Kokopelli Notes Happy February, Spouses! 2015 is well underway! I hope everyone enjoyed the “Let’s Make A Deal” Bunco event in January! I had a blast! New Board Nominations - have you ever considered becoming more involved in the LOSC? I know I did last fall and I have simply loved being a part of this Board! There are positions of all levels of respon- sibility! If you or someone you know is considering a position, please let me know! I can happily introduce them to the current chair so they can get a better idea of what that position entails. I can also help give them an overview of the LOSC and answer any general questions they may have about commitments or other concerns. I have heard some grumblings about the cost of our socials and I wanted to address these ASAP. We worked very hard to negotiate a set cost with Club 56 for all of our socials. It will always be $13 for Club 56 Members and $15 for Non-members. That cost will always provide us with a menu that includes some set items such as dessert and self- serve coffee service as well as some variables based on the menu that social would like to serve. That cost doesn’t just cover the food. Keep in mind, this includes labor, linens, and other event costs. The Club has been working extremely hard to make each of our events a great success and has always been flexible as our menus change with each event. I ask that we keep these thought in mind and perhaps share any unfavorable feedback with our Programs Chairs, Gail Mondul and Stephanie Tellefsen, or myself. Ok, I will now step off the soapbox! ;) Dust off those dancing shoes - our February event is Dancing with the Stars! We will have dance instructors from the Fred Astaire dance company on hand to teach us some smooth moves on the dance floor. I am betting it will be super fun! Hope to see you all there! 2015 is well underway! I hope everyone enjoyed the “Let’s Make A Deal” Bunco event in January! I had a blast!

New Board Nominations - have you ever considered becoming more involved in the LOSC? I know I did last fall and I have simply loved being a part of this Board! There are positions of all levels of respon-sibility!

That cost will always provide us with a menu that includes some set items such as dessert and self-serve coffee service as well as some variables based on the menu that social would like to serve. Ok, I will now step off the soapbox! ;)

Dust off those dancing shoes - our February event is Dancing with the Stars! We will have dance instructors from the Fred Astaire dance company on hand to teach us some smooth moves on the dance floor. I am betting it will be super fun!

Hope to see you all there!
