SSome people rate or value themselves according tothe amount of money they have. So, always, they’re

punching the calculator to know their financial worth. If yourvalue is according to some money, then you’re putting yourlife at some great risk. How can you subject your life to theuncertain and ever unstable monetary system of the world?

Your true value is the Word of God that’s in your spirit.You’ve got to know and have the Word in you. With theWord in you, your success is assured no matter what happensaround you. You’ll stay afloat like the ark of Noah that rosehigher and higher as it rained and the waters increased, sothat the same water that drowned others, buoyed him up. Thisshows that the circumstances responsible for sinking people’sbusinesses and careers today will be for your promotion!

What you need to live victoriously at every count inthese latter days is the deposit of God’s Word in your spirit. Ifyou deposit the Word in your spirit long enough, others willtake notice of you and ask, “What manner of man is this?”because you’ll literally be “walking on water.” No matter thesituation, you stay above only.

Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin (1 John 1:7).

TTo walk in the light is to walk in the light of God’sWord. It means to walk in the light of those things

that are consistent with God’s provisions for the new creationas revealed by the Word. If we’re not walking in the light,there’s no fellowship because light is inconsistent withdarkness.

The Word reveals, for example, that as new creations,we have justification. You’re to walk in the light of yourjustification. You’ve been made the righteousness of God inChrist Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). You’re to walk in the light ofyour righteousness. To walk in the light of your righteousnessmeans that you’re walking in consistency with what Godthinks; His light about righteousness.

God’s light about righteousness is that, it’s a gift that’simparted into anyone who believes in Jesus Christ. So, youcan say, “Father, I dwell in your light; in your light,righteousness is a gift that’s given to everyone who believesin Jesus Christ; therefore, I have that gift in the Name of Jesus.I am righteous. Hallelujah.” That’s walking in His light.

The carnal man however walks by his senses. He says,“I just don’t feel like God is with me today; my prayers aren’teven going high enough. Oh Father, I’m struggling.” Yousee, he contradicts the Word of God by declaring himself astruggler, not conscious that the Bible says those who haveentered into God’s rest have ceased from their struggles(Hebrews 4:10). He interprets his life through his own senses,and God‘s Word has nothing to do with your senses.

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: butthis one thing I do, forgetting those things which are

CConsider a classroom of students studying the samecourse. Among them, some are reading very hard,

so they don’t fail the exams. Perhaps they had failed in someprevious exams. Then you have these other students who arereading very hard as well, because they want to haveexcellent grades. They want to win a prize.

Though all these students are reading hard, theirmotivations are different. And this is how it is in life. Thatsomeone is working so hard doesn’t mean he’s in the rightdirection. It all depends on what his inspiration is. You shouldalways be inspired by the dream of success, and not thefear of failure. Refuse to be haunted by past mistakes; rather,be challenged by the opportunity of a greater future. Manywhine and grumble about their past, sorrowing about theirpast, wondering what to do about their past, instead oflooking at the future with the hope and the opportunities itpresents for greater success.

Irrespective of the challenges or shortcomingsexperienced in the past, be inspired by the joy of winning. Seethe bright and glorious future ahead. Get into the New Yearwith this mind-set. IIn the above scripture, God was giving someinstructions to the children of Israel on what they

should do when they harvest their grains. He said to them,“..Thou“..Thou shaltshalt notnot whollywholly reapreap thethe cornerscorners ofof thythy field,field, neitherneithershaltshalt thouthou gathergather thethe gleaningsgleanings ofof thythy harvest.”harvest.” In other words,“Don’t harvest everything; don’t gather the gleanings.” Hedidn’t want them scratching for the leftovers; and it was a law.They were to leave some in the field, for the poor, thefatherless, and the widows.

There’re people who don’t know why they haven’tmade much progress in their lives. Some of them have prayedand prayed, yet no change. But you see, God doesn’tfellowship with a man who has a mentality of poverty. There’sa mentality of prosperity and there’s a mentality of poverty.For instance, some people would use their clothes until thoseclothes are torn to tatters. How sad! It could be any personalbelonging; they use it until it’s not good enough to be givento someone else. Such a mentality attracts poverty, and it haskept many in a despicable state for a long time.

Whatever God blesses you with, no matter how smallor big it is, when you use it, let it be good enough forsomeone else. When you give such things to others, be surethey’re in an excellent state to be used with dignity. That’s the

way to live. There should never be anything that you own thatyou can’t give out.

