NOBU LĀNA‘ISet cliffside overlooking the protected

marine preserve at Hulopo‘e Bay, NOBU

L-ANA‘I offers sweeping panoramic views

and innovative Japanese cuisine. The menu

draws upon chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s classical

training as a sushi chef in Tokyo, his life

abroad in South America, and his travels

around the world. Experience the chef’s

signature new-style Japanese cuisine,

as well as his new creations infusing local

Hawaiian ingredients. Dine at the sushi bar,

ONE FORTYThis restaurant’s name pays homage

to our island’s beautiful 140 square miles

(363 square kilometers), as well as our

signature steaks, which are prepared

medium and served at 140 degrees

Fahrenheit (60 degrees Celsius). Start

incorporating an island influence. Dinner

features hand-cut steaks and fish caught

just off shore. Our chef showcases flavors

FESTIVE DINING POLICIES

ADVANCE RESERVATIONSDue to high demand for restaurant

reservations during the festive season,

we encourage you to make reservations

prior to your arrival. Please be aware that

if no reservations are made in advance,

reservation times will be limited.

NO-SHOW/ CANCELLATION POLICYOur festive dining policy is in effect from

Tuesday, December 19, 2017 to Monday,

January 1, 2018. For any reservation that is

cancelled within four hours of the reservation

time or if the party does not show for the

reservation, a USD 50 per-person fee will

apply. All reservations will be released 15

minutes after the reserved time if the party

does not arrive. Reservations are designated

a two-hour period from the time of the

reservation. Guests taking longer may

be relocated to the lounge. The following

events will incur a cancellation fee of 100%

of the total reservation if cancelled inside

48 hours and 100% of the total event cost

per person as a no-show fee: Holiday Lu‘au

on December 28 and New Year’s Eve at

NOBU L-ANA‘I, ONE FORTY, and Malibu Farm.

WINE POLICY We offer an award-winning wine list that

regularly evolves, often based on current

trends and guest preferences. If we are not

able to acquire your preferred wine from

a private collection, vintner or vendor, you

may bring that wine into our restaurants.

A USD 45 corkage fee is applicable per bottle.

HAWAI‘I STATE LAW – DRINKING AGEHawai‘i state law clearly states that no one

under the age of 21 may be served alcoholic

beverages, including beer, wine and liquor.

If an employee is unable to determine the age

of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage,

a legal form of photo identification will be

requested. Identification must be presented

prior to beverage service.

HAWAI‘I STATE LAW – SMOKING POLICYIn accordance with Hawai‘i state law,

Four Seasons Resort La-na‘i offers a smoke-

free hotel stay. Kindly use our designated

smoking area.

LARGE PARTIESDue to space considerations, we will not

be able to honor all requests for large tables.

Parties larger than eight guests may be

seated at separate tables. Please note that

all reservations will be released 15 minutes

after the reserved time if the entire confirmed

party does not show and a no-show/

cancellation fee will apply. For families dining

together, please provide the names of all

family members to avoid double bookings.

KEIKI DININGAll restaurants and in-room dining offer

children’s menus, high chairs and tabletop

toys. High chairs for in-room dining may

be coordinated through our housekeeping

department. Kids age five and under eat free

from keiki menus at dining venues (excluding

in-room dining, the pool and beach) when

accompanied by a paying adult. Advance

reservations are required. All menu items

and prices are subject to change.

exploring the ocean paradise off our

SNORKELINGRight off our beach, Hulopo‘e Bay is

a protected marine preserve with some

of the best snorkeling spots in Hawai‘i.

The waters are crystal clear and beautiful

coral reefs, featuring an abundance

of colorful tropical fish, are virtually

undisturbed. Spinner dolphins frequently

come here to play. Our beach kiosk offers

complimentary snorkeling equipment,

including snorkels, fins and masks — as

well as prescription masks.

SNORKEL SAILSSet sail aboard a luxury custom sailing

catamaran and discover why La-na‘i has

been rated one of the top 10 snorkel

and scuba sites in the world. Three-hour

excursion includes snorkel gear, stand-up

paddle boards, towels and instruction.

You’ll visit the cove at Kaunolu- where

there are large numbers of Hawaiian day

octopus, as well as reef fish, brilliantly

colored parrotfish and pyramid butterflyfish.

