Ferrari 360/550 Mirror Switch Trim and Button Removal

This writeup was done on a 360, but the procedure for the 550 should be almost identical

Tools you will need: Flashlight, regular sized Phillips screwdriver

and small palm size Phillips screwdriver

Open the ashtray and remove the plastic bucket, you will see a screw in the bottom.

Remove the screw and lift out the ashtray assembly, unclip the power wire to the cigarette lighter, set the ashtray aside out of your way. Next remove the four screws

holding the T reserve handle assembly if you have an F1 equipped car.

Carefully lift it out and set it out of your way. Next reach your hand into the opening where the ashtray was and unclip the three power wires to the switch and buttons.

You’re going to need a small Phillips screwdriver. There are four screws, one at each corner under the trim holding it into place. You can reach into the opening and feel the four screw heads. They are NOT easy to remove because there is not a lot of work space

in the opening, but with patience and a small hand you will get them out.

Remove the four screws and be careful to catch them as they come out, if they fall into the center console area they may be hard to find

Once you have removed the four screws the trim should lift out into your hand.
