1.1 Release of Windows XP

• Released operating systems of DonationMaster Net:– W95, W98, WNT, W2000 and

WXP.

1.2 Enhanced mobile donation

• DECT radio transmission technology is leading,• Fresenius was the first to introduce this technology into mobile

donation. • Competitive highlights:

1. Protected frequency band2. Auto-synchronisation with other

DECT user in the area3. Low EM radiation4. Safe encrypted data transfer5. Ease of use



1.2 Enhanced mobile donation• “Ease of use” was a major focus for Fresenius mobile data

management development.

• New features:1. Auto scan function2. Requirement:3. Mobile teams typically shift devices

from team to team on a daily basis.4. The auto scan detects all present

devices automatically and connects them to the network.




• Autarkic network mode:– During start up of a mobile

donation– CompoGuard is able to

automatically down load e.g. released

– LOT bag numbers, or a list of – released operators.– A competitive feature. To

support GMP rules.




• Autarkic network mode:– During start up CompoGuard is

connected via network mode to DonationMaster Net.

– The lists are automatically down loaded, parallel the up-to-date identifier is set for this day.

– For the rest of this day CompoGuard can operate autarkic w/o connection to DonationMaster Net / PC / Notebook.

– The PC can be used else where, no switch to Manual mode is necessary.




• Autarkic network mode:– Also the modus Panel barcode and

the Intelligent donation number are operating in the autarkic network modus.

– These modus are ideal if operators intend to switch between different programs easily during the donation session, e.g. use different donation volumes.




• Improved network stability:– Typically three situations could harm a stable network

communication:– Presents of different DECT users, leading to ongoing

synchronisation amongst users– Inactive selected CompoGuard– Strong “EM smog” might also have had

influence




• Improved network stability:– The network communication was optimised to keep

communication stable also under critical conditions:– Optimised synchronisations doesn't harm network anymore– Auto select function automatically

de-actives inactive CompoGuard– EM smog didn't have any influence,

like cellular phones or WLAN




• Improved network stability:– The network monitor and the revised display symbols are

visible proves of the improved network communication.



1.3 Scanning and sealing during donation

• Since introduction of the pre-donation sampling bags scanning and sealing during donation got a market requirement. Back ground is optimise efficiency in workflow for the operators and to support GMP compliance.

• GMP compliance: Scanning and sealing is documented.



1.3 Filter for donation data to be compatible to CompoMixer interface

• Background is the requirement that customers want to transfer CompoGuard into their blood bank information system w/o need to adapt the already existing interface of DonationMaster / CompoMixer.

• Charging indicating lamp to indicate correct connections




• Store battery services protocol in CompoGuard memory:

• CompoGuard files the last 70 battery services in an internal rotating stack. Filed parameters are:– Date of executed battery service– Duration of battery service– Switch off criteria – Auto log file, accessible for trained

service technicians only.



3. CompoRack

• Market requirement was to charge batteries also when space to install 4-fold chargers is limited.

• CompoRack is designed to enable charging of up to 12 batteries on three stacked 4-fold charger.

• More over the CompoRack are stackable.

• A tower of up to 3 CompoRack can be set up, with the lowest rack standing on the ground.




FCGA = Fresenius CompoGuard Analysis tool

• One of the major benefits and added value of data management is transparency of the actual happenings during the production process, e.g. the donation process.

• Donation data allow analysis of what has happened when and who did it on a single donation data base.

• DonationMaster Net automatically provides donation data acquired according to GMP standards.




• In general donation data are transferred in ASCII format to the blood bank, for automatic analysis and reporting.

• How ever these ASCII data are not ideal to get a visual overview at first glance. For this reason FCGA was developed.




• The program FCGA processes the ASCII donation data, provided from DonationMaster NT / Net, and creates a customized graphic and numeric analysis.

• This analysis is basis to review and optimise processes. Result of optimised processes is e.g. improved quality and reduced loss. A real added value to our customers!




• FCGA is designed to be quick & easy to use, easy to customized on individual parameters, providing statistical data as well as graphic overview.

• Abstract from blood bank Haema AG Berlin, May 2006,validation partner of DonationMaster Net.

Conclusion DonationMaster Net Release:

CompoGuard data management via DECT radio transmission enables a save, reliable and easy to use documentation of the donation process in terms of GMP. Donation data can reliably be transferred from DonationMaster Net to a blood bank information system via interface.