Enjoy appetizers, fresh fruit and a selection

of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

after snorkeling. We can also arrange private

charters for sailing or fishing.

SCUBALa-na‘i is a dream dive destination with

over 13 dive sites to explore. The waters

are famous for unique underwater lava

formations (arches and tubes), pristine

intro and certified dives are available as

upgrades on snorkel sails. Or charter

a private two-tank dive and go beyond

the ordinary. Next-generation diving gear

WHALE WATCH EXPERIENCEThis seasonal ocean adventure explores

some of the most remote and unspoiled

Hawai‘i’s largest schools of spinner dolphins,

La-na‘i is home to North Pacific humpback

whales from December through April.

These fascinating mammals are often

spotted on our sailing adventure. Just climb

up onto our 360-degree viewing platform

explore this 90,000-acre (36,422-hectare)

island. Please make advance reservations

to ensure availability.

HIKINGWith so many contrasting landscapes,

La-na‘i offers natural motivation for

hiking. Select from short trails and more

strenuous climbs along cliffs and ridges

to reach stunning lookout points — just

ask for a trail map. Be sure to walk to the

point of Hulopo‘e Bay Beach, where you’ll

find tide pools filled with marine life, such

as sea cucumbers, spaghetti worms and

sea stars. For a gorgeous sunrise view,

take a stroll along the cliffside path to

Pu‘upehe (Sweetheart Rock).

GUIDED HIKESTo learn as you walk, you can choose

from guided field seminars with one of

our local island experts. Visit Keahiakawelo

(Garden of the Gods), Koloiki and Pu‘u

Manu, Kaunolu-, Keo-moku and the Pa-la-wai

Basin. Hikes range from easy to moderate

and each seminar includes a visit to the

La-na‘i Culture & Heritage Center.

BIKINGExperience scenic La-na‘i on two wheels.

Rent mountain bikes from the La-na‘i

Adventure Center and take to the red dirt

road. Be sure to explore La-na‘i City!

HORSEBACK RIDING Ride horseback into the hills surrounding

Ko‘ele — once the center of ranching

operations on the island — or explore the

wooded valleys and trails of this extraordinary

upland terrain. On your journey, you might

spot axis deer, mouflon sheep and turkey.

Private sunset rides are available with

24-hour advance notice. Kids of all ages

will enjoy petting the miniature horses and

donkeys at the Ranch at Ko‘ele. Custom

tours and private lessons are also available.

UTV TOURSClimb into a Polaris UTV (a four-wheel Utility

Terrain Vehicle) for an adrenaline-fueled

adventure along rugged off-the-beaten-path

trails. Weave through the island’s majestic

ironwood forests and verdant valleys, as

your guide shares stories about the diverse

landscapes, history and sacred sites. With

dramatic vistas of neighboring islands and

the chance to spot wildlife, it’s a genuinely

unforgettable ride. You might choose

to welcome the morning with a private

two- or three-hour tour in a Polaris RZR

or Ranger UTV. Take in the mountaintop

heiau (sacred temple site) Pu‘u Makani

with vistas of water and forests on either side,

then head to the Naha lookout for sunrise.

4X4 OFF-ROADINGWith only 30 miles (48 kilometers) of paved

roads — and no traffic lights — La-na‘i is ideal

for off-roading. Rent a four-wheel drive

vehicle from the La-na‘i Adventure Center

and head out on your own, exploring miles

of rugged terrain and taking in the scenery

of Keo-moku Village, the petrogylphs, Kaunolu-

Keahiakawelo, Polihua Beach and Kaiolohia

(Shipwreck Beach). Or stop in to visit

La-na‘i City! Take along a Four Seasons picnic

to enjoy at the location of your choice.

ARCHERY AND SPORTING CLAYS At the La-na‘i Archery & Shooting Range,

you’ll find a 14-station, state-of-the-art

sporting clays course, providing an exciting

experience for both novice and experienced

shooters. Friendly staff make everyone

feel comfortable. Located on the north side

of the island, on the plains of Mahana, the

range offers spectacular views of Moloka‘i

and Maui. Enjoy archery adventures as well.

VISITING LĀNA‘I CITYThe island’s main town, La-na‘i City was

established when James Dole purchased

nearly the entire island in November 1922

in order to cultivate pineapples. Dole built

a plantation camp — now La-na‘i City — and

the layout was influenced by traditional

town designs, where streets are arranged

in grid style around a main square or green.