God wants you to always be a blessing to others whoaren’t as blessed as you are. There’re things you haven’tused in a long while, yet you’re keeping them. That’s not aprosperity attitude. Do the Word; get into your closet andsearch out belongings you’ve piled up and probably wouldn’teven use for another one or two years. Give them out, andwatch your life take an upward dive.

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a goodcourage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the

TThe scripture above was God’s message to Joshua, ashe led the children of Israel through the wilderness.

God said to him, “Be not afraid.” Why? Because there werefrightful experiences in his way. But God said, “Be not afraid.”Then He took it further; He said, “…neither be thoudismayed.” When things begin to look like you’ve beendefeated, don’t be dismayed, for the Lord your God is withyou. What an assurance!

Many years ago, I heard a story that’s remainedindelibly on my mind. A Pastor told a story of how God visiteda certain man in a vision. As he and the Lord walked together,the Lord assured him “I am with you no matter how difficultthe journey may be.” Though he couldn’t see the Lord, hecould see the footprints. As they journeyed, there were twodifferent footprints so, he was sure the Lord was with him.Every now and then, he looked and saw the Lord’s footprints,and kept going.

At a point, things got tougher and harder. Then helooked, but this time saw only one footprint! He cried andsaid, “Lord, where are you? Things are worse here! How couldyou leave me now that I need you the most?” Then he heardthe voice of God, “I’m still here.” But the man said, “No, I wasseeing your footprints all along; but you’ve stopped. All I seenow are my footprints.” Then God said, “No, the footprintsthat you see aren’t your footprints; they’re mine, because I’mnow carrying you.”

He Never Leaves You

What a soul-stirring response from the Lord! Howloving our God is! Even when we’re not aware, and it lookslike He’s left us, He’s there. The man was crying because hethought he was alone. But God was carrying him. He has said,“…I“…I willwill nevernever leaveleave thee,thee, nornor forsakeforsake thee”thee” (Hebrews 13:5).At the most difficult part of the journey, He’ll carry you.

Those times you look around and don’t seem to findany sign of His presence, the Lord is there with you. He’llnever leave you nor forsake you; even when everyone elsedeserts you, He’s always with you. So, be encouraged; bestrengthened, and be full of joy. The Lord your God is withyou, and He lives in you. You’re never alone!

SSome Christians can memorise and quote manyscriptures off by heart, which is commendable.

Whereas, some others erroneously assume that memorisingscriptures is no longer fashionable. With the introduction ofdifferent electronic Bibles and Bible software where scripturescan be located at the click or push of a button, manyChristians have relegated the importance of memorisingscriptures in personal Bible study. This ought not to be so.

Learning to memorise scriptures is a very fundamentalpart of good Christian growth and development. Even thoughyou have easy access to electronic Bible reference materials,you must exercise your mind to retain the Word of God. Yourmind is the doorway to your spirit (2 Corinthians 4:4). TheWord of God has to be in your consciousness to produceresults in your life.

When you have read your Bible, pick out certain versesand recite them by heart. This is the beginning of meditation,and the more you do this, the more the Word will get intoyour spirit. The same way you took time to learn andmemorise things in school, you have to discipline your mindto retain scriptures. You can set a target for yourself for therest of the year, to memorize at least one scripture per day,and measure your progress in it. You’d be amazed at the

But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost. For a greatdoor and effectual is opened unto me, and there are

many adversaries (1 Corinthians 16:8-9).

TThe Apostle Paul, in the scripture aboveacknowledged that a great and effectual window of

opportunity was open to him for ministry in Ephesus.Howbeit, it was an opportunity in the midst of adversities. Hewas sensitive enough in his spirit not to see the opportunityalone; he saw the many adversaries as well. It’s like finding atreasure amongst thorns and thistles; and in a sense, that’s atrap. If you must take that treasure, you must then know whatto do with the adversaries.

The adversaries that Paul referred to weren’t justnegligible enemies; they were ferocious! When he recountedhis experience later, he said, “For“For wewe wouldwould not,not, brethren,brethren,havehave youyou ignorantignorant ofof ourour troubletrouble whichwhich camecame toto usus inin Asia,Asia,thatthat wewe werewere pressedpressed outout ofof measure,measure, aboveabove strength,strength,insomuchinsomuch thatthat wewe despaireddespaired eveneven ofof life”life” (2 Corinthians 1:8).Then in 1 Corinthians 15:32, he said he fought with beasts inEphesus: “If“If afterafter thethe mannermanner ofof menmen II havehave foughtfought withwith beastsbeastsatat Ephesus….”Ephesus….”

