Each one embodies key aspects relating to the

Internet Economy, including areas of e-commerce,

payments, transfer of value through prepaid cards,

mobile and point of sale payments and transfers as

well as embodiments relating to the conversion and

allocation of virtual or crypto-currency transactions.

Felix Grovit believes that as The Internet, or

crucially “The Internet of Things” comes to

permeate almost every area of commercial and

personal life, Intellectual Property Rights will offer

the best strategic vantage point from which to enter

or participate in these markets.

Patents, which by definition are unique, are

also backed by the order and authority of a

sovereign state while offering, where

appropriate, the additional advantage of an

almost undiluted and a defined franchise

within the relevant jurisdictions.

United States, China, Japan, the United

Kingdom, Russia, Australia, South Africa and

approximately 10 Sub-Saharan jurisdictions.

Further patents are pending in the United

States, Brazil and the European Union.

The Internet Economy (leaving aside for

these purposes the clumsily named Internet

of Things) and its attendant payment volumes

and systems are experiencing explosive

growth rates.

It is in the areas of transfers and payments

within these markets that the Patents are

concentrated.
