Children move at their own pace and discover their own areas of interest through free play. Always allow for many opportunities for your child to choose how to play, what to play and when to play. Follow your child's lead and join in to his/her play as often as possible in order to give your child the best opportunity to develop to his/her full potential.

Mrs. Claudia Ruby's love for dance started when she was a young child of 6 years old, when her mother would take her and her sister to dance class. Those early lessons would take Ruby from her home in Bolivia all the way to the Soviet Union to the National Ballet School of the Ukraine where she graduated and moved into the professional world of ballet. Her ambitions to become an educator later lead her to Penn State University where she obtained a BS in Elementary Education. Returning home in 1993, she founded what is now the largest dance Performing Art Center in La Paz, Bolivia. This last December marked its 20-year celebration.

Mrs. Ruby and her family moved to Tampa in 1999 where she continued her education at University of South Florida pursuing a BA in Dance Education. Mrs. Ruby has taught for Hillsborough County Public Schools as well as various dance and gymnastic studios. This past August 2013 she open a new after school dance program in Riverview called "Ruby Dance Center".

The vision for opening Ruby Dance Center was to create an environment in which children can learn how to express themselves through dance and provide essential training for talented students with professional aptitudes. One of the unique qualities at Ruby Dance Center is that the staff are professional educators, each with more than 20 years experience working with children. "It is extremely important that the children that are entrusted to us are well taken care off by qualified teachers" Mrs. Ruby points out.