The experience was life-threatening, but by yielding tothe leading and guidance of the Spirit, he prevailed. Paulpreached and taught the Word with such intensity andpassion in Ephesus, and the Bible records specifically that theWord of God grew mightily in Ephesus, and prevailed (Acts19:20). There’s much for us to learn in our Christian walk tohelp us achieve the things God has planned for us, and to live

the life of glory and victory that He’s given us. But you’ve gotto follow the leading of the Holy Spirit at all times. He gave usthe Holy Spirit to guide us in all of life’s affairs.

Before you take up that job, or go into that business,or take that major step, let Him guide you and show youthe future of whatever you’re getting into. Pray in tonguesfervently, because lurking around that treasure could beadversities. But as you fellowship with the Spirit, He’ll guideyou to identify possible adversities—pitfalls, barricades, ortroubles—and navigate you through them triumphantly.

EEverything you do or sacrifice for the sake of theGospel isn’t only recorded (Malachi 3:16), the Lord

also rewards you for it. So, you can imagine my joy decadesago, when the Lord showed me our theme verse. I had beentold I was wasting my time; I had been told I was being foolishfor preaching the Gospel and holding crusades in remotevillages. I wondered if God really cared about what I wasdoing, but then I saw this verse and wept for joy. I praised,screamed, worshipped and made a jig for joy.

There’re times you’re about the Lord’s work and thereseem to be persecutions from all angles. And then it’s asthough you’re wasting your time, and wasting your life; atsuch times, always remember that God isn’t unrighteous toforget your work and labour of love. He’ll reward you forall that you do, and have done, in the propagation of theGospel. He knows and will reward you for all your prayers forsouls to be saved, your financial contributions to the spreadof the Gospel, your personal evangelical efforts to win soulsto Christ, and all your sacrifices.

What sacrifices have you made for Christ and theGospel? It could be your time, money, family, friends andrelationships you gave up, whatever it is, God hasn’tforgotten. AAs a child of God, it’s important to know that no one,but the Holy Spirit, can and will lead you into your

destiny of greatness. Of course, the Lord can use people tobless you; but don’t make the mistake of thinking such peoplecan only be found in the “palaces” or high places of life.

Think about it: Where was Joseph when he met theman that introduced him to Pharaoh, and ultimately, hisdestiny in Egypt? He was in prison! The reason God sent himto the prison was because the man who was to introducehim to Pharaoh would be coming there too. His life wasprogrammed to go that way. In the same way, God hasprogrammed your life. Your life has been predetermined andprearranged by God. Yours is to follow the guidance andleading of the Holy Spirit.

Wherever God has placed you, there’s greatness therefor you. Don’t look in the wrong places for help. TThis verse of scripture is quite instructive; it saysalthough Jesus was rich, He made Himself poor, so

that you, through His poverty might be made rich. Someonemay say, “Oh yes! He became poor for us spiritually”; no.Paul wasn’t talking about spiritual riches and spiritual poverty,because Jesus never became any less the Son of God in Hisphysical body than He was in the bosom of the Father. Whenyou study the entire chapter in context, you’d understand thatHe was talking about financial and material prosperity.

For our sake, He laid down His reputation, His riches,His wealth; He laid down everything and identified Himselfwith us, and took our place. He became us. Everything Hedid was for your sake. He wasn’t poor, but He became poorfor your sake. In the same way, you weren’t rich, but nowthrough Him, you’ve been made rich, just as in Him you’vebeen made righteous. Until you understand this revelation,you’ll never enter into your wealthy place in God.

Your trust shouldn’t be in the government, the societyor in the job that you do. Your trust shouldn’t be in anybanking reform. Your trust has to be in the Word; in whomand what Christ has made you. PProgress means advancement; moving forward.Progress must be measurable, otherwise, it’s not

progress. You must have goals; if you don’t have definitegoals, you may not be able to really measure your progress.

In making progress there’re certain things you mustconsider. First, locate your present position in that area ofyour life in which you desire to make progress. Is it in yourhealth, finances, job, business, or your family? Whatever it is,locate your present position. Secondly, envision what the nextlevel will be for you.

Thirdly, determine what you must do to get to yournext level. That means your input in terms of effort, time,and resources. Resources could refer to money, materials,information, etc. Fourthly and finally, take action; do what youneed to do to get you the results you want. Otherwise, yourvisions, goals and aspirations will fail and come to nothing.

