media. Dedicated flatbed design employs a zoned vacuum table to hold all types of media, including irregularly shaped or uneven surfaced materials. This ensures accurate registration even on multiple passes. In addition, the Acuity HD 2504 prints edge-to-edge, saving time and labour in finishing. The Acuity roll-to-roll option increases the media range even further to include vinyl, paper, backlit film, textiles and banner PVC without effecting the rigid printing option and workflow.

Ink systemThe UV curable ink is packed in two-litre ink bags to minimise ink changes. The system includes an intelligent sensor to alert the operator of ink change requirements before actually running out. It also ensures correct ink colour installation. The ink change system takes only seconds to complete with minimum waste and operator intervention.

white space skippingThe Acuity HD 2504 automatically skips large unprinted areas, increasing printer speed.

Optimized print performance using Uvijet UV curing inksUsing FUJIFILM Sericol’s unique Micro-V ultrafine dispersion technology to maximise pigment loading, the Uvijet range of UV curing inks delivers strong vibrant, lightfast colours.

Environmentally-friendly UV curable processSpecifically formulated for the Acuity HD 2504 printerExcellent chemical and abrasion resistanceExceptionally wide adhesion range*

* For certain applications the use of a Uvijet adhesion promoter is recommended.
