Part I: Introduction to the subject:

Production management laboratory rules

1. How to pass – two elements:

1) Reports (70 points). After each class students will have time to send a report to the course instructor via e–mail: monika.kosacka@put.poznan.pl.

Each report will be assessed :

- points for tasks (print screens from tasks)- answers for questions related to the task.

2) Last class – the examination with the computer (30 points).

Each student will individually answer 3 questions about classes and everything what was made during it with the use of the system Axapta.

FINAL MARK: sum of 1 (reports) and 2 (examination) , total 100 points.

2. Format of the report – it is available at the website: www.fem.put.poznan.pl in teaching materials - name: PM_report template, all task are also in teaching materials e.g. PM_Class_1

3. Name of the report: PM report_ no_surname_date of the classes

Example: PM report_1_Kosacka_21.09.2019

4. How to log to the system?

Polish windows

Part II: Introduction to the system

1. Window MS DYNAMICS ® AX is composed of the following elements: Title, Functions, Tools, Menu, Optional, hidden navigation panel – divided into the following parts:

o Optional, configurable list „Favourites”,o Optional, list of „Locations” of predefined main function,o Optional, list of „Forms” of predefined main function,o List of functions of main application,

Work area in the stages:

o Detailed functions of predefined main function,o Work window,

Status.

Navigation panel – to use functions windows. Opening a window for predefined function can be done with one click on the name of the function.

ATTENTION!Many windows can be open simultaneously but only one is active – the

active one is darker.

2. Function: Filtering records

Filtering approaches:

System Microsoft Dynamics® AX enables using the following filters:

Filter with a choice — enables filtering records with values in each cell e.g. we choose filter with a choice and we choose „Goods” field, and all the records of „Goods” type will be filtered out. Filter with a field — filtering records with predefined criteria, Filter with a net — enables introduction of many filters (works as autofiltr in Excell) Advanced filter — enables introduction of many filters and sorting data.

To delete filtering results in the form the following icon should be selected or you can close and open the window again.

3. Keyboard shortcuts:

- Ctr+ N – new record Ctr +G – filtering - Ctrl+S – save Alt +F9 - delete

4. Choosing a company

The program can be used by many companies. There is an ability to choose an appropriate company in the navigation panel (Figure 3):

Part III: Introduction a new item into a system(HOW TO DEFINE NEW ITEMS IN A WAREHOUSE?)

1. Database with all items into the system

Here are all products and components. It is a common database

To add new Item – we can use CTRL + N or use a menu.

When you will create new item system will offer you a possibility of using defined pattern

(template). First item make with: blank (see below).

a) General information about the item:

Each item is defined in the database by some information including the following data:

Item number, Item name, Search name (it is helpful during searching an item), Item

group - group of products – e.g. Products (named in a system WYROBY - in polish),

Item Type (There are e.g. ITEM (we buy it), BOM (Bill of materials) if a product is

consisted of some components (production)).

Each item has got many bookmarks like: GENERAL, SETUP , etc., which characterize items.

b) Warehouse information about the item:

Besides these data into bookmarks there are also information about warehouse.

How to find warehouse characteristic of an item?The item should be highlighted, click to: button: Setup default order

settings and choose correct option (Figure 5):