I’m sure you already have clear-cut goals for the year;stay focused on your goals. Every now and then, pray in theHoly Ghost about your goals; this is so important, becauseit’ll guarantee your progress in achieving them. If as a Christian, you wish to see the grace of Godproduce results for you, then order must be a vital factorin your life. There has to be order in your heart. Sometimes, we tell people, “Put God first in yourendeavours,” and some don’t understand what that means.Putting God first means putting His Word first; what doesGod think? What does He want? You put Him first; that’sorder.

Also, giving priority to prayer and study of the Wordof God in your life, is order. There’re many people who haveexpectations for a new year when it begins. As it is now, theyear is still young, and many are excited about the year, andwe all should be. But, if at the end of the year, you’re going tohave testimonies, and experience the blessings of the Spirit asHe has said, you’ve got to put things in order.

There should be a compulsion in your heart to be inchurch when you should. Cultivate that personal discipline.God says it’s important so it must be to you too. WWhen God wanted to train and raise the children ofIsrael after bringing them out of Egypt, He used

Moses. Why? The answer is simple: He needed somebodywith a different mentality from what the children of Israel had.The children of Israel had the slave mentality, but Moses wasdifferent. He had been a prince in Pharaoh’s palace. Youcouldn’t take that away from him. Even though he hadbecome a shepherd in the desert, he was a prince inside him;his mind-set was that of a prince.

When he saw the strange sight of a bush burning,and yet the thicket wasn’t consumed, he didn’t run awayterrified. Instead, he said, “...I“...I willwill nownow turnturn aside,aside, andand seeseethisthis greatgreat sight,sight, whywhy thethe bushbush isis notnot burnt”burnt” (Exodus 3:3). Hewas fearless. Two other Bible characters after Moses, with asimilar mind-set are Joshua and Caleb. They had the mentalityof champions; they thought as victors. Read again the Spirit’scommendation of Caleb in our opening verse.

When they were sent to go spy out the land God hadpromised the children of Israel, they didn’t deny that therewere giants in the land. Howbeit, they saw the giants as“bread.” Their mentality was different. Whereas the other tenspies gave a faithless response when asked to describe theland, Joshua’s and Caleb’s response was from a standpoint offaith, inspired by a mind-set of victory. This is what the Wordof God does in your life; it gives you a different mind-set; thementality of victory and excellence.

The Word of God causes you to think and act right,because it’s the wisdom of God; it’s a force that propels youto do the will of God. The Word of God produces in youthe wisdom (Greek: “Phronesis”) of the righteous (Luke 1:17).Some Christians, even though they’ve been made righteous,aren’t functioning with the wisdom of the righteous. Theyhave a “carry-over” from the world. And that’s been theirbane.

Don’t think sickness; don’t think poverty; renew yourmind with the Word, and keep declaring what God saysabout you, irrespective of circumstances. That’s the wisdomof the righteous!

For example, in times of provocations, when you’reoffended, who stands up in you? You ought to let Christ standup in you. Remember, as a new creation in Christ, you don’thave two natures; you have only one: the Christ-nature. Yourrecreated human spirit is made in the image and likeness ofChrist. Therefore, in all that you do, and at all times, refuseto yield to the flesh; rather, respond from your Christ-nature,with the fruit of the recreated spirit.

When you talk, let Christ be heard. Let His love emitand effuse from your words and actions. Let His wisdom andrighteousness overwhelm the hearts of your hearers as youspeak only gracious and lifting words; let Him talk throughyou. Let Him see through your eyes. Let Him work with yourhands.

TThe Word of God is truth, irrespective of what yourexperiences might be. The Word never fails.

There’re people who say they pray, but never receiveanswers. Some others lament that they gave so much to God,but never received much in return. There’re also those whosay, “I’ve been speaking the Word concerning my healing forsuch a long time, yet I’m sick.” Now, if any of these applies toyou, then here’s something you should know: Yourexperience should never affect your confidence in the Word.

As you grow in the knowledge of the Word, and keepthe Word in your mouth, no circumstance can successfullystand against you. Just because it’s been several days andthere’s still no change as you expect, doesn’t mean it’s failing.The Word never fails.

You must understand that Christian growth andmaturity are progressive. Acting your faith to get results isn’tsomething you become perfect in at once; it gets better andeasier as you keep at it. The reason for this has to do withyour limited knowledge at the time, meaning, you don’t knowenough or there’s too much you don’t know on the subjectyou’re dealing with. What you’re supposed to do is to keepgoing for the Word, and keep exercising your faith. Keepstrengthening your faith with the Word.

