Christmas is a special time for all families, but when life is short, every moment counts. Every year, our amazing staff put their heart and soul into giving our children and their families an utterly unforgettable Christmas.

The Donna Louise Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 11th December (or any other day you choose!) is a fantastic way to do your bit this Christmas - and organising it’s a doddle. Spread the word, collect the donations and send the money in to us when you’re done. What could be easier?

If you fancy making an even bigger difference, you’ll find ten other easy-to-implement festive fundraising ideas, including our Bonus Bauble Sweepstake to turn you Christmas Jumper Day into a cracking Christmas fundraiser.

M E E T O S C A RLittle Oscar may have undergone two bouts of emergency surgery in the last few years, but he is still a bundle of

fun. The bubbly seven year-old loves coming to The Donna Louise and has been a frequent visitor since he was

just one year old.

Oscar’s dad, Mark, says, “Oscar just loves coming to The Donna Louise; it makes a real difference to him. Even for a

brief few moments we can forget about the challenges and difficulties and have some fun. For us, it gives us a bit

of respite and is an incredible help.”

Oscar has CHARGE syndrome, a rare genetic disorder, which affects his heart, growth, eyes and ears. Oscar relies

on a tracheostomy to breathe, is ventilated overnight and has to be fed via a tube. Despite all these challenges

he is a happy, smiley chap who lights up the room.

By doing your bit in a Christmas knit, you'll be making sure The Donna Louise can be there for children like Oscar at Christmas and throughout the year.

Running a Christmas Bauble sweepstake is as easy as 1-2-3 and is another great way to do your bit for The Donna Louise this Christmas.

1. Print off the Bonus Bauble poster included in this pack.

2. Ask colleagues or customers to write their name / number on theirchosen bauble in return for a £1 per bauble donation.

3. Once the following Saturday’s Lotto draw has taken place, give halfthe money collected to the person whose name is on that week’s bonusball number, donate the other half of the money to The Donna Louise.

1. Who can take part? Anyone! Whether a family of three, a school of 303, or acompany of 3,003, the more the merrier.

2. Do we have to hold our Christmas Jumper Day / Festive Fundraising event on 11th December? Absolutely not. It’s the day we’ve chosen to shout about, but you can hold your festive fundraising events whenever you choose.

3. What support can The Donna Louise give me? Our Fundraising team can provide collection buckets, balloons and plenty of moral support! Just call us on 01782 654444 or email [email protected]

4. Which Lotto draw should I choose for the Bonus Bauble game? It’s up to you, just make sure

that the people taking part know which draw’s ball will count.

5. Can I use the Bonus Bauble sweepstake poster for more than one draw? Absolutely. Simply print off a clean copy of the poster for each draw and you can run the sweepstake as many times as you like.

6. How do I get the money raised to you? There are lots of ways to do this, please see over.
