SECTION 4: OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Fingerprint Management

1.1 Registration of fingers:

You can register 80 fingers at most, including 5 managers and 75 common users.

5 managers can not only control the lock functions (e.g. unlock), but also the

fingerprint management (e.g. register, delete fingerprint); while 75 common

users can only operate the lock and they are not authorized to manage fingers.

ATTENTION: As the default setting, there is not any finger in the lock before it

is in use, so any finger can open it when it is electrified. Therefore, make sure

to register the fingers as soon as possible to ensure safety.

1.1.1. Registration of manager (1 ~ 5)

STEP After the lock is electrified, press button to start. The collecting window turns

bright and the green light glitters.

STEP Press button down and dont release the finger until 10 seconds pass. (The

red light glitters once after 5 seconds and it will glitter twice in all, with a di sound at the

same time. After the red light glitters twice, release your finger. The collecting window is

bright and the green light and red light glitter together).

STEP (If there is no registered finger in the lock, go straight to the next step.) The manager

presses his registered finger once to confirm. If it succeeds, there will be 3 continuous di

sounds and the green light glitters; if it fails, the red light turns bright and a di sound is

emitted to remind you of inputting correct manager finger.

STEP After confirmation, input finger needed to be registered, input each finger for 3

times. (The collecting window will be dark after you press finger each time to remind you of

releasing finger. After hearing the di sound, input the same finger again. 3 times in all).

STEP After 3 times input, three di sounds are emitted to remind you of registration are

complete. You can continue to input other managers (repeat the former procedure) or wait to

do other operations after the collecting window is dark. If the input fails, a di sound is given

and the red light turns bright to remind you of registering fingers again (repeat the last step).

NOTE: It is recommended to register not less than 2 managers for the convenience.

Amount inquiry of fingers

Amount of manager: When you register a new manager, presses button as soon as

manager puts in his finger. The glittering times of light show the amounts of managers.

Amount of common users: when you register a new common user, press button as soon as

manager puts in his finger. The glittering times of light show the amounts of managers

Location inquiry of registered fingers

After the registration (press the fingers needed to register in the third time), press button

immediately to demonstrate the position of the registered fingers.

The glittering times of green and red lights stand for the location of users: the glittering times of

green light are the tens value and red light are the units value. If the light does not glitter, the value

is zero (e.g. if the green light glitters twice and the red light glitters 3 times, the figure is 23)

STEP The manager presses his registered finger once to delete all common users. If it

succeeds, there will be 3 continuous di sounds and the green light and red light glitter

together; if it fails, the red light turns bright and a di sound is emitted to remind you of

inputting correct manager finger.

STEP The manager presses his registered finger once again to delete all managers. If it

succeeds, there will be 3 continuous di sounds and the green light and red light glitter

together; if it fails, the red light turns bright and a di sound is emitted to remind you of

inputting correct manager finger.

2. Lock Functions

2.1 Unlock with the registered fingers

STEP After the lock is electrified, press button to start. The collecting window

turns bright and the green light glitters.

STEP Press the registered finger once in the center of collecting window with a little

strength.

STEP Lock opens and you can twist the door handle to unlock. After 3 seconds, it locks.

2.2 State of always unlock: the door will always be open.

STEP Open the lock first.

STEP After the lock is open, twist the lock handle downwards immediately or press down

button . Dont release finger until 5 seconds pass (after 5 seconds, a di sound is

given to remind you of releasing finger).

STEP Under this condition, anyone can open it without registered finger.

STEP Twist the lock handle downwards or press down button for another 5 seconds

to back into the normal status (Dont release finger until 5 seconds pass, after 5 seconds, a

di sound is given to remind you of releasing finger).

2.3 Limited unlock: only managers can open the lock

STEP Open the lock first.

STEP After the lock is open, twist the lock handle downwards immediately or press down

button . Dont release until 10 seconds pass (after 5 seconds, a di sound is given and

another di sound is given after 10 seconds to remind you of releasing finger).

STEP After hearing the second di sound, release hands or finger. The collecting

window gets bright to remind you of inputting the managers finger.