For instance, at a certain time in your life, you mighthave tried to use your faith to get a certain amount of money,

but it didn’t quite work. Don’t be discouraged; grow yourfaith to the level where it can produce that amount when youwant it! That’s how you train yourself in the faith-life. Nevergive up on the Word. Stand your ground, and be confident inits ability to prevail over circumstances and put you over allthe time.

What mattersto God is how effective you are in using your office topromote His righteousness. He wants your passion for theGospel, for which He sent His Son to die.

Everywhere you are, you ought to be busy for the Lord.If you stand for Him, He’ll stand for you. The Apostle Paul,in our opening verse, was commending the commitmentof Titus and others who were with him on his missionaryjourneys. Paul was proud of their commitment to the Gospel.He said, “…they“…they areare thethe messengersmessengers ofof thethe churches,churches, andand thethegloryglory ofof Christ.”Christ.” What a testimony! They were the apostles ofthe churches, sent on missionary activities.

It makes no difference where you are, and what youdo; see yourself as a sent one; a minister of the Gospel. Standfor the Lord. Preach the Gospel. Minister the Word to thosein your world. They’re worried about the children’sschool fees, worried about their job, worried about the stateof their health, worried about their spouses, and worriedabout so many things. That’s not the life of a Christian.

The Christian has been brought into a life of rest, fullof joy and glory. YYour reaction to challenges and adversities of life willbe to the extent of the Word of God you have

inside you; the reservoir of the Word that’s stored up in yourspirit. In the day of crisis, you’re to pull from that reservoir ofthe Word in you; meaning that your response would beready-made, programmed ahead by the Word.

Let’s take for instance that a situation has arisen atwork or in your finances or your health. What would yourreaction be? Your reaction would be entirely based on whatyou’ve stored in your reservoir.

If you’ve programmed yourself through the years withthe Word, to understand, that come what may, greater isHe that’s in you than he that’s in the world, there’d be noroom for fear. If you’ve programmed yourself to understandthat you’re a partaker of the divine nature; an associate ofthe God-kind, you’d not be afraid. Rather, you’d begin toprophesy and declare the Word in and over that situation.

The Word of God that you’ve learnt, including the oneyou’re learning right now, isn’t for nothing. It’ll put you overin the day of trouble. That’s why the Word shouldn’t only bein your head; allow it to permeate every fibre of your being,every bone of your body! Keep it in your heart and in yourmouth always.

TThe literal translation of the word “reign” in the verseabove is taken from the root word “Basileuo”

(Greek), and it means to “king” or “be king.” It’s the verb ofkingship. So, you could actually say, “They which receiveabundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall‘king’ or ‘be kings’ in life.” They’re going to carry out thefunctions of a king; they’ll reign and rule in life. That meansyou have an extraordinary authority.

What you have to do is to learn about the authorityyou have. What’s the implication and extent of thisextraordinary authority? What does this give you? It bestowson you the gift of righteousness; righteousness makes usmasters. The Bible says the law came by Moses, but grace andtruth came by Jesus Christ (John 1:17). He came with grace,and brought us righteousness as a gift. So, when you hear theGospel and believe in Jesus Christ, you become the recipientand expression of His righteousness.

Jesus came to reveal and demonstrate therighteousness of the Father. Now, He gives you that samenature, ability, and authority to carry on His ministry, to revealand demonstrate His righteousness. He gave you theauthority to do it. You have the ability to unveil the will,purpose and character of your heavenly Father. What a life!

No wonder He said in John 20:23, “Whose“Whose soeversoever sinssinsyeye remit,remit, theythey areare remittedremitted untounto them;them; andand whosewhose soeversoever sinssinsyeye retain,retain, theythey areare retained.”retained.” He’s made you the dispenser

Whichmeans since we’re justified, acquitted, declared righteous andhave right standing with God by faith, we have peace withHim through our Lord Jesus Christ. In other words, there’sno enmity between you and God; the death, burial andresurrection of Jesus Christ has set you at one with God.That’s what the word “peace” or its Greek equivalent“eirene,” means. It’s “to be set at one again,” to be brought

into harmony, concord, safety, felicity, and security with God.There’s no need for you to be afraid that one day, God willrecall all your wrongs and punish you as a result. No. You’vecome home to Him; you’re now at rest in Him throughChrist Jesus. In the underlined portion of the verse above, the word“for” means because or whenever. In other words, you shallbe far from oppression because you shall not fear. Whywill you not fear? Because the effect of righteousness hasproduced quietness, assurance, and confidence in youforever; it has secured you in Christ. With this understanding, when you face tests, trials,and persecutions, when the fierce storms and pressures of lifebillow against you, refuse to be moved, because you’re morethan a conqueror. Your testimony is assured, because you’rea victor in Christ Jesus. Nothing can overwhelm you, becausethe greater One lives in you and He causes you to triumphalways, and in every place.

