2015 Membership Statistics: During 2015 we welcomed 18 new members. Not including the new members, we had 5 members who attended all 10 Probus meetings. Congratulations Helmy and John Aben, Anne Cumming, Susan Dirks, and Vern Foell!! There were 44 members who attended 7 or more meetings –

Well done!! New Probus members have a red dot on their nametags. Please take a few moments to introduce yourself to them during the coffee break, welcome them to our club, and encourage them to join the Events and Interest Groups. If you have any changes to your address, phone or email information, please advise Betsy Rothwell at [email protected].

Wine tasting started for Wine Group C at the Jacksons’ house on January 16th. There were seven members pre-sent; four “snowbirds” will be joining in for the April meet-ing. We were treated to an excellent range of Pinot Noir wines from various countries. It is not usually the case, but this time the most expensive wine was a clear winner. These are the wines that the group tasted and the order in which they were liked: 1. Meiomi Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir California 2014 $26.95 2. Cono Sur Bicicleta Pinot Noir Chile 2014 $10.95 3. Lulu B Pinot Noir France 2013 $10.95 4. Gnarly Head Pinot Noir California 2013 $14.95 5. G. Marquis Pinot Noir Niagara 2013 $16.95 As usual, there was a lively discussion over various totally unrelated subjects!
