Do I have the pre-requisites for this program?To be eligible for a module, students must meet the admission requirements as stated on the Western Academic Calendar. This ensures student's have the background required to be successful later in the module.

If you are not meeting the pre-requisites for admission, you could still select this as your first choice on your Intent to Register - this helps us see where you want to go, and guide you on your pathway to success.

How to Choose which Module is Best For You• Check the course descriptions in the

academic calendar or on Brescia’s website

• Talk to your Academic Advisor

• Do you qualify for the program (grades, pre-requisites, etc)?

• Make a completion plan

• Talk to Faculty and School Chairs – they know their modules inside and out!

• Make a Career Advising appointment with the Student Life Centre to determine if your interest, abilities and goals match with your intended program

What is a Module?

• The module(s) you choose will determine the courses that you will be required to complete within your degree, as well as the average you need to maintain for graduation

• Once you complete your first year (5.0 1000-level courses), you will have 15.0 (Honors/4-Year) or 10.0 (3-Year) credits left to complete your degree

Common Degree Planning Errors to Avoid

• Not meeting “Residency Requirements” – must have 3.0 credits each year at Brescia

• Taking inappropriate 2000-2999 levels (check specific modular requirements!)

• Taking too many first year courses (maximum 7.0 can be counted towards your degree!)

• Not taking enough first year courses

• Not fulfilling Breadth Requirements – need 1.0 of A, B & C

• Missing Essay Requirements – 2.0 total, minimum 1.0 of which must be 2000-level +

• Taking courses that are anti-requisites (read course descriptions carefully!)

• Overloading – you may only enroll in a max of 5 classes per term

• Not making up for failed/dropped courses