It doesn’t matter how much news of doom and gloomis propagated through the media; don’t panic! The hardship,harsh economic conditions, wickedness, and terror in theworld are not set against you, because you’re not of thisworld. You belong to Christ. Christ is your country. And inChrist, you’re triumphant all the way! Nothing can hinder orlimit your victory, progress, and success.

TThere’re still many who don’t know who Jesus reallyis; to them, He’s a great religious leader. But Jesus

isn’t a mere religious leader or reformist; He’s Himself God.You have to study the Word of God to discover this. In John5:39, He said, ‘search the Scriptures, for they testify of me.’The Scriptures testify of Jesus as Deity; He’s co-equal withGod. John 1:1 says, “In“In thethe beginningbeginning waswas thethe Word,Word, andand thetheWordWord waswas withwith God,God, andand thethe WordWord waswas God.”God.” This is talkingabout Jesus; He’s the living and incarnate Word.

A certain preacher told the story of a professor whocame to his church on a Sunday morning. After the sermon,the professor came to greet him, and he asked the professor,“I hope you enjoyed the service?” The professor replied, “YesI did, but I don’t really believe the things you preached.”Surprised, the preacher asked, “Which amongst the things Isaid was difficult for you to accept?” “Well, about everything,”replied the professor.

Then the preacher said to him, “Go and study the Biblefor yourself; after you’ve read through, come back and let’sdiscuss.” The man took the Bible home and spent severalweeks reading the Scriptures. After reading from Genesisto Revelation, he made an appointment to see the Pastoragain. When they met this time, before the Pastor couldsay anything, the professor submitted: “Pastor, Jesus Christ isGod!”

The Professor continued, “You told me to study theBible for myself, and I‘ve done that. I studied from Genesis toRevelation; my finding is what I’m giving you: Jesus Christ is

God.” He found out the truth. Glory to God! Jesus said, “I“I andandmymy FatherFather areare one”one” (John 10:30). In our opening verse, Hesaid, “If you have seen me, you have seen the Father.” He’sone with the Father; that’s the meaning of “Son of God.”

Son of God doesn’t just mean somebody born of God;it means one with His nature. You’ve got to come to thatpoint in your life where you recognise that Jesus is HimselfGod. The Bible declares that the fullness of the Godheaddwells in Him bodily; (Colossians 1:19, 2:9) He’s thecomplete embodiment of Deity. Hallelujah!

Do all things without murmurings and disputings: Thatye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God,

without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perversenation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world

(Philippians 2:14-15).

YYou’re the light of the world; you’re a city set on a hill(Matthew 5:14); meaning that you’re the solution to

the darkness in the world. The Bible says, “For,“For, behold,behold, thethedarknessdarkness shallshall covercover thethe earth,earth, andand grossgross darknessdarkness thethepeople...”people...” (Isaiah 60:2). The gross darkness in the world is asign that it’s your time to arise, shine and light up your world.Romans 8:19 says, “For“For thethe earnestearnest expectationexpectation ofof thethecreationcreation waitethwaiteth forfor thethe manifestationmanifestation ofof thethe sonssons ofof God.”God.”The world is waiting for you to manifest the glory of God, tofree it from the decay and corrupting influences of Satan.

Psalm 74:20 says the dark places of the earth are filledwith the habitations of cruelty. That’s talking about spiritualdarkness and wickedness that’s prevalent in today’s world.But when you show up, the darkness and cruelty aredispelled. When you come into the world of the unsaved,bearing the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, salvationcomes to them.

Your light gives meaning, direction and beauty to yourworld. You’re the light in a dark world. Jesus said, “...As“...As mymyFatherFather hathhath sentsent me,me, eveneven soso sendsend II you”you” (John 20:21). Hecame to give our lives a meaning and then sent us as lightsto bring glory, excellence and meaning to the lives of thosearound us.
