Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time
In the Gospel today, Jesus continues his healing ministry by curing a
leper. Who are those who are considered “unclean” in our society
today? Who are those that must remain separated from the communi-
ty? They might be those coming out of jails, or those suffering from
mental illness. They might be suffering from a disease that we fear –
like Ebola or AIDS. They might be undocumented immigrants who
fear that their families might be deported and torn apart. They might
be the poor just struggling to keep their lives together. How can we
continue the ministry of Jesus today by reaching out to those who feel
rejected and cast out of society?
dad?

Volunteer of the month-January
Congrats to Sandy Mason. She is nominated because
she reflects the true spirit of “unsung heroes”. She
donates and cooks all the taco soups for the Christ-
mas Stroll every year. She cooks and serves soup for
Pastor Nava’s “Soup Kitchen”. She leads the annual
turkey dinner that supports the efforts by the Family
Altar Society in providing needs for the church. She
is very active in the AFAS ministry. She is a Eucharistic minister as
well.
Voluntario del mes-Enero
Felicitaciones a Sandy Mason.