STEP Input the managers finger in the center of collecting window. If it succeeds, the

collecting window will get dark. Only manager can open it next time.

2.4 Lock from inside:

Turn the deadbolt on the back panel to lock from inside. Under this status, fingerprint and

password cannot open it from outside. Only emergency keys take effect.

3. Password

Apart from the fingerprint and emergency keys, password is also available to open the door.

One manager password and one common user password can be set with two buttons. The

alternate application of two buttons forms a 4-digit password.

3.1 Unlock with password:



STEP Input passwords (start with button , then input the password and end with

button . The pressing times stands for the each figure of password. E.g. if the

password is 1234, you must press button once1, press button twice2,

press button three times3 and press button four times4.

STEP Press button once to confirm.

STEP If the password is correct, the lock will open and close in 3 seconds.

ATTENTIONS:

All operation will terminate if no operation continues in 9 seconds.

When it starts with low power, the red light will glitter and 3 di sounds will be given.

It will give an alarm automatically in 5 seconds if it is prized or doesnt close well.

The registration of common users must be under the authentication of manager.

Power consumption is a little different according to different models.

There is no initial password. Password can not be revised but to be covered by the new

one. After complete deletion, all passwords are erased.

SECTION 8: ATTENTIONS

FINKIN Fingerprint locking devices are used by people with the need for a more

secure working environment. To ensure a long lasting trouble free use of this

product, please read the following cautions. Keep away from:

Strong magnetism

Strong radiation

Salt

Dampness

High temperature

Low temperature

Direct sunshine

1. FINKIN locking devices retain many characteristics of fingerprints. There

are no pictures of them, so there is not a privacy problem.

2. When used, your finger must not be too dry or too damp. If your finger is too

dry, simply touch your forehead or nose to make a primary contact.

3. Be careful to not scratch the fingerprint scanning window. Please keep the

window clean by using a soft damp cloth. Do not use any type of abrasive

cleaners as they will damage the scanning window.

4. If the door is distorted or becomes warped, it will cause too much friction

between the lock bolt trough and dead bolt case. So the locking device works

properly, you will need to adjust the position of the lock trough and the dead

bolt case.

5. Beeping alarm will sound when battery is low on power, change to a new

battery.

6. Key can open door at any status.

7. For security, every user should use more than two fingerprints.

8. If there are complications on opening the door lock, contact the local

distributor for assistance. Do not try to repair the fingerprint lock assembly.

SECTION 9: FAQs

QUESTION: Fingerprint lock works with batteries, so what should we do if the batteries fail?

ANSWER: The lock is supplied by four AA alkaline batteries. The door lock alarm will sound

automatically. Replace the old battery with new batteries. When the alarm is first sounds, you can

use the door lock approximately 30 more times. You can have access through the door by key if

necessary.

QUESTION: My finger was injured or cut, how can I open the door?

ANSWER: Normally small cuts will not restrict access, larger cuts will require you gain entrance

with your passage key.

QUESTION: Why is it necessary to input my fingerprint three times during programming of the

lock mechanism?

ANSWER: On registering the finger, our model needs 3 times to collect the fingerprint

characteristics to ensure their accuracy, while when we open it, our model just compares the image

with the collected characteristic. Therefore, once is enough.

QUESTION: Why does the door not unlock with my registered finger?

ANSWER: There are four basic reasons for this:

a) The fingerprint used is not the finger recorded.

b) Your fingerprint could be too dry or too damp.

c) Finger was not pressed firmly enough on the scanning window, use additional pressure..

d) The original fingerprint was not imprinted in the memory firmly enough and the system cannot

identify it. It is best to use two fingerprints when programming, so there would be a back up.

Re-program your fingerprint lock with new use prints.

QUESTION: After I press button and press button for a few seconds, why cant I

get into the process of fingerprint deletion?

ANSWER: Before you press button , you may touch this button for a short time carelessly.

In such a situation, the system needs passwords to continue. Therefore, you have to wait 9 seconds

until the light extinguishes. If you want to delete fingerprints, please press button directly for

5 or 10 seconds after operation starts.
