Welcome to Riverside Presbyterian Church! Serving in the church can sometimes feel like being a waitress. Taking orders from diners who are unsure about what’s good to eat. Delivering heavy plates to the table knowing that many times the food will be left untouched and have to be thrown away. Placating impatient diners queued up at the door for a seat. Watching a steady stream of hungry people walking past the window who don’t even know there’s food available inside. It’s enough to make a church volunteer want to turn in her apron. But then she hears the bell being tapped to signal that a plate is on the serving counter. “Order up!” the cook shouts. She glances over to see if it’s for her table. The cook nods at her and smiles, filling her with His love. Love that she shares with all whom she is called to serve. As Christians we are called to love and serve one another. Today we celebrate that call on our lives and we recognize with gratitude those who have been faithfully serving the body of Christ at Riverside and at the many congregations represented by all who worship here. Now serving, Pastor Melanie

We welcome families to Riverside! For the children in worship, there are children’s bulletins, reading books, crayons and clipboards in the sanctuary near the double doors. Nursery is available for infants - 3 years. Children at 9:00am are invited to leave after the children’s message for age-appropriate lesson and activities. Newcomers are welcome to the Lenten Series on Wednesday nights through March 16th. Classes are offered for adults & children and a pre-series light supper will be served in Fellowship Hall each night at 6pm for $5.00. Sign up at the Box Office in Fellowship Hall. Worship Leaders Needed! We are looking for children who want to assist at the 9:00 am service with pouring water into the Baptismal font, lighting the candles, preparing the Communion table, etc. We also need Lay Readers for the 11:00am services to read the call to worship, scriptures, etc. Please contact the church office for more information or to sign up. Pew Patrollers and Handy Helpers Needed: Ever wonder how the pew racks are stuffed? Curious as to what your singing voice sounds like in an empty sanctuary? Do you have a knack for being tidy? Enjoy a little light duty outside work? To participate, please call the church office - we appreciate your help! Riverside's Dr. Vernon Boushell Concert Series presents "Vivaldi's Gloria" on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 3:30 PM. Conductors Richard Sabino & Beth Green will lead the Riverside Chamber Orchestra and Chorale. A free ticket is available in our Box Office, at www.RiversidePres.org, or by calling the Ticket Line at 321-525-7825. For those without internet access, computers will be available in the church office. Stay tuned for more information in next week’s bulletin. Thank you to Jodi Bodekker for her talented contribution to our two worship services last week. She is such a talented flautist and we are blessed to have her share those talents several times a year.

Easter flowers have been ordered. Thank you to everyone who purchased plants for our Sanctuary and for delivery to our homebound members. Although we are unable to accept any further order forms, if you would like to sponsor a week of Sanctuary flowers, sign up in the Narthex.
