GNA University is promoted by GNA Gears Ltd, one of the companies of GNA Group. GNA made its existence in 1946 in the village Bundala, District Jalandhar, Punjab, India. GNA University's Institution Innovation Council (GU-IIC)
Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India has established Institution Innovation Council (IIC) to systematically foster the culture of Innovation amongst all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The primary mandate of IIC is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas and transform them into prototypes during their course of study.
GNA University's Institution Innovation Council (GU-IIC) is established in 2018 and dedicatedly working towards organizing various MHRD's guided activities to enhance students' interest in various Hackathons and Innovations and entrepreneurship and startup. GU-IIC has awarded 4.5 stars for 2019-2020 activities by IIC. We have seven Innovation Ambassadors in the sectors of Design Thinking and Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Intellectual Property Rights, and Startups, appointed by MHRD.
GNA University's Centre for Innovation (GU-CI), encourages, promotes and supports innovation and entrepreneurship amongst the students, staff and faculty members. GNA University hosted 5 days Kart Design Challenge. Kart design Challenge was an intercollegiate automotive design competition for the undergraduate and graduate engineering students where teams from all across the globe from engineering streams came to design and fabricate a Go-Kart which was evaluated through a progression of static, dynamic and toughness occasions like SES, DES, races, CAD/CAE, Design, Cost and Innovation, drive greatness, ER² and some more. In this event teams from different states participated. Cash prizes of worth Rs. 6 Lakh in 23 different categories were given to the teams. Mr. Nitin Jairam Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport and Highways of India inaugurated the event with S. Gursharan Singh MD GNA Group. Mr. I.V. Rao Executive Advisor, Engineering & Director, Maruti Centre of Excellence at Maruti Suzuki India Limited and Mr. K. S. Dhoddy Executive Director SML ISUZU was Keynote speakers during the event and shared his experience with students about the future of automobile vehicles.
GNA University Go Kart team had participated in Students Kart Design Challenge (SKDC) at Hyderabad. It is a three day event comprising various static and dynamic rounds. Our team has performed well in most of the rounds. They bagged 2nd position in E plan, 3rd position in Assembly & Disassembly and they cleared technical inspection in first round.
KART DESIGN CHALLENGE
GNA University, in association with Polytechnic University of Madrid (Spanish: Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, UPM), conducted an International Conference on “Smart Innovation, Ergonomics and Applied human factors” (SEAHF) at Madrid Spain from 22ⁿ� Jan 2019 to 24�� Jan 2019.SEAHF aimed to provide a common platform for the vibrant research community and industry professionals to solve real-life problems using information and communication technologies.GNA University also organized International conference on Current Trends in Engineering & Technology on 8��-9�� Jan 2021.
Mr. C. R. Tripathy (Dean Faculty of Engineering Design and Automation – Design division) participated in the PTC Education VIP submit at Aachen University Germany. In this submit academician from various colleges and University of 19 countries shared their views on the advance Technologies which is used in modern industries. During the Submit Mr. Tripathy presented views over the application of future Technologies such as Augument Reality, Virtual Reality, Product Life Management (PLM) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) in Automation and Robotics System. The academician from Japan and Korea explore about the Critical input to student for strengthens their knowledge base according to industrial revolution 4.0. As a vision for the future, Mr. Tripathy aims to amalgamate the industrial automation standards of speed and precision into the programs on offer.
