Year 2015 was a very successful year for the Endoscopy Education department of FUJIFILM Middle East and Africa.

The EEDFF completed successfully 38 education programs across 3 continents and in 14 different

countries at a rate of more than 3 events each month.

This would have not been possible without FUJIFILM distributors, partner companies and renowned KOL

educators.

We would like to take the chance to heart fully thank all of our distributors, partners and educators who

spent long evenings preparing the education materials and delivered tremendous trainings passionately.

2016 is a very challenging year for FUJIFILM Middle East and Africa and to the EEDFF in particular. We took

on our shoulders to go one step further.

This year we are committed to deliver 48 trainings at a rate of 4 trainings every month. Moreover, we

decided to add the EUS hands on training, the live animal trainings and the ERCP model trainings. We also

decided to venture and reach to the gastroenterologists in the Black African Continent – Ethiopia, Kenya,

Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, etc…

Those countries never had the opportunity and access to professional education programs. The EEDFF

supported by multiple Japanese and local organizations accepted the task of raising the standard of

endoscopy in Africa during 2016.

This first issue of 2016 summarizes some of the events we already concluded during first quarter of 2016.

Stay tuned for exciting events happening in your countries soon. Wishing you all a very successful 2016.

SALIM TAYAH Head of Endoscopy & Ultrasound Solutions Division (Middle East & Africa) FUJIFILM Middle East ( FZE )

It is the local community that

needs to own the commitment to

education