Between 1924 and 1929, La-na‘i City prospered,

and most of the existing buildings and streets

were constructed during this short period.

Today the population is about 3,000 people.

It’s a fun place to come for a “Dole Stroll”,

visiting the local shops, galleries, coffee shops

and restaurants, as well as the La-na‘i Culture

and Heritage Center. Or take in a first-run

movie at the restored Hale Keaka theatre.

MEET THE MINIS Venture upcountry and spend time

with the Ranch's miniature horses and

donkeys. Pet or groom the minis and

let our wranglers talk story about the

paniolo (cowboy) culture on La-na‘i. Book

a complimentary ride on the Resort Shuttle

LĀNA‘I CULTURE & HERITAGE CENTERFrom the 1950s through the 1970s, La-na‘i

was the world’s largest pineapple plantation,

but there is much more to its history. Our

island’s official museum, the La-na‘i Culture

and Heritage Center – located in La-na‘i

City — covers nearly a millennium of changes,

from 1,000 AD when the first Hawaiians

settled here to the end of the plantation era

in 1992. The museum features all kinds of

local treasures: clothing, furniture, plantation

equipment, poi pounders, and ulu maika

(bowling) stones that residents found

when working in the fields. It’s a fascinating

opportunity to learn more about this unique

island paradise.

HO‘OKIPA CULTURAL PROGRAMLearn about Hawaiian history, art and

culture from our island’s kupuna (elders).

Meet Auntie Irene and Uncle Bully Davis

who originally started selling locally made

crafts at Keo-moku on La-na‘i over 20 years

ago. In our Ho‘okipa (hospitality) cultural

program, you can join in their ongoing series

of complimentary interactive classes. The

goal is to enrich and inspire, while allowing

access to the island’s most revered elders

as they educate and share their cultural

knowledge, oral history, tradition and art.

Highlights include ukulele lessons, coconut

weaving, lei making, and “talk story” sessions.

NANNY SERVICES Our childcare provider, Nanny Connection,

aims to accommodate all of our guests’

childcare needs. Due to the high number

of requests during the festive season,

certain holiday policies are in effect. There

is a three-hour minimum for services, and

nanny services must be reserved in advance.

STANDARD RATESWe have a standard booking fee of USD

25 per request. A credit card number is

required to guarantee the service; however,

payment is made directly to the nanny in

cash. Nanny confirmations are subject to

change. Nanny Connections reserves the

right to substitute with an alternate nanny

in the event of scheduling conflicts, illness

or unavailability of the nanny beyond the

AIR TRANSPORTATION Ohana by Hawaiian Airlines offers a number

of daily flights from Honolulu International

Airport (HNL) to La-na‘i Airport (LNY).

Convenient plane and helicopter charters

from all islands to La-na‘i are offered by

a number of providers, including Resort Air.

Guests of Four Seasons Resort La-na‘i

traveling through Honolulu’s airport earn

complimentary entry to our exclusive Luxury

Airport Lounge, a spacious and quiet

retreat offering food and beverage services,

entertainment, and Wi-Fi access.

Air Service Hawai‘i offers FBO operations

at La-na‘i Airport, including jet refueling,

plane-side access, catering and more.

FERRYThe Expeditions passenger ferry offers

daily services between Lahaina, Maui

and the Ma-nele Small Boat Harbor on

La-na‘i. The scenic ferry ride is 45 minutes

and there are five round-trip ferries

throughout the day. Private transfers

via charter boat are both available.

CHARTERED BOAT TRANSFERFor your inter-island transfer or for a day

trip to Maui, you may charter Kalulu, a 39-foot

inflatable RIB previously used as a chase

boat for the Americas Cup. Accommodating

up to six passengers, the transfer may be

as quick as 20 minutes or take 90 minutes

or more, if whale watching or sightseeing

is on the agenda.

ARRIVAL TRANSFERSFour Seasons luxury shared-shuttle island

transportation is included with all guest rooms

and suite reservations. This includes arrival

and departure transfers, intra-island shuttles,

and activity and golf shuttles to and from

the Resort. Reservations booked in an Ohana

Suite or higher will receive upgraded arrival
